Hi Ramon, you have awesome videos, thank you for sharing your knowledge 🥰 Would you have any book recommendations? I’m a LE & would love to learn more/study ❤ I would really appreciate it!
i'm just finishing up my yam root toner from isntree and i loved it!! it's the perfect lightweight miky toner for oily skin, that's still very nourishing!! the yam mucin is a nice alternative to snail mucin... way less sticky and stretchy, but still has that hydrating effect! can't wait to hear your review on the yam root line
I am OBSESSED with the Isntree yam root line!! I’m currently on accutane and the milk cleanser is one of the only cleansers I want to use anymore, it leaves me feeling clean but hydrated. I love all three of the products!💜
I’m still very keen on trying the yam root line from Isntree. Especially, the cleanser! Furthermore, I’ve tried and finished the Skin 1004 sunscreen and I like it! Probably the most lightweight out of the Kolmar sunscreens with that same base. A better ‘dupe’ (I hate the word dupe, to be honest, haha) for the SK2 is the IOPE Bio Conditioning Essence. Far better than the Missha or Secret Key, in my personal opinion✨💅🏽.

This video was filmed a while ago, having used the yam root cleanser, I actually really enjoy it! I’ll need to check that iope Essence out. I don’t think I’ve really used any iope products before now that I think about it
The Isntree Yam Root Cleanser is really enjoyable, but if you haven't tried it, their LHA Jelly Cleansing Oil is also a new fave. I can do without their "clean" marketing, but I can't argue with the products.
New to your channel and LOVE IT! Been binging all day! I absolutely adore the Jin Jung Sung Essence! My skin just drinks it right up and is Very Plumping to my skin! I never see anyone reviewing it and it's crazy good! I love your vibe! Thanks for the great info! Enjoy that Essence!
I have the Jin Jung Sung essence and I enjoy using this product so much. It may seem like a thick liquid at first but it absorbs really quickly. 😊 Great for night time use.
I used a whole bottle of the Isntree Yam Root Toner over the winter (dry, atopic skin + wintery winter = lipids yes please). When it was 50 off at YesStyle a while back I bought two back ups. So I suppose it's already a staple for me. Other than that I always have something from BoJ: the rice sunscreen, gingeng essence or glow deep serum, currently all three. I also keep going back to the Gentle Black Deep Cleansing Oil by Klairs, it's so fast at dissolving waterproof make up and my dry skin enjoyes the thickness of it.

I still need to use the toner and cream, but the yam root cleanser is fantastic! What sunscreens do you personally enjoy with your dry skin?
@ Avène Sun Mineral Lotion SPF 50+ is the sunscreen my skin enjoys the most. I always have a bottle of that for when my skin is acting up and particularly dry or when conditions are challenging such as super cold (can get to -20°C where I live). Unfortunately it has a horrible white cast and requires a bit of make up on top even for my very white complexion. That's why it's not my everyday sunscreen. The above mentioned BoJ is my favourite but I also like the COSRX aloe sunscreen, I just wish they'd have an unscented version. All of Ultrasun's face sunscreens I've tried have been wonderful, they're just a bit expensive to be real go-to for me.
For me, it will be the Laneige Cream Skin and their Water Bank Cream. They recently launched an upgraded version of the Cream Skin called Cream Skin Cerapeptide and I love that even more. It is much more lightweight, (less emollient) but it is more hydrating which makes it easier for me to layer it in my routine.
My A-beauty haul consists of a repurchase of the isntree green tea toner, I'm safe for sensitive skin sunscreen and a new purchase of I'm Pure Cica Sunscreen and Etude House Soonjung ph 5.5 Relief toner which seems like a nice hydrating toner.
Absolutely dont be ashamed!!! i have been around the whole block with essences and SK-II still the best. its my only splurge item in my skincare arsenal. Missha TR 3rd Gen was my fav on par with SK-II but Missha ruined it since then. Their current 5th Gen broke me out so bad!! Anyway SK-II is simple effective and they really dont have to keep brining out new versions to compete.

I’m only ashamed when I see the bank balance 😔 but the way my skin looks always makes up for it
Really interested in that blackberry essence. I'm also peeping their blackberry cream which looks equally as beautiful. Looking forward to an update on the essence!
I love your intro the third one you can make a random one every vid like "cosmetic chemist, esthetician, ramen connoisseur" or something like that lol!
Okay glad to see someone about eyenlip!! They are STUPID cheap!! I’m light/medium skin tone so no white cast with the cica calming cream for me, LOVE it !
Hi Ramon! Love your videos. I stumbled upon a question I saw on the internet once and I am curious to find out what the correct answer is and seeing as how you're a chemist, I feel you could be the best person to answer this: "Does the percentage of the active ingredients matter, or is it only important to look at the SPF number? For example, if one sunscreen has Zinc Oxide (10.0%), Titanium Dioxide (7.5%) as the active ingredients, and another one has Titanium Dioxide 4%, Zinc Oxide 4%, but they both say SPF 50, are they both equally effective, or is the higher percentage better?" What are your thoughts around sunscreens claiming to be SPF 50 broad spectrum but has different percentages for active ingredients? It would be great if you could shed some light on this. Thanks!
New sub here - Just wanna say we have a similar skin type and I am so glad I found this channel. I am allergic to most sunscreens, and I don’t know what ingredient triggers me. :( What works for me now is the Bioré Aqua Essence. I am allergic to Beach Hut, Neutrogena, Aveeno, Nivea. 😅
