Hello gorgeous 🙌 Lancôme just released holiday eyeshadow palette and I believe it has baked gelee formula. I’ve got it yesterday and I LOVE it. I used already with wet and dry brush and the quality is amazing. Unfortunately it is just holiday release. The most shade that I fell in love with is a brown shade. I’m 47yo and this special shade doesn’t emphasise the texture on my eyelids. This palette made in Italy. I would pay any money for the eyeshadows with that baked gelee formula 😢
It’s so much fun being able to swatch with you. I swatch my palettes in a similar way. I have a soft spot for Chantecaille too and grown to be able to ignore the prices since buying so much less 😆 The Cheetah palette is beautiful and seems so perfect for you. It would definitely be my choice instead of the LE!
Oh thank you for this video! I was really tempted by this cheetah packaging and wonderful browns, but I was waiting for a sale and I got the LE new brown palette in the meantime - between your video and the new LE I got, I’m less tempted now, which is a good thing - I feel more satisfied with the browns I have from LE now. The pink and white shimmer she’s got in there are real meh and wimpy and I’m not sure how to use those two, but all the browns are really nice - people say some of the browns look the same, but I think they are all different on me - just no satisfying shimmer in it, so two wasted shades for me but a real nice basic easy and pretty compact - thank you again ❤
I like this palette too but it needs a lighter shimmer for me. A quad with a very light shimmer topper would have been perfect. And it’s too expensive for what I think of the brand. BTW, I copied you and depotted my Suqqu. Talk about orange! So many coppers and warm pinks in my collection. Don’t get me wrong, I like orange but enough is enough. Suqqu repeats coppers and warm pinks worse than I realized. I separated my colors into warm, cool and neutral sets. Now they make more sense to me. You can fit 5 quads in one double sided kitpak and take it traveling. Thank you for the inspiration!!!!!
Oh great! I carefully avoided all the orange palettes by Suqqu, but still I have many orange pans! Suqqu is much superior of a formula than Chantecaille and better priced. But Suqqu color stories are quite repetitive indeed 😘
Not only do I love that we seem to like many of the same things so it’s so helpful, but I just love the way you think about makeup and how you reason your way through the process of deciding what you’re purchasing. It’s helped me do the same!
I think it’s a beautiful chic purchase! I totally understand the urge to buy something, even when it seems irrational. I had a similar experience with the new Chanel cream-to-powder blushes. The formula is fantastic, but the shades are so boring and predictable: oranges, peaches, reds, and pinks. I wish the range offered more nuanced and complex shades. Despite this, I gave in and bought Beige Éclatant, and I’m also eyeing Rose Radiant. Totally illogical, I know, but I really love the formula. Bobbi Brown also released new eyeshadow trios, and the shade Everyday Greys really caught my eye. I swatched it in-store, but wasn’t impressed by the formula. The sparkle shade was quite crumbly and needed to be smoothed out with some effort, though the colors themselves were beautiful. Maybe I’m at the stage in my makeup journey where it’s hard to impress my beauty instincts. I’m not entirely sure.
Thanks dear! I don’t have a BB counter near me, but one BB trio is very similar to this one and it was the one I was the most attracted to. After your comment about the formula, I guess I can skip them 😉
I also purchased the trio. I couldn't resist the packaging & I know I'll get a lot of use with this palette especially for travel. I won't be getting anything from the holiday collection.
I decided to buy the Cheetah trio despite I was aware of the cons that I expressed in detail in one older video of mine about this collection. This proves 2 things: 1. You can be very accurate in analysing a product before buying it, this can help to reduce later regrets. 2. Purchases can also be done without a need but as a treat. Every now and then, a treat can be good for your soul. Conscious spending should not be a punishment, but instead a well reasoned awareness. Be kind with yourself (and with others). Since I now have the Cheetah palette, in this video I offered you some comparisons so that if you are still tempted by it, you can better understand the colors. Anyway it's a palette with what I consider a great color story, and I'm finding myself looking for it in the morning. That means that at least I can get value from my unnecessary purchase!
At least you have all these “favourite colours” in one palette and it will be easier if you want to take these colours when you travel. I don’t mind having doubles for this reason. These are my fave colours too but they’re not available in Australia.
I don't like the feel of oil on my skin. I use a cleansing balm instead; my current favourite is Farmacy Green Clean, which removes every trace of makeup for me.
I suggest keeping the palettes in their boxes for storage. I never knew about the "sticky" factor because mine are all in their boxes. The boxes make pulling out what I'm looking for very easy too. On me Pinto has mauve tones and the shimmer in this palette is a rose gold. Very different on my skin tone. Also, Pinto is long sold out at least in my country.
