Tysm for this video! I was unaware of an update, and I use a modded old 3ds. I don’t even bother with the system update thing. All I do is update Luma! I'm used to denying nintendo updates atp lol!
I’m still stuck at v12.1. I think it’s because I first updated my 3DS to the latest firmware (it’s since V11.17 is out I got forced) version before I tried to update luma. Now I can’t update luma but I need the latest version of luma for everything and I don’t know how to fix this 🤷♂️
I just modded a spare 3ds I had, keeping my hardware modded 3ds vanilla for a few reasons (my Nintendo account being on it for a start). I'm new to all this and just wanted to find out how to get back to the settings. Which you explained and then some so thanks for that!
My Luma3DS is having errors trying to install to the latest update. I've done the method that was provided in this video but my Luma3DS just seems to be stuck in v11.0. I tried many other methods to get my darn Luma3DS to get updated. I went to github into LumaTeam's latest update of their files etc. and imported them into my SD card but it's still stuck in version 11.0. If anyone has a way for me to get around this error, please help. :(

I think Nintendo no longer supports the 3DS family of systems as all internet connections to Nintendo are gone. So I doubt that there will be any more updates.
Hopefully Nintendo doesn’t do it! Superskaterhax is still there for new 3DS and new 2DS systems while MSET9 is still new for old 3DS and 2DS so hoping that doesn’t patch out like Sony was doing with the PS3 putting new updates.
Shit... I did it the old fashioned way by dragging the files to the SD and now my 3ds turns on but shows nothing on the screen. T.T any solution? I don't have the old files. The 3DS was on a 10 or so version.
Mine is still stuck on 12.0, even though I updated it trough the universal updater and manually and the universal updater saying I have the latest version, when I restart it it still says 12.0 and the new netpass still says it is 12.0 and that I need to update at least to 13.0. Can someone help me ?

I updated My Luma 11.17.0-50U to 13.1.2 it works fine the systems says my luma3ds is 13.1.2. but when I tried to connect it on WiFi. It won't let me update my system software? Please can you help me?
Because the 11.17.0-50U is the latest update that Nintendo did to the 3DS, I think it was from May 2023, so a year old, and they stopped the support for it Meanwhile Luma3ds latest version is 13.1.2 from June 22, that's currently available as I'm writing this In other words.. you're already Updated! ^•^
I have a question that's unrelated to the topic, but maybe you can help me here. In my Streetpass Mii Plaza on the 3DS, I have an issue where the DLC minigames keep disappearing. I've edited the internal save file of Streetpass Mii Plaza to unlock the DLCs, and of course, I've also downloaded the DLC content. However, despite this, these DLC minigames keep disappearing after a while and are only available again when I redownload them from the h-shop. Do you have any idea what I might be overlooking or doing wrong?
@@DeltaZinnia Any illegitimate DLCs that are not from the eShop still gets removed if you visit the eShop. It happened to my Smash Bros 3DS DLC because I visited the eShop and it removed my DLC maps so I have to go redownload from the green app. Just don’t visit the eShop if you don’t want any illegitimate DLCs removed. If you did purchase the DLC, it wouldn’t affect it.
@@Bambookeyy Nvm I found out it was my wifi router acting up. I restarted it and now it connected my 3ds without a problem. Try restarting your wifi router and see if it fixes your problem too!
Splash is like a welcome image you get to download on theme plaza, when put in a folder and enabled in luma. Once you turn on, it will splash the image. Kind of nice do the custom splashes. But I don't recommend it, when I do it my 3ds be ticking for a while xd
If it doesn’t have the green update icon update it. It happened to me as I have to close the universal updater app and relaunch it to get that green update icon.
@@napzon19 when i bought a 3ds to mod it was already modded (i didnt know this) so its a japan ds so i dont have luma i have luma locale switcher is there a diffrence cause it still does not show a update
Literally only just homebrewed my old model 3ds.yesterday, still not sure what people do it for or what its capable of doing i only did it because i was bored 😅. Time to.see.if i.need to update i guess
you can start downloading the boot.firm without the green arrow anyway, mine didn't show any green arrow and i still proceeded to download the boot.firm and it updated my luma just fine.
