Mighty DOOM update 1.2 brought some changes and a HUGE nerf to Flame Belch - I'll explain why I think it should or shouldn't happen. PLUS a potential new level? What else changed?

Aw come on. The Flame Belch nerf is completely unnecessary. Every other launcher pales in comparison to it. I know Acid Spit is alright, but Flame Belch was KING. It absolutely helps you progress a lot faster, especially when you’re struggling. I’m gonna feel bad for newer players now, knowing it’s not gonna be useful anymore.☹️

Just figured this out. It's not just a flame belch nerf, it's a fire damage nerf overall. Now it's kinda worthless to upgrade SSG and combat shotgun with fire upgrade.

Hey Allstin, thanks for mentioning the Mars Core thing! Also I didn't know the flame was nerfed! I think I'm still gonna use it regardless, because of the inferno. Since I often get swarmed, which is caused by a bug in UAC where I get a double wave spawn and if not for inferno I'd be dead more times than I can remember

I can only hope that the sound turning back on when connecting/disconnecting from Bluetooth is fixed. I get in and out of a car often at work, and it's really annoying to have to turn all 3 bars back off even though they're already set to 0.

Minor complaint, but I wish the boss Gargoyle's spit sound cue had a bit earlier timing. The green projectile against green slime on the floor is hard to see, and it's often too late to dodge when i hear it.

Beat LvL 10 today without any single purple items. Just blue and green. Chaingun+Gaus+Flame Belch. And honestly, F this game. It's really a waste of time and the only thing they do is keep on nerfing things that work. Such a dumb way of "saving" a dying game 😅 Designed to be a pure P2P garbage. No satisfaction even when you beat it as a F2P player whatsoever

I’ve been using Acid it’s great. It shoots multiple acid drops and if an enemy it’s targeting dies it will retarget. doesn’t go over walls, but Acid has 3 different stages of debuffing. I don’t know what the numbers are tho unfortunately.

I’ve been having some fine luck lately, one guy said he got 7 double drops in a day at HOE which is a ton Others say maybe not Just depends. The best way is to track it over a large sample size. Not 5, 10, runs but more. Items per run. So if you get a double it’s 2. You can note that it was a double run too

While I often rotate equipment cause I tend to have related dailies, I'd usually default to flame as I have more control over who I attack, unlike acid where it targets on a zombie despite a Pinky or Caco being right in my face. I'll probably stick with Belch for the above reasoning and I don't really care about optimizing builds, not trying to be an Esports pro or anything. Imagine if this game turned competitive lol.

I wonder if there would be a Sentinel skin for the doom slayer. I like the armor they wear and a nice way to wear it would be good.

I hope they buff flame belch again, I really wanted to have that launcher on epic rarity That really deserved high damage, because you had to get very close to the enemies

I honestly don't and havent used flame belch all that much, I prefer acid and frag, that's just me. I will say that I recently found my happy place with the combat shotgun with chainsaw combo. If I luck up I get frenzy and agile. It's the most fun I have while making runs!!!

I just win the last map whit the help of the flame bench plus flamebounce and a purple rocker launcher and now not even kill an ice imp its useless now im not gonna pass the next map i guess lmao

I've felt that the Meat Hook makes Multi Shot and Crescendo useless idk if I'm just crazy but to me it looks like I do less damage

Multishot itself makes each individual shot do less, but overall does more damage. A lot more for Gauss and rocket at least! 60-80% more after 1 and 2 upgrades

Stick it in the slot, that's what she said. I use Level 20 Acid Spit. And it suits me just fine. All the way to Hell On Earth. I would upgrade it, but have just the Common. Bought the Samurai, but haven't used him much. Thanks for the news, Allstin, I now know what to expect.