Can I ask please about the Dior singles… are they baked gelee? I’m considering buying the colour Beige Mitzah but I can’t decide yet if it is too cool toned for me. Thank you. 😊
I’ve yet to try Suqqu or Surrat (for some reason that brand comes to mind as well). Those formulas sound perfect for my dry mature eyes. Does your Vinted sell to the United States. I never heard of Vinted before.
Hi dear, no Vinted is only an European thing. And not even for all EU countries. Yes Suqqu and Surratt have a close formula, very thin. They don’t last all day on me (but I never use primers, I always forget). However they fade gracefully so I’m totally fine. The finish is superb, like a filter on the eyes. I have a demo in a video of mine called “the best shimmers”. I show the effect of a Suqqu Shimmer there 😘
I was looking at your Vinted, but I can’t make it work (I’m new to Vinted). And it seems I can’t buy from the Italian site, I’m in Denmark. I can see your store and press like, but nothing shows up on my likes list. Too bad, I would have liked to try Suqqu
Hi, I live in Poland. Until a few months ago, I couldn't view your Vinted page at all. Now I can go in and see what you are selling, but I can't do anything else. Maybe in some time they will unify our platforms.
Thank you for another great video! ❤ You did a fantastic job! Sometimes I want to depot my PMG palettes and make my perfect mothership. Can't wait for your declutter video!
Thanks hon! 😘😘😘 I need to depot my PMG! It’s been 1 year I’m procrastinating on it, since it’s more difficult and I’m worried to destroy my favorites. But right now I don’t use them because of the impractical packaging.
You've inspired me to do the same to my Suqqu palettes. I picked two shades each from 01 Mizuhana and 06 Fukakanade that I liked, placed those in the compact and now I have a new Suqqu palette that serves some purpose for me. I'm not an anxious person but when it comes to makeup, my anxiety level goes up for having even three eyeshadows and only preferring a couple of shades. I got rid of the ones I didn't like and it felt good. Thank you for unburdening me from this.
Beautiful 😍 I like how you’ve arranged them in colour families. I have done the same and have 4 large palettes that contain most of my collection! I live near a Suqqu counter where I can swatch and see the shadows as they release and I’ve been getting most of the eyeshadows for the last 3 years, I just can’t resist them. I don’t even want to do the math of what they add up to 🫣 The SA showed my the testers for the winter collection today and the Smokey quad - which I didn’t want based on photos- is so smooth and silky; the smokey purple is really pretty and I don’t think I have anything exactly like it. The acqua green quad is so unique and beautiful as a colour, but I really should not get it as I doubt I will use it.
@@bobmindset I could not wait! I just popped out the cream color and darker shimmer from their most recent warm face palette and put in a Shu Uemura matte and a Clionadh multi chrome. Can’t wait to try my custom palette!
I have 200 in the Kiko. I’ve had it for years and it’s my favourite. It’s just beautiful and thanks to you I know why - because it’s baked 😊 Thank you!
I’m actually curious if they changed the megamothership formula to the one in the quints. The pan size looks the same, almost looks like three quints in one palette.
Hello, can I ask please, how do I get around selling makeup on Vinted if I swatched it? and therefore is not brand new. I’ve got lots I could sell and you’ve inspired me to do it. 😊
If it is only lightly swatched and it looks like new they won’t delete it. Then if someone wants to buy it I tell him/her in advance, so that they have transparent info before proceeding
Looking forward to the Suqqu video! The YSL palette is on the way to me, I expect it to arrive Friday or Saturday, so hopefully the formula is better than what I see in these swatches (swatches never tell the whole story). Also, it reminds me a lot of a YSL quad that I already have, Over Doré. We’ll see! I’m not interested in the ones from Dior, I don’t like the new formula at all. So easy pass for me. I much rather buy the one from Chanel! I also think it’s just one quad and not two, because they look very similar. Thanks for this video!
Looking forward to your video! I need to be talked out of the Suqqu launch as I know it be probably redundant in my collection but the green-blue quad looks quite unique- however I know myself and I don’t use these tones so much. The deep smoky purple is also tempting me, but it’s just the one shade I’m interested in. Jorge makes lovely collections though, love these pre holiday launches.
I don’t always love Jorge’s creations, since he used a lot of red and orange in the past. But this collection is amazing and I need to be talked out of it too 🤣 I confess that after all that effort in depotting 25 palettes I have some thoughts that I’ll share in that video 😘
I had decided on the Chanel quad too. Not that I need any more eyeshadow I have enough to last 3 lifetimes, but I just can’t say no to the mini camellias 🤷🏼♀️ I hope the formula will be like the Parure Crystal palette, that’s so beautiful and my favourite Chanel quad so far.
