Great video but my concern is for the staff who are working without the proper PPE, maybe the boss of Annamalai Trailers can replace them when needed, good workers who know what they’re doing are hard to come by, the boss needs to take care of them and stop skimping on the essentials such as proper gloves steel toe capped boots and decent welding masks at least.
The load carrying capacity and the flat-bed material do not match. The flat-bed material used is 10 times over rated. The truck bed cannot carry more weight than the bearing capacity of the tires. So basically this is a design based on No calculations. Just built because they wanted to build.
Good video but they should not remove the Flux while it is still hot whilst Submerged Arc Welding. This will make the molten metal porous. If you leave it, it peels off itself when it cools. Apart from that, a good finished product, well done👍👍
At least two reasons. The men who own these factories have no regard for the lives of their workers either on the job or away. For every worker there are countless others willing to take their place. Some workers own nothing but a filthy loin cloth. Most wear rubber clogs for foot wear, millions own no shoes. Safety equipment is ignored by the factory owners. Ship breaking accounts for thousands of deaths every year. If a worker becomes injured he loses his job. They make a few rupees a day, most have large families and live in squalor and on the verge of starvation. Both the government and the factory owners turn a blind eye to these helpless people

I probably would have did a little more reinforcement with boom connection from the flat part ( guest plates & bolts ) and that small kingpin connected to a single plate ? Giant mass for key parts ...

150 тонн он не выдержит, слишком мало колес, 16 колес с максимальной нагрузочной способностью в 6 тонн на каждое, это 96 тонн, на тягач 55 тонн это очень много, да ещё и вес самого прицепа минимум 25 тонн, а вероятно и под 35, то есть общий вес прицепа с грузом у него за 180 тонн будет, для такого веса нужно ещё дополнительные оси и минимум 16 шин, по всей его длинне
You gotta love these guys' skill and ingenuity, doing with what tools they have, to produce outstanding heavy duty equipment! However, them working heavy metal with no safety shoes on was painful to watch!

150 tons = 300,000 pounds. Standard semi in US is around 80,000 pounds loaded. Lowboys with extra wheel sets can get up to 130,000 pounds. That trailer cannot in any scenario carry 150 tons, maybe 40-50 tons max.
This is why they are always breaking shit and doing less than adequate repairs, exceeding the reasonable weights for any vehicle they use is a way of life to them , and safety means nothing because the value of life in their country is exceedingly low if someone is killed or maimed there are many others to take their place.