I had to say it! Lol No prob! Acid’s debuff is pretty chill (chill? Ice!) Samurai is cool if you like glory kills. Pair him up with an Exultian chestplate for extra stagger bonus, and get perks like Stagger (or that weapon’s specific one, ideally more staggers, and also First Impressions - the more enemies alive, the higher the stagger rate. He also has solid all-slayer bonuses). I like to get a slayer and send him to max, to benefit. Then work on another. Rather than 2 at a time. Which other slayer you using? Hailfire would be Mini. Mini has lowest base stats it seems Was curious to see how you were doing!!

@@Allstin Currently, I'm using Gold Slayer, he's at 61 right now. My base Mini Slayer is at 42, and Samurai is at 9. Haven't bought Crimson or unlocked the two Slayers you can unlock when you have enough points (or whatever is required), and don't have the Classic Slayer either. I have Level 59 Chaingun (I actually randomly found an Epic Chaingun, what a score, my only purple item so far), Level 40 Gauss, Level 40 BFG, Level 20 Acid Spit, Level 50 UAC Helmet, Level 40 UAC Gauntlets, Level 40 Demonic Chestplate, and Level 47 Demonic Boots.

Very nice! Ya depending on the rarities you can prioritize different stuff. Especially if it’s more rare. I used to run 80 epic boots and 1 rare chest - since the epic scaled so high! I tend to focus up one slayer to max to get its full benefits then work on the rest. Right now classic and gold are meta, can’t go wrong with either. Samurai is cool too for glory kills (which, GKs give you twice the % ultimate charge as a regular kill. So they’re good to do!) each enemy is a different ultimate charge/GK percent. Pinkies are some of the highest. But yeah that chaingun, I’d focus it up. The way epics and rares scale (once you get into the higher levels, past 40 and stuff) you get SO MUCH value for the coins. It’s CRIMINAL how many points you get per level in the 70s and going to 80 with epic!! So much value! Though I prefer heavy cannon for farming (easier for mass room overkill insanity), chaingun is solid enough for single targets. Especially with steadfast upgrade for better accuracy. That chaingun if you can level it to max, or 70s, will rip tear and shred whatever you ask of it. Sweetnesses and all!!

No prob! It looks like they did nerf the amount of ultimate charge you get from GKing a pinky, wonder what else changed. Other stuff seems fine But yea classic is nice with his ability but not a requirement. His all slayer perks aren’t damage, but 1% damage resist and 1% movement speed which is alright. If you want him it’s ok to grab, does help to tank bosses, but totally up to you since you have others. Chaingun 80 will help wreck for sure!!

I think both the arc and acid are now meta grenade launchers. There both the same, can be used the same but are different and suit some players better. The arc allows you to stay alive longer because of the lower damage while you kill faster with the acid and the defence reduction. If you know how to survive, acid is way better. Id youre decent at the game, then arc is probably better. Btw, i am still grinding for Hailfird and the Zombie. Im about 3/4 of the way done for the zombie and just 1/4 of the hailfire. Whats a good chapter to grind for the Hailfire? Since you dont always get tokens at the end of a run (and i mean a full run from start to last wave boss kill)

The tokens will come! Then the bonus argent once you get the new slayers! Ultimately acid does help you kill them faster. Especially bullet sponges. Or easy enemies to top off. But arc being around 30% is pretty solid pick for survival. Just depends. Faster killed enemies is good to stay alive, but arc will make you tankier. Both are solid plays in this meta

I beat this game ten times over. Bethesda is really lagging with any quality, fresh content for this game. It’s definitely fun though- albeit blatantly cheap at times. Some observations so far: 1) Get the hailfire Slayer definitely the best slayer IMO. 2) Use the chaingun, and use the BFG, frag grenade, and the crossbow thing for weapons, maxing them out (and pray for some fuse opportunities too).

The thing is it is ONLY SINGLE PLAYER, no MP at all… so nerfing weapons, gadgets etc is really lame. Regardless of the fact if you are using one particular thing.

ok, i actually didn't realize that the flame belch was doing so much damage because i was playing with ice or poison all the time... I really like the way the screen wobbles and vibrates briefly when a barrel explodes. This also makes glory kills feel really good ☺
