wear notes:
concealer - I did end up bringing this on the cruise and LOVED using it everyday. Good coverage - definitely creases less if you set it (like pretty much any concealer) - I’m REALLY liking this one!
loose powder - definitely looks nice when setting your face but still has a “powdery” look - I think the genius here is the container it comes in - it’s pretty cool
mascara - no flaking or smudging - the wand takes some getting used to, I just don’t think its worth the price tag
elf contour wand - ok…the wear was NOT great - I do want to try the next shade up to see - I LOVED the way it blended in, I just need more time with this one to see how I feel
elf blush & highlight wand - pretty, not the BEST wear time
makeup by mario cream blush - again, not the longest wear time but I LOVE the way this looks! best if set with a powder for sure or else it will have a slightly tacky feel - super easy to apply
GXVE highlight - LOVE IT. wears forever, so gorgeous, can’t stop using it!
lip stain - REALLY does stain! don’t know that I love the way it looks on my lips though - seeing the footage back, I feel like it looks dry

I meant to tell you I bought like 6 of those waterproof eyeliners from Sephora and I love them…TIP… I bought the pink eyeliner shade and used it for a lipliner today. Smudged it a bit and boy it worked awesome all day.

Thank you Jessica for sharing this video 😊 I do like the Essence cosmetics - the Matte bronzing powder in the shade 01 Natural is my favorite, has a silky texture applies nicely. It gives the skin a subtle hint of color, nothing orange about this one, Lol. I recently bought the Make me Brow shade - Chocolaty brows it is lighter than the brunette. The Pure Nude Baked blushes are nice too. Take care everyone 🌹

I don't understand the powder packaging? If it all mixes together (and you can't use the colors individually) why not just mix it from the start? Seems a bit gimmicky.

What confuses me about so called 'colour correcting' powders that are swirled or mixed when dispensed, is that they aren't colour correcting. Derivatives of blue, red, and yellow create brown (or beige). It is just a neutral light powder. I think that there are now more pronounced colour ways made by Givenchy, such as lilac and pink heavy mix to neutralise yellow/sallow undereyes, or yellow and peach heavy mix to neutralise purple/blue dark circles.

You have been mentioning the Tower 28 mascara in a few of ur videos lately and I tried it when it first came out but u had me wanting to retry it. Well I did and now I remember why I only bought it once!…. It flakes!! Some people have tolerance for flakes, I don’t get it but ok, but me on the other hand…I have NO tolerance for them at all! I don’t care if it cost $1 if it flakes, its out! Does it not flake on u?

The Huda Beauty product is pretty much the same(but more expensive) as the colourpop glossy stain that I have loved for months and I hardly have heard anyone talked about, it pairs perfectly with my favorite lip spf product (Black Girl Sun Gloss), which is the right amount of thick and grippy without being goopy or sticky. Put the lip stain on, let it marinate as long as you need to get intensity of stain you like, blot it off completely and put on the sun gloss. You get the best of both worlds color that last, juicy and plumped lips and do not interfere with your sunscreen by mixing with something else.

So glad you gave rose inc a try! I love their cream blushes. There's a dupe but someone the shades can't be duped. Plus the packaging I absolutely love. I haven't tried the mascara. Perhaps when I need to refill. The elf contour stick I honestly think works well. I am your tone too and got the same shade. It's a great look that you can build if you want. But I like the more subtle look it gives some days. It wore fine for me. I used setting powder after foundation and spray after I was done with everything.

Personally after using up an entire fit me powder, I think it’s a little overrated 😳 the wet n wild photofocus (translucent, idk if they have other shades) is way more finely milled and looks so much less dry and powdery than the fit me ever did

I finally got a Castify and they’re really nice. Not just “hype”. I didn’t get the highest protection level one and it’s so thin and easy to put in my pocket. It doesn’t feel as protective as the Commuter Otterbox though

I wonder if it's just my phone, but the elf liquid cheek products are coming across as really muddy/patchy and overly metallic to me. Like, you still look really pretty in spite of them. The rose inc mascara looks really nice, and the brush/wand looks very similar to the tower 28 mascara. I wish the tower 28 was more consistent. The first tube I got was amazing from the first use all the way through 5 months (I finally realized it was old and bought a replacement) but I've bought 2 new tubes since and they've both been major disappointments. Super dry and chunky every time.

I will dispute that I think higher end powders are made slightly better where you can’t feel it at all and they just look more airbrushed and seamless i think the two best I’ve tried at the drugstore were the maybelline fit me lose powder and the wet n wild photo focus lose powder

I have self tanner shades of foundation. I have too, my face is so much whiter and I love extra dark tanners. What's good is I can always mix them with lighter shades to make them work year round

Just spent the weekend in your neck of the woods. My husband is working in Lafayette and brought our camper up to stay in. He’s here for 3+ weeks, I’m only here for 5 days before heading back to Iowa. It’s such a nice area. Does anyone else remember the smashbox halo loose setting powder that came in the same twist packaging similar to the makeup forever powder? That was years ago and I used to love that powder! Definitely need to try the new ND concealer now. I prefer one shade darker (not the lightest but the 2nd lightest ) of the elf contour wand it’s more of a neutral tone it’s perfect for light to light medium skin tones

I do have a summer foundation color, but only one brand. ELDW. I mix in with other things I have. I tan, even with sunscreen, and I’m outside A LOT. I think I’d look ridiculous because the color is so different. I’m eyeing that powder and definitely the lippie. You found some good things!!

I’ve purchased 5 of the makeup by Mario blushes. I loooove them! They’re so beautiful on mature skin. I said to myself,”I wonder when Jess will be trying the barely blushing shade?” 😂 The elf contour wand looks perfectly natural on you. We are skin twins so I might have to try that. I self tan every 5 days- I have a dark foundation that matches perfectly and a very light foundation that I add to my face to mix with it as my tan fades. On the last day of my tan I’m pretty much equal parts. It’s still a pain to match my neck on the daily. 5 years and I’m still making mistakes since my tan isn’t consistent in deep color from application to application. Maybe it’s the different body lotions I use 🤷‍♀️

Hello my Dear, I das you using the Essence 8h liquid lipstick the other day and I bought one. I was surprisef how nice it felt on the lips and how long it lasted. It only costs 3 Euro Here in Germany and it is as good as the Fenty liquid lipstick that I bought for 20 Euros. I could not get the colour you used here but pink blush is a really nice pink. Controversial opinion but the last season of succession was not the vibe... I dunno I feel like it was overhyped and just didn't deliver as much as the other seasons. I do feel it ended the way it was supposed to but I am still like angry at certain characters LOL no spoilers, just saying haha. The cast did a fantastic job though as always!

I self tan regularly and have one foundation shade (Missha bb cream recommended by you!) and use bronzer to match my current shade too 😊 LOVE cream bronzers for the reason, they are so much easier to blend into the neck IMO

My skin tone is similar to yours and the light medium shade of the elf wand is really one of the prettiest bronzer shades I've used in a while! And I think the formula is a little different/better!
