New viewer here; Earlier this week I was looking to get a knife to use while at ROTC, my duties for the Army National Guard, and various outdoor activities. I watched a number of your videos covering affordable knives (college is expensive), and finally settled on the CIVIVI Praxis. I just wanted to say thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge with these fantastic tools, as well as providing guidance for knuckleheads like me when it comes to wise knife choices! (The Praxis arrives tomorrow and I'm more excited than the day before Christmas)

Hey man have fun with your new knife! If you're ever looking for just a cutting tool at a budget, the mora companion and glock field knife are great choices. The mora being a slightly better tool and the glock knife probably being generally tougher. But I would guess you get some kind of fixed blade issued to you. Cold steel makes some really decent folders with great toughness and price too. Good luck in school and training! Edit:looked at the steel of your knife probably needs sharpening from time to time but should be easy enough. Hit me up when you need info on how to

I'm with you on the lanyard tube filler. Adds a little pop of color and I NEVER use the lanyard hole. EVER

They brought back some 20.5’s from blade show. All gone. I’m lucky. I got one. I live 10 minutes away. I just walked in 2 weeks ago and asked and they happened to have a handful left. They will be getting another shipment.

After you told us about REC I was looking for a JRE strop bat (works great btw) and Knife Center was sold out. I was able to get it from REC. I've also been talking with their custom shop about some mods. 👍

Just FYI the beard gets better once you get it grown out a little and a good beard oil or butter will absolutely help the itching. Especially a CBD beard oil really helps for sensitive skin people. Some people like growing it out definitely not for everyone though, going on 2 years without a trim couldn’t imagine not having it now.
