Nice catch! Not many seem to realize that when Ron went down in the Chess match, that a piece of debris actually hits Ron. He did such a good job of staying in character even though I am sure that hurt hitting him!
I know you watched this so long ago, and you probably won't see this comment! But just wanted to say thanks for your reaction--very enjoyable! And just in case you are curious and if no one else mentioned (I only went through the top 20 or so of your comments so apologies if someone else said this!), one thing that doesn't get mentioned often and that is really significant in the books is that, before the games start, Haymitch chooses to try to save Katniss over Peeta AND that Peeta has also chosen that. Looking at everything Peeta does, including the interviews, etc. through that lens is interesting. It's why Peeta never gets parachutes from sponsers, etc. Haymitch is using every strategy/resource to save Katniss, because he can only save one and simply CAN'T waste resources on more than one person. The other thing they don't talk much about is that the cost of sponsor presents is CRAZY. Unless you are very rich, you can't really send anything meaningful to save someone you love. So sponsorships are just a game of the capital, really based on popularity. And then as the game goes on, the cost of items increases even more. In the book, as others have mentioned, Rue's entire district pools their money to send her a roll of bread. But she dies before they can gather enough, so they send to Katniss in thanks. They are sending the bread, initially because, in the book, though Rue is "hard to catch", she is nearly starving. Most of the tributes are. Katniss' ability to feed herself and her independence is actually what makes her strong. Even the 'career' tributes are counting on supplies from the cornucopia, because they are trained to kill and dominate, but not to sustain themselves and they are too arrogant to think they'll need to hunt... until Katniss blows up the food. When that happens, it really unravels the careers games. When the 'feast' happens in the book, the remaining tributes bags have either food or something to keep them warm. They are all in basic survival because of Katniss. In any case, book nerd here. Again, really enjoyed your reaction!
The pin being cursed is a long-standing fan theory. The original owner was Heymitch's district partner, Maisilee who was also Katniss's mum's best friend. After her death, it was returned to her family where it was eventually handed down to her niece who is Kaniss's friend, in the book she gives Katniss the pin who as you see in the movie gives it to Prim whose name is called in the reaping.

I don’t know if anyone answered or told you this, about when was Lestat made into a vampire. It was I think 1781 or smth like some 8 years before the French Revolution (I always remember dates better near big events). Here I guess it’s the same. But in the books he’s been a vampire for only 10 years when he met Louis. (Cuz the story was set in 1790s and forward.) So it’s rather funny when you read and you have the feeling that he is ancient and he’s just a baby. On top of that he’s like 6 years older than Louis and it’s like they’re like peers. 🤣 But ofc you can’t ignore his experience. What he said about Magnus is true and oh my god yeah… He does have a shit ton of experience with everyone and everything in this area. Also, here, in the series, being 200 y.o against some 30yo dude, like he tells them over and over again about the viciousness. But because he does it this way, they don’t want to believe him. Ohh how they’ll regret it!
Cheep effects are part of the fun of it and it kinda goes back to the early days of the classic DW from the 60s and 70.. they had a limited budget back then and it’s become kind of a joke. Still it’s just part of the campiness. The effects have gotten crazy good since 2005 though
Actually and aspect it almost never gets spread up in the movies is the fact that the peacekeepers come for very special messed up place. Basically you have all those kids were going to the fighting academys in districts one and two well they only take two tributes per year to be 100 games so obviously about 98% of those kids are not going to be in the hunger games, so then all those kids you have literally about a decade and have a fighting and killing experience and it already ended soldiers they're the ones that get trained to become the peacekeepers. So that means they're already and going to be sympathetic if not adoring straight up to the capital they already have a great distain for the outer districts especially where katniss is and while a capitalism would never consider them to be the same level they absolutely consider themselves to be above the other districts scum.... So they have incredible training, incredible discipline, natural bigoted ideas and they absolutely adore any and all of the propaganda at the Capitol puts out. Also in the book seats made clear that where the things the capital did to insured people watched the games and participated in watching them was installing TV screens in every home some of these even have sensors so they're able to tell if the family were the residents are actually sitting in the room with the TV your volume can't be adjusted there is no avoiding the hunger games like gale suggests. Although even if the district's did somehow manage to boycott watching them it wouldn't matter because the economy is getting its boost from The hunger games Vaya Capital citizens they're the ones that are betting on it watching it buying the fashions, going to museums appreciating it's cultural history and even dealing over objects that what previous games especially weapons that were used to kill various tributes. But trying to break out the games with the about as effective as all mormon he ordered by their leaders to boycott Las Vegas and gambling.... They weren't doing it anyway and Las Vegas will be just fine, The capital would be the same. The Capital City center okay with all this happening because they genuinely district census is so far removed from their population. Well they'll acknowledge that their human evolutionarily and in terms of civility they practically look at them as another species entirely. They believe they're aggressive unintelligent, cruel, hypno real capability for empathy in love especially with his family unit as they're willing to allow their children to participate in The hunger games... As if they had a choice. They look at district citizens this evening at sleepovers would have with him and dingo fighters during the civil war. Or similarly even now for those out there who think this could never happen present-day, this behavior is the exact same as a breeder when witnessing his dogs fighting dying in a dogfighting ring. They're alive baby feel things but it's no great loss if they should die and in this are providing entertainment but also strengthening the capital Infinity The herd in terms of potentially dangerous district citizens. That's incidentally was none of them have guns in wickedness has to hide your bow and arrow no citizen is allowed to possess anything that could be used as a weapon unless it's necessary for their tree like axes for the lumber district. I don't think it's a spoiler since this videos almost a year old, but the reason that there so few animals is more than likely due to the environment being severely damaged by the fire fighting going on between district 13 and a few other revolutionarily p districts and the capital during the first rebellion. They don't want them going out into the woods to try to get food weather vegetable or animal because that could create a community that has a good deal of self-reliance. And to be able to control him fully they can't allow any sense of Independence to Foster in that even if it Independence is strictly having your own garden.
I know you watch this months ago, so you can't change it now, but this is what I would have said .... I really enjoy your reaction but maybe the choice to talk as much as you do is keeping you from paying close attention to what's going on. Because omg , how can you get so much wrong? Lol. Go back and watch the part when he was in the wand store and listen to what olivander says. Go back and watch the end of movie one when Voldemort reveals himself and listen to what he says. Go back and watch the part where Tom Riddle spells out his name. He literally says I AM LORD VOLDEMORT. I don't know how you could miss any of that 😮. That being said, I can't wait to see you watch the next one lol!😂

