I remember when the Builder Base was first introduced as a “way” for players to pass time while they wait to attack/upgrade in the Town Hall (Back then it was a lot harder to upgrade through the early Town Halls. Especially the walls ☠️ ). Overtime, since progressing through the Town Halls became a lot easier, there wasn’t much benefit to play the Builder Base (unless for the Gem Mine or the 6th builder). I’m very excited for this change. Can’t wait for it
Agreed been playing over 8 years now and think that it was way harder before. But I really enjoy the updates, got me to open another account. And try n find a few old ones lost to the system.
@@ANUJSHARMA-nj2rj Then you would just loose a ton of trophies, reducing the loot you can get from defending. Also it would be a pain to collect gold again
@@advaitlad1123 Man the versus system was way better than this cause we get same builder halls but now this is bullshit cuz the elixir grind will be very hard as normally we can get 2k elixir only even if we defend by smaller margin and a big margin defeat like 0 star is just impossible😂
something i will never understand about builder base is why everything is so much more expensive to upgrade and everything takes a ridiculous amount of time to upgrade, in a game that was designed for you to pass time while waiting for you main base to upgrade
I really like this system Heavily encourages strong defense, which is something I think can get kinda lost in the home village aside from the top, top leagues, while still encouraging strong offenses we know and love
First of all thank you Judo for these amazing explanations. I came back to coc from a 2 year break and your channel helped me learn the ropes again. Also this update is one a of a kind and very unique. The attacking and defending and loot system is something I've never seen in any othet game.
@@Poloposi rather than saying "he's lucky".. he worked hard to become a supercell creator/partner, and its mostly his skills, it took him years to get here! So.. its only fair that he gets sneak peaks early, but one day, you can get there too! You Just have to try hard enough, rather than saying its "unfair"
The thing I hated the most in the builder base was having to wait for enemies to finish if they are the kind that takes the full 3 minutes to attack. Glad that they removed that

@@JudoSloth If you are unsure of how much ingenious COC players can get I am sure you might see in the very first day of the BB2.0 update that Klaus is wrecking max BH10s with super low level army.
@@tommyraven06g67 i mean it will help rushers become not rushed. Rushed bases will get more builder gold which can in turn be used to upgrade defenses to make the base less rushed
I find the new defense and builder elixir cart mechanic a bit strange, but a welcome one since it rewards even if you lost your defense! And obviously the whole spamming attacks now and not losing loot still is absolutely fantastic. Im genuinely encouraged to play the builder hall and max it out with this!
@@DaDubbaC they aren't called gold stars tho. No one says I got 2 gold stars in an attack. I think they were just future proofing. This way they have space to make a 4 base too for idk platinum stars or sth
@@saudmir24 They'll have to do it eventually. They want the builder bases to be small since you have less troops, which is why they split it into two. But once we start reaching BH14, 15, 16, there'll be too many buildings that they won't be able to keep them small anymore Also if you've seen the sneak peeks for the second stage, there's a very suspicious pathway that leads outside...

Thanks for these sneak peak video's Judo! You explain these new things very good! I have 1 question: if you have 5000 trophies will you get automaticly in the emerald 3 league? Or do u need to attack first? (When a new season starts your league will disappear)
Ok some of my questions were finally answered. My other question though is what will happen to our current trophies in the builder base. Will these be converted into these new leagues here or will we start from 0?
You will keep your current trophies and be put in a league based on your current trophies , they made it clear they wont take away any progression . Though I cannot comment on whether they will have season resets or not but they probably will. But in any case No way will they reset anyone to 0 trophies
Wait, if there's no limit to how many attacks you can make in one day, does that mean the best way to get to the top of the builder base leaderboard is to play 24/7? I feel like it would make sense for some sort of attacking limit to be introduced at a very high trophy level, similar to the legends league in the home village.
Wow, this update really has lived to the name 'redesign' Now that the update is here i'm glad Supercell didn't just extend the builder hall level like the main base, as cool as that would have been it wouldn't have been quite as fresh and it would just be the main base just with a different flavour, I'm Loving the new scenery for the builder base really expanding into the 'it's like the main base but in an alternate universe" so cool

I told my friend what is new that coming for the game. One of thing I said (it is like a copter) but turns out its really named copter. And love you judos
I think the version of the stars you get each level (Bronze for the 1st and Silver for the 2nd) suggests Supercell may have intentions to introduce a third stage in the near to distant future where you earn 3 Gold stars. Seems promising.
The main problem with current builder base was , not having enough loot to upgarde things and gaining loot was so boring and hard ...but now loot is actually infinite like we do in home Village 😀now i will play builder base too
That's impossible. You must have counted 1 defense (the one you mentioned that 140%'d you) and forgot that your last attack's defense was still ongoing, making that 2 defenses while you were doing your second attack
this is great! happy to see builder base getting the love it needed and kudos to the dev team for making good changes and brilliantly fixing builder base's main problems. also, thank you Judo for bringing us this great vid
What some may not know is that you are limited to placement of buildings and the master builder is back to the builder base. But you gained the new 6th builder called Bob for your th. Also you have the option to keep the base design they give you or build a new base of your chosen. As for loot, it is as Judo says. Good job explaining it Judo.👍👍
Love the channel, creator supporter and clan leader here. Hate those big changes in game though. Specially in something that is supposed to be a secondary activity inside the main game. One more job-like-dedication involvement in game in order to advance...
What about our current trophies? Will they just disappear and we have to start with 0 Or they will remain as they are and we would just gain the league associate with our current trophies
I used to heavily trophy push max BH. Kept #1 in USA for several months before getting burned out. Definitely excited for this update! This alone will get me out of retirement and back to clash lmao
I LOVE the new attack/defense system it still incentivizes a good defensive base, while not making you wait and let all loot or no loot depend on your performance vs an enemy

Glad builder base is getting a change up. Other than the daily attack for the season pass or clan challenges, I rarely ever am in there since I’ve had it maxxed out for awhile now. Should bring a fresh change there hopefully
I think that this system is better however when the hype for update will be gone and less People will play matches elixir distribution can be a Little small considering that we have healing hut and 2nd hero
They totally destroyed the builder base. Its way harder now and they made the upgrade time 2x time more than it was and its way harder to get trophies.
I dont know if anybody noticed this but they spoiler the 3rd base in builder base as the first 2 bases give bronze and silver stars and in the future the 3rd base will give golden stars.
