This is the first film and I cannot believe how much i enjoyed it and defintely will be reacting to the other movies in the franchise at some point because I now understand why it's so popular. You don't need to feel too bad for slytherin they had been on a winning streak before this year. That's why the other houses were celebrating too.

A little trivia about the four houses, not only is each house representative of the four elements, Gryffindor is fire, Hufflepuff is earth, Ravenclaw is air and Slytherin is water, but each house also has characteristics they value which is why you are sorted into a house based on the trait you best exudes.

So, to explain the Houses to you, the Sorting Hat places you based on your qualities and values. Hufflepuff is the house that values loyalty and hard work, Ravenclaw values knowledge and intelligence, Slytherin, ambition and cunning, which are not bad traits inherently, but are the ones that can be twisted into darker tendencies most often, as many Dark Lords ascend to that out of personal ambition. Gryffindor values chivalry and courage.

Nice reaction. I’m looking forward to watching the series with you. Yes, it is that amazing. The first two movies are very much for children and building the world of Harry Potter, but things get more mature & darker as the characters grow up.

There weren't three tables of Gryffindors - there were four houses named off, so one table for each house. All the other houses cheered when Slytherin lost.

Nice catch! Not many seem to realize that when Ron went down in the Chess match, that a piece of debris actually hits Ron. He did such a good job of staying in character even though I am sure that hurt hitting him!
