Today we are making Kindling bundles. Wanted to try something new with slab wood from the mill. The Product is free just a little labor involved to make quality kindling bundles.

At first I was thinking how is Bear going to move the wheelbarrow with it that full? That is a slick and efficient setup

Looks great outside and an even better operation outside. You have a lot of good momentum with the bundles and kindle so keep it moving! Our family loves the real small pieces for the mini solo stoves, now just need to find how to get to the market with it. Merry Christmas Jeff and Patti🎄🎅

I cut my kindling the same way you do, but I made a stop out of a 4x4 at 16 inch length and take a handful of strips at a time and each cut I cut about 8 pieces at a time, much faster than 1 at a time. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Lights look great guys. I love the shop. And yes a woodstove takes a while to warm up the building, hot air is definitely quicker and convenient for last minute heat. Kenny

Looking to boost your sales? When packaging the bundle, insert an attractive advertising letter or card within the layers of shrink wrap. For an added touch, staple an 8-inch piece of brightly colored webbing to the top as a convenient handle for easy carrying.
@mountaintopoutdoors

We do that to our firewood bundles and if this works out the way I want it too we will do the same. Thank you for the hint

Hello Jeff and Patti, Christmas lights look awesome. What a great way to make bundles with free slab wood. QQQ, I couldn’t help but notice the compression spring on your bundler is completely compressed. I have the same Hudson bundler with the same problem. I wish they came with a much tougher compression spring. I actually removed mine but I’m constantly resetting the tension which is a pain in the butt. Do you have the same problem constantly adjusting the tension. Cheers Woody !!!
@mountaintopoutdoors
@mountaintopoutdoors 8 месяцев назад
Thank you. Yes we have to keep a eye on that and constantly adjusting the nut. I agree it’s a pain in the butt
@WoodysRTBFirewood

@@mountaintopoutdoors perhaps it’s a good time to reach out to Hudson and have them provide us with a much more robust spring because your channel gives them a lot of free advertising.

You might be onto something there... I tried the slab wood but found it too time consuming.. Noone likes doing it but I sure like the paycheck!!!
@mountaintopoutdoors
@mountaintopoutdoors 8 месяцев назад
It is time consuming but I think for the winter months your inside were it’s warm so it’s not bad. Summer might be a issue but I think I have a solution for that. U will see in upcoming video

Could you make some sort of pocket/box at 16" so you could jam 4-5 pieces in to cut at once? Would speed it up a lot...
