Do a search on (big 3), might want to check into 1/0 gauge wire., look up clipping as car amps do not have volume levels but gain to match the pre amp voltage from radio. Sorry if I'm late with this but a good start on a car system.
Kickers L7s are very good subs my homie had two 15s L7s in his Tahoe on a T1000 Rockford fosgate amp and it shook your soul out of your body and this was about 8 years ago so yea good choice on the subs 👍
Bro i bought a 15 l7 1st gen..when they 1st came out.. Paid almost $500 for a sub and $200 for a custom box for 97 prelude.. Wow they gotten so cheap... Some1 stole my speaker & rockford amp.. they been out for like over 15 years nowz..
I have a question if anyone can help me that would be awesome I have two L7 12s subs i went with the kicker KX1200.1 amp My question is Will the 1200.1 kx am have enough power because i dont want to under power them im really thinking about upgrading to the KX2400.1 AMP Would that be over kill? Just hook up car subwoofers to a home theater system it sounds just as good as a home theater subwoofers kicker solo baric subwoofers would sound really good if they were hooked up to a home theater system but I think they would sound good in a car too
You should have kept reading Because it would have told you 750 W RMA 1500 W peak power handling capacity I don't know where you got 1500 what RMAS and 3000 W peak unless you are looking at adding both subs together on one line with 1 output and even then you're still going to go by the 750 W RMAS And the 1500 W peak power because that's what the actual subwoofers are going to see their each and that's What you go by
You could have used it for your home theater system and just used the home theater subwoofers in your car because car subwoofers can be used as home theater subwoofers if you use a plate amplifier or a external power amplifier such as a crown pa amplifier

@@lowhertzhighspl Yeah 600 is RMS And I'm hitting 2 of them with a 1800.1 kicker Amplifier at 1 OHM So they will definitely take a lot more than 600 Watts RMS Two Of them are taking on a kicker amplifier that says is it can produce up to 3600 Watts at 1 Ω So 600 Watts is definitely very underrated But that's what the manual say is and this is what I'm hitting them with a 1800.1 kicker CXA at 1 Ω and the amplifier says output of 3600 Watts So just remember they will take a beating!!
I had those same subs in a ported box with a 3k audio pipe class d amp in a ford ranger. Then a friend of was selling his Memphis 15's in a ported box and I bought those and had a custom box made for the ranger. And it was fucking loud
Whats interesting about the SVS driver... it doesn't look like anything that special.. Basically just a decent quality Driver.. What you are paying for however is the Design of the Box and Build quality.. That's is what is taking just a decent driver and making it produce copious amounts of quality Bass.. I have had the pleasure of hearing an SVS subwoofer in a sealed enclosure and was very impressed. Just a Tad out of my price range.
I think you will enjoy the The kickers but you will need a little more power then the audio pipe app I am look at the kicker kicker 1800.1.1 that will do one ohm There are 2 different styles of the 1800.1 kicker 1 of them is 2 ohm stable and the other is 1 ohm stable You want be one own stable And it will still do over the 1800 Watts .1 at 2 ohms because your Box is wired to 2 ohmes And trust me it will rock I own 2 of them and 2 sets of 12" kickers In the same Box even and and they are 750 W each and 1500 Watts peak power each at 1 ohm Please do not run below 1 ohm It will burn voice coil And if you use the kicker 1800.1 you will love the sound of those subs at 2 ohms And the 1800.1 will give you Max power at 2 ohms if you buy the 1 ohm Version of that amplifier It is the kicker CXA 1800.1 1 ohm stable Version and there is a 2 ohm stable Version that will do rated power but the 1 ohm stable Version is the more powerful amplifier it clamps a at about 3600 Watts peak power And has the power to blow The 2 12" kicker subs with no problem But setup properly you will love itBut please do the big 3 upgrade bring up grades and make sure to add at least 2 or 3 extra batteries please and a upgraded automator automator just to keep up with this one amplifier it is a beast compared to the ratings that it says on the amplifier Please remember it takes power to make power so the more batteries you you have the better and longer play time you have and the better electrical system on your carThe better the sound quality because you have the power to push the subs and amplifiers the way they need to be driven
That particular box is wired to 2 ohm impedance. They are dual 2 ohm subs. A pair of dual 2 ohm subs can't be wired to 1 ohm. But you're amp is rated 1500 watts at 1 ohm. Not 2. You're only getting about half of the power at 2 ohms.
Kpaceguy ok just making sure u knew that you were gonna be severely underpowering those subs. Very nice subs though. You should look into getting another amp identical too that one. Or an amp that's rated 1500 at 2 ohm. Regardless of what car you have them in. When you get a new car, you just transfer your system over.

back in the day every one with no clue about bang for your buck in the car audio game went for L7's every shop pushed em on people... even tho u can get way better subs then and now for the price.
That audiopipe isn't a true wattage amplifier! just search amp test on RU-vid and check out some, try finding the kicker zx1500.1 if both subs are 2 ohm each, and if there 4 ohm subs, try to find 2 kicker zx750.1 amps it's how there suppose to be set up for full power, and there loud!! Or you can try to find a 1 ohm true wattage amp and wire them down to a 1 ohm load only 4ohm subs can be done like that...

Odalis Bido well that depends what kicker sub you're getting. Just find a sub first and find a matching and that matches the rms power of your speaker. So for example my sub is 1500 rms 3000 at 2ohms peak so get an amp the can push 3000 at 2ohms
106lbs isn't really that heavy for two 12s and the box. Just look at the mtx 9500 12 it's almost 60lbs or a DC level 6 they are 80lbs ohh and don't forget the team sundown at a whopping 140lbs. And all the subs are with out the box. It's just subs weight

Those 12 in kicker Solo-Baric are 750 watts a piece RMS and 1500 watts of Peace peak power!! When you started your video you said they were 1500 watts RMS and 3000 Watts peak!! Just wanted to let you know the ratings you give were wrong!! Please do a little research you will understand!! 750 watt RMS 1500 watts peak!!
just another KICKER hater, disregard his post its generalization, there are many subwoofers out there and to be honest, not one brand is best IMHO. As long as it does it's job which is to provide low bass and be loud, it will work.. besides, you have to be clearly blind not to like what's in video. The box and woofers look sweet!!!

L7s catch a lot of shit because most hardcore bass heads prefer sundown...dc... Incriminator audio etc.... But to be honest the l7s are very decent subs with good sound quality and pound when put in the right box with the right power... Also get those out of that box... 3.4 cu ft per sub enclosure tuned to 32 Hertz and those would scream
Kpaceguy you would have to track down a local car audio shop or somebody on facebook in your area that makes speaker boxes.... And you're probably looking anywhere from 300-400 dollars for the box... But it's definitely worth the sound difference it would make...
Nah it don't bother me lol this video is so old before I really cared about RU-vid. My unboxing videos now are far more professional as is anything you practice doing
