I could not agree more with you about the Nars packaging. I hate it. I’m excited about the Dior in the baked gelee formula. The pink is my favorite, too. I’m also interested in hearing a review on the new Suqqu blushes. If it’s good, I’ll get one. I also like 2 of the Moisture Glaze lipsticks. I love the formula!

I bought the Koh Rong palette from Nars and I love it, been using it every day since i got it. I used to use their duo in Portobello waaay back in the day and this is a great upgrade. Every shade is usable.

I am so tempted by the Chanel pink duo, but the highlighter in a review looked like a Pat McGrath eyeshadow I have… One of my favorite blushes ever is the Chanel Fantasie. Your comments are so hilarious in a dry way, I seriously laughed out loud. 😂

Good to see some swatches 😊I actually have nail polish like the pink Chanel so no need. I got a trio from a brand Danny Leighton that had 3 such polishes w a pink, blue and green shift. Very cute.

I don't often go for Nars probably because of the packaging overall but I must say what I do have is very lovely quality 😊I have all special editions though... I have a small Nars Unrated I think in beautiful mauves, pinks and a few bigger palettes in a very warm peachy, golden and a cooler toned ocean theme which are older summer editions. Very pretty easy to use shimmers

Wow, I never hear anyone mention the terrible Nars black packaging. Like you, I stay away from it, even though I like the quality of the brand. If I do buy Nars, I stick w/ the special packaging. It's bonkers they've not done away with it by now. The stickiness is the worst! I also love the Dior pink quad for fall. I will def pick that up. Enjoyed your video.

I have started to use a lot of my lip products as blush if I can't find a right shade. Especially my Korean products are basically identical to these "new" combo lip and cheek products

Thank you for the video!!! 😘I'm still interested in Chanel summer (pink nail polish, blue eye pencil, and pink duo), but I need to swatch it before making my decisions on it. I'm interested in Dior summer/fall (their new baked gelee quads and blush/highlighter duos). As for Nars, I'd get the all-matte palette (it seems very convenient), I also like the baked blush, but I'm not 100 sure I'll get something in the end. Too many releases are coming out at once... I'm also very interested in the new Bobbi Brown quad palettes. I'm 80 positive I'm getting the one, and skipping the other.

By way of follow up: the copper eye liner is FANTASTIC! I’ve used it to line my upper eyelid, and a little bit on my lower lash line. Tight lined with Gucci gel eyeliner (retractable - I hear you!) in the brown and added YSL Lash Clash in brown. Love it and it complements my brown eyes. The Chanel liner is very easy to apply, very creamy. The swatch on my hand doesn’t budge either so should last all day on the eyes.

Agree about Nars packaging, so frustrating. I’m interested in the taupe eyeshadow palette too. These are staples/ must haves in my collection.

Ah these palettes from Chanel looks good. And the DIOR packaging is on another level. When it comes to high end designers makeup is pretty much the only thing I can afford. The formula sounds excellent from what you describe. Yes interesting how colors and even type of shadow say like shimmers for example can age you. I like the Gucci packaging too. There is some lippies from them I would like to try. The Hermes looks too matte for me with the lippis. Suqqi looks like them make some excellent sets. Oh wow I did not know that about eyeliner. I like cool shades for winter. Loved all your reviews here. Just subbed and keep up the great work. 👍🥰

Now that I know the new Dior quints are baked gelee I am interested in the blue one. The Nars quad looks nice too. I did purchase the SG brushes & they are beautiful but I certainly didnt need them. The prices are getting too high so I am cutting back on my fude buying.

I also like the pink Dior- that burgundy with the cool pinks looks very pretty. So glad to know you dislike the Hermes formula because on seeing it in the store, I thought the packaging is so much cuter that I thought and was a bit tempted… but the prices are outrageous! My most recent purchases are the Suqqu cool summer quad with the pink and greenish taupe and the pre-summer purple/cool pink quad (I’m all about the pinks now!).

I agree! Nars ditch the rubber packaging.

I will get the Hermes quad (I don’t have any issues with the ones from permanent line and love the formula and colour story of all of them). Also I will get the grey quint eyeshadow from Dior. Everything else is a hard pass. Sonia G brushes are beautiful and good quality but I have enough brushes (including Sonia G Maki-E set - Holiday collection 2023). The thing with “it’s worth it” or “it’s not worth it” is very subjective. If I like a lot a product and I can afford it for me it’s worth it. If I highly dislike a product even it’s $2 it’s not worth it because I will never use it. It’s all about everyone’s aesthetic, favourite brands and affordability. Thanks for sharing!

I have a few items the new Chanel Jardin Imaginaire summer collection and these are my thoughts after having now used each item: 1. Blush/highlighter in Berry/light - irl it looks exactly the same as the Chanel promo pic. I am disappointed with it - it is MERMAID makeup. The highlighter is duochrome and the berry shade is a jelly pink and is patchy and difficult to blend. I used Chanel face brushes to apply. Disappointing. 2. Blush/highlighter in coral/soft gold - FANTASTIC! Love it. The shade has a slight hint of terracotta in it and gives a hint of warmth so it is not a bright shade. It’s suits my fair-medium cool skin tone perfectly. The highlighter is a pale soft gold shade which I find flattering. Easy to apply and blend. 3. Eye liner/contour in Celestial Pink - More MERMAID makeup. Just a mid pink glitter shade - the glitter is a darker pink. It seems to have a bit of a duochrome to it. I don’t like it by itself on the eyelids. It looks patchy on the eyes, probably due to the uneven dispersement of the glitter in the kohl itself. Maybe it would look better applied over an eyeshadow. 4. Eye liner/contour in Attaya - actually better than I expected. A metallic copper. Just glides on and is great as a liner on the top lid. I much prefer a metallic liner than the glittery finishes. 5. Micro fine Eyebrow pencil in Taupe - excellent. The right shade for my eyebrows and easy to fill in where sparse and add fine strokes to create hairs. I like the twist up mechanism. No lid, it just twists up which I like. No lid to lose! Only negative is that it’s small in size and will finish this quite quickly. It’s quite expensive so I probably won’t repeat purchase.

That's a great video! I was hoping for Gucci bringing out highlighters, but these bolors are a hard pass for me.

I was actually disappointed in the Chanel blush shades. I liked the original I guess photoshopped purple berry shade albeit it was more of an autumnal color. Ah well maybe in the actual fall they or someone will offer it.

I see you gave up early on the presidential debate, I managed to get over halfway, but had to stop because of severe brain rot. I'm extremely attracted to green, the Chanel 48 and 50 are colours I want + the acid green nail polish. I have a too big collection of nail polishes I need to use up though. Edit: I just looked at Chanel's shop, they have coloured mascara. A light purple which isn't too unusual, but also red and orange which seem to be colours that have been added to mainstream, high end and lux brands quite recently. The only brand I can remember having those colours ages ago where the cheap alternative brand Stargazer. I have Pat McGrath's red mascara, but now I'm curious about Chanel's red.