My personal theory is that Lestat never *told* Paul to do it. But he did mess with his head, and Paul knew Louis wasn't exactly straight and thought it was a sin to be otherwise. And when Lestat told Paul that he was there for his brother, that might have been what pushed him over the edge.

So that home from the mermaids had an extra line that was cut out of the movies. That is why Harry thought that he had to rescue everyone or they die After that the prospects black too late. It's gone it won't come back So he was under the impression if they're treasures weren't rescued within the hour they would be left to die
Dumbledore was taking the lights from the street lamps because you know there was a bunch of suspicious people on the street. He didn't want the neighbors to see. You know the lady who can turn into a cat and him and the guy on the flying motorcycle. He didn't want them to be seen by muggles who might be awake when they're out there and happen to catch a glimpse of them. He was trying to have the street as poorly lit as possible. Because of that he invented that item called the deluminator by the way and yes it will show back up
Also, the twins had a bet going with somebody who was cut out of the movie. I can't think of his name right now but basically they put up all their savings that the Irish would still win even though crum would get the snitch because he would get it too slow cuz his team would be down more points than it would be worth so they had no money. So at the end of winning the TriWizard tournament. But Harry tried to give the money to Cedric's family who said no then he gave it to the twins because he's tried to help the weasleys out before and their parents said absolutely not. They're not using him for his money. They're not going to ask him for anything and he's like you're not asking but they wouldn't take it so the twins were like. Yeah we'll take it. So that's why in the next movie they don't charge him for anything at their shop because Harry gave them the money to make the shop
So Dobby and a new house elf a female named winky were cut out of the movie. They were in the books winky worked for Bartey crouch she was supposed to be watching over Junior and he got away from her. He's the one who set the dark mark there was this whole storyline with her being fired because of that. And Dobby getting her a job in the Hogwarts kitchens but she felt so depressed about being fired that she was just getting drunk in the corner and the others just like threw a towel over her so they wouldn't have to look at her and Hermione had this whole storyline that was cut where she was on a mission to free all the house elves so she started knitting clothes and hiding them around trash piles and hogwarts. So all the elves except Dobby were offended by the fact that somebody was trying to free them when they didn't want to be freeed. So Dobby was the only one who would clean anymore. They would just stick to the kitchens and cook. Her little thing she put together to try to freeze them was called spew society for the protection of elfish welfare
You find out in one of the later books that hagrid is in fact mixed. He's one of the few characters in the series that is a hybrid of a human and a magical creature. He is part giant. Yes his mother was a giant. His father was actually a very small human man. He actually says at some point in the 4th movie that he could pick him up with two fingers at the age of six and put them up on the dresser and he died when hagrid was 13. Hence the reason he basically lived at the school because his mother was never with him. She basically stayed with the Giants and his father raised him alone and then his father died when he was 13. Professor flitwick, the itty bitty guy, I believe one of his grandparents was an elf or something like that. I know that Fleur de la core it's never mentioned in the movies, but in the books they say that she is part Veela which is a magical creature that normally looks like a beautiful young woman with silvery blonde hair. But when angered they grow bird like beaks and talons and can throw fireballs so they are not to be f***** with. They were the mascots of one of the quidditch teams at the world cup and Fleur says one of her grandmother's hairs is in her wand as the magical core and the one bakers like oh, I would never use a Villa hair there far too temperamental and the other guy for the tournament. He's got a quart of his wand that dude doesn't use either. He only uses Phoenix feathers, unicorn hairs or dragon heart strings. But there are some other cores that are used by one makers and other countries that Olivander doesn't f*** with
Yeah that hoe aunt Marge is not Harry's aunt. If you pay attention she is Vernon's sister meaning she's only related to Harry through marriage and she's actually his cousin's Aunt hence she treats him like a f****** house elf
This one is phenomenal because it introduces to characters that everybody loves! Fun fact it does not directly tell you in the movie, but it's kind of implied that Harry's father James was prongs, Sirius was padfoot, lupin was Moony and that little s*** Peter was wormtail because of their in omega's forms with the exception of lupin because he's just a werewolf
Some of that stuff with draco's dad was stuff he made up. It wasn't in the books like saying Harry Potter will always be around to save the day. Yeah he made that up and Harry's response was made up to and then him kicking the elf. That was also his idea to make Dobby a little more sympathetic back when everyone thought he was just an annoyance
Yeah some ones are way fancier than others. Some look like just a sticky picked up out side Hermione's has some beautiful swirly design on there like vines and dumbledore's. Just looks like straight up anal beads
