My good deed of today was giving a new home to one of those little natives... watching these episode made me realise how much I needed one... thanks DCA and Thomas...
I've had my Begleiter (XL) for about a month and it's kicked all my other knives out of rotation for now.. it's a lovely fidgety knife with great ergonomics, excellent length to blade and handle without being overwhelming in the pocket, and the fit'n'finish is terrific. First Kizer and I will be considering others.
kizer is one of the best brands to get high end materials at a very reasonable price. the best example i can think of is that you can get MULTIPLE kizer knives in 3v and 4v steel for under $100. the bugai is $90 for 3v, there’s a version of the feist in 4v for literally $70, the critical and the klipper are both right at $100 for 3v. there’s not many other companies doing awesome steels like that for that cheap. i mean, 4v is basically cruwear with a smidge less toughness but a bit more edge retention. you’d NEVER see cruwear on a knife under $100
I hope you guys never take DCA away from the show... the antics and jokes and IN DEPTH detail he goes over makes this show. I love knives and the knife world but to be honest i watch this show for DCA and seth... I really like the other knife shows on the internet but these companys keep changing the people that host the show and they are never as good as the last.... Thanks for LOTS of continued DCA and seth and keeping things interesting ! Look forward to this web series every day it's uploaded and wanted to take the time to let you know we really appreciate everything that you guy's do! Thanks for all the great content!
This has been the best knife channel of 2022, besides metal complex. Both channels have been for me the most educational and good content channels. Keep up the good work, David C Anderson!
David. Can you try and showcase the closing actions of some of these folders? I know I am not the only one who cares about closing action and it’s a huge factor of my knife buying
Hey DCA! Just wanted to see if you were going to do an update video on your experience carrying the Leatherman FREE T4... and whether you like it as much (or even more) than your Victorinox EvoGrip S18. I bought both based on your videos so look forward to the update!
That Jack Wolf has a hollow grind, you can see it in the way light reflects off the blade. Props to them for sourcing a domestic version of the Fat Carbon, though I wonder, though, why they didn't go all the way and use either of the domestic-made M390 analogues, Crucible's 20CV, or 204P from the Carpenter folks.
Spyderco Salt series folding knives are great for light duty marine use. I like the Pacific Salt and the Dragonfly Salt. Sometimes need something capable of heavier duty. Bought the S.O.G Tellus FX for the same use as the Condor Aqualore.
35:13 i’m annoyed by the drop bear basically because of the raised pocket clip screws and because i cant find an aftermarket scales or pocket clip which address the issue.
The GiantMouse ACE Clyde Denim looks almost identical to the Kizer Justice in Denim Micarta (I own this Kizer). The Jack Wolf Venom Jack looks almost identical to my QSP Worker Folding Knife 3.25" with Bohler N690 with a Blue/ Black G10/Carbon Fiber Handle that I purchased for $66.
Man, you guys always get me with your Spyderco exclusives. I wasn’t planning on getting another smaller Spyderco anytime soon, but after seeing that Lil Native in CruWear I’ve changed my mind lol. Keep on making this great content and getting those awesome dealer exclusives.
Love your channel and watch these videos whenever they pop up in my feed. I have noticed a lack of mirror finished blades. Are there any out their? Many thanks.
Hey DCA. I was hoping you might fill me in on the types of steel used in microtech's otf knives. I haven't seen it listed on the website and they seem to be intentionally noncommittal on materials used. I have always wanted a Microtech but am reluctant to commit when I don't know what I am buying. Thank you
Is there anything wrong with having the sport XERO series as my kitchen knives? I currently use a condor hivernant with a polished blade and an Ontario agilite pairing knife.
Here's a little message for Jack those knives would really fly out the shelf if it had a lock on it just a little food for thought, a little something to marinate on
DCA. I just received my carbon handle S35VN Drop Bear (Kizer). The lock action is buttery smooth. I have other axis locks in the same price point that are not as smooth. Can u explain this type of lock and why others in the same price point are not as smooth. Thanks Dr. H
Man I already bought a raptor from somewhere else I wish I would have known about knife center having the version with the holes because that's the version I've always wanted damn it
Man that aqualore looks great. I live in PNW so I won't use carbon steel often so I might have to pull the trigger on that. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the canyon carver in 14C28N
I like the Finch designs and would like them much better if the knives were made in the U.S. Wow - you weren't kidding. There were a lot of new Kizer models.
FAQ: Ahoy David, Seth and Thomas :) Thanks a lot for your work, love this channel. 300k subs so CONGRATS !!! I just wish to see more and more little edc or pocket fixed blades here... Oh please :) I have a question: (My hands are slightly smaller then average) What little fixed blade would you recommend for edc? I love simple designes. It needs to be tough and stainless. Nowadays i edc only my beloved Victorinox. For hiking i use Esee Xancudo. Beautiful and really one of the most comfortible knife for me. But very underrated i dont know why. Thanks again and keep up the good work :) Greetings from Slovakia, Central Europe.
Dagnabbit, David. I was delaying buying a Cruwear Lil Native because I figured they'd stay in stock for quite a while. And then you drop this video with the knife featured prominently, guaranteeing it'll be out of stock immediately. So guess who has two thumbs and just bought a Cruwear Lil Native?
Did anyone ever prefer the walk of a knife to that of its talk? Or vice Vera’s? As to say: “yeah I dig the walk of that knife, but man I’m not sold on the talk”
KC page says the new/featured Finch Chernobyl Ant is "currently unavailable." Estimated date? PS: Kizer has been putting out great stuff for as long as I can remember. Good to see that maybe they're getting some credit now for being more than just a "best kept secret" sleeper class.
This is now the favorite time of my life lol. Keep 'em coming. I love that protech but my state doesn't allow it to be mailed across states so I'll have to go and visit you guys to pick it up. Any recommendations on how I do that without my wife noticing lol?
Question.... I'm getting married Christmas day and would love to get my groomsmen a gift. I however do have to cover some issues my guys are against slip joints and do not understand the walk and talk. I will be showing this to the guys so please convert them. This is your challenge DCA. If your willing to accept it by the way this message will self destruct when you answer it. Cheers guys keep up the amazing work...
Whatever promotes buoyancy for your vessel. The knife has certainly emerged. Thus covering sub surface, surface, or terrain appearances. The NASA Aquarius observatory was far removed from water or land, as it was within a satellite, yet possessed the water bearer's name. Perhaps "launched" is a more pertinent verb to describe this new model.
I really like DCA, but I would like if he was consistent in describing the specs of the knives. Sometimes he fails to give blade length or steel type etc. And I say this with no malice, but as constructive criticism. Love you DCA.
