You can awaken rank 5 1-2 star gems. Works for me 👌🏻

I doesnt take a 5 star gem to awaken if you would have unequipped the vipers bite then reequipped it it would have been awakened

2 star gems can still be awakened at lvl 5

Maybe you could make a video specifically focused on awakening legendary gems, what kind of benefits you get from them, what slotting gems into awoken gems does etc. People could use that now, since lvl5 is obtainable by a lot of players. Thanks 🙏

We can awaken any legendary gem at rank 5. Irrespective of their star quality. Let it be 1 star or 2 star or 5 star. There is a bug where you can’t awaken lower star gems under rank 10. Just unequip and equip them, they can be awakened

Legacy of Horadrim "Iben Fahd's Tenacity" should be guaranteed drop upon opening all chest.

So is it worth just maxing out a 2 star gem rather then a 5 star if you get lucky enough to get one ?

Echo checked those gold looking books. Its part of a side quest from cains log book . You get rewards from it

Sorry but, incorrect about the awakening with 2* gems. They do awaken at r5 or higher. There is no need to play musical slotted gems just to awaken gear... unless you have a gem below r5 and you want to use a Dawning Echo to future proof that slot. If there's an issue of "Hey my gem is r5... why didn't awakening work?" ... there is a bug that some gems already slotted of r5 or higher not awakening after using. Just got to remove that gem and put back in place. Annoying, but nothing hugely bad.

Crazy happy with the update. Nothing feels forced. And plenty to do to level up. And have fun. Might even put some more money on it now

You dont need 5 start gems to awakening slots.. it could be 1 start at lvl 5 to..

You just have to take the gym out and then put it back in to get the awakening

It's funny how no one ever mentioned anything in all the videos about this big level 5 awakening that got every f2p player excited and just now it's ohhhhhh btw, to awaken it you need a 5 star at 5 to awaken! Most free players will never have a level 5 ,5 star...so the divide between whales is even bigger now as I've seen guys already got all 8 pieces awakened AND slotted! I love how that was kept in the dark, and it's funny how in this video you, Echo, don't even mention how that was kinda a shady move. If new players were "intimidated" before, wait til now! Unreal

I am really pleased with each update that Blizzard has released since day one. The game is just getting better and better with each update. I like the 5 * gem option to awaken at level 5. I've been holding on to three 4* legendary gems. So now I can see hope of actually using them in the future. With the free dawning echo, I have all but one piece of gear awakened and that is my BSJ. Gem power is going to grind now going forward. Glad Bliz is sponsoring you and treating you well. I only watch your channel for updates and look forward to them daily.

Allowing us ftp players to awaken our gear is a great quality of life change. I can potentially rank up my 5 star gems to rank 5 without spending a dime, may take a long time but it is still double and worth it with the change. Nice job di

29:36 oh wow you can have a second selection of reforges and save it, just like the Armoury. So now you can have a setup focused for PVE on loadout 1 and PVP on loadout 2 and you can rename the loadout title.
