Well, this video has been a year in the making, quite literally. I always intended to preorder this model but I ended up ordering accidentally from MrMuffins the day the Lionel 2020 Volume 2 catalog was released, and man am I thankful I ordered it. This is my first modern Legacy steamer with Bluetooth and whistle steam and it just blew me away (pun intended). I will definitely be looking more seriously at Lionel Legacy steamers with this feature going forward, and it seems like it is now a standard feature in Legacy steam locomotives/

Great looking engine. However, I do fault Lionel for omitting the swinging bell.

Not to point out a minor discrepancy but the configuration you have and that was created more resembles a F-12e. I know that Lionel SAYS it’s an F-12a but the a’s actually had a unique looking set of pistons that were slanted inward toward the boiler. Still a fantastic looking model and I wish more NYC was available in HO scale (despite me owning an F-12e in brass) having them in readily available RTR models would be great

That’s a beautiful locomotive. I have the Southern one myself and it’s amazing. The whistle steam on these models is fantastic.

I have the Southern 4-6-0 which is very nice however the green color is about 2 shades too light. The green should be darker like a hunter green

Very nice locomotive! Those darkened side rods are a great touch - Lionel hasn’t always done that.

Biggest complaint on these is "No reverse light or markers" But other than that, I think they're nice. Passing on them. Looking forward to the Mr Muffin's run of the PRR Camelback I ordered!
