In the 90’s we used brown eyeliner as lip liner. Powder and wanted zero shine. All matte baby, except for the lips. We had a lot of frost.

You have always come across as a genuine person who is passionate aboit makeup and wants to share that enthusiasm while being helpful. Most of the blushes and lip productions you try on videos arent PR! I think it's just eyeshadow is yhe glitziest among your audience (chances are they are indie lovers who dont think eyeshadow is dead) so they mistakenly think you are only showing things from brands you have relationships with. I am glad you are getting recognition for your work because it is a lot! I mean we dont pay you for that info and no work comes free. Anyway totally understand being shy to confront (im the same way) but glad you discuss it for those who may feel you are only showing certain brands. Always love your content.

Don't apologize for anything. Times are hard right now. Some of us (like myself) have been laid off, left the workforce, are prioritizing family obligations, etc. You deserve to get paid for your hard work. Period. AdSense isn't what it once was so if it's through free product and affiliated codes/links then so be it. You give honest reviews (and I've seen you give some not so stellar reviews of product gifted to you). Don't listen to the haters. They can go kick rocks.

I bought too much with the memorial day sales that happened this weekend... danessa myricks, gxve beauty, sephora, etc. I'm good with brands holding off on launches. I feel like we get a slow down in June and July because of all the sales that happen before Aug and the halloween/ holiday palettes launch.

The Glamlite release hit me in the nostalgia, too. All the things you said I remember doing with my family too - 90's kids. 😅 I want to pick it up 😂 Jurassic Park scared the heck outta me too girl my late Uncle Rob took me to see it, and I drank so much mystic water to make myself go to the bathroom on purpose 😂 Oh, the memories! I love the layout of Simply Posh and Blend Bunny (when they aren't aiming for chaos) 🤣 I love a good matte/shimmer cohesive layout it's soothing to look at. While chaotic color stories do make me think about a good makeup look. 😜 Black Honey is a beautiful shade on most people - I have gone thru at least 2 tubes in under a year. Don't get the Gisou lip oil girl - they played you last time. LoL. I had lip products from the early 2000s that had coffee or chocolate scents to them. They did love calling stuff mocha a lot. LMAOOOO 😂 what a time to be alive. 😂😅🤣😆 Also, I was a sesame street kid, Arthur, Mister Roger's neighborhood, TMNT, Puzzle Place, and a shining time station kid. Blah, that comment about the P.R. thing - if they have been watching you as long as some of us, they know before the kids and being put on the P.R. lists, you had a corporate job using your Masters degree and spent a ton of your personal income on makeup and beauty products to review for us so we would know if it was good or not. Plus, you do review quite a few brands that you do not have a code or affiliation with. You have a blush and bronzer monster that can not be stopped sometimes, and we love you for it. 😂💜🫶🏽 haters are gonna hate, sis. Just keep doing you. 💜💜💜💜 Besides, every time I buy indie, I use your code pretty much exclusively. LoL.

I think that you are reviewing the products that you would be buying if you weren't getting them in pr and had the money! They're also the palettes that think most of your audience will be most interested in ‐ brands are recognising your style and sending the pr that best fits you and us! If you went and purchased something random just to do a non pr review you'd just be getting people saying they aren't interested in it and asking why you aren't reviewing the stuff you got in pr instead! Keep doing what suits you and most of us will be extremely happy! I recently made a purchase from Klarity - they were very slow to dispatch my order and I was beginning to panic as I had a trip planned and was imaging it being dispatched and delivered then sitting on my doorstep for a week or being stolen or alerting burglars to an empty home! I contacted them and they were extremely helpful and we agreed that they would hold my package and dispatch it on the date of my choice so it would arrive after my return. I'd have preferred if they'd handled my order faster so I got it before I went but they did send it out on the date I requested and I had it delivered to the UK 3 days later!

Karen, you are not passive aggressive (that’s someone who fakes being nice on the outside, but is really out to get you and tries their best to do so). You just don’t like confrontation. Either way, you’ve done nothing wrong and you are hardly the only creator who does a lot of videos with things you receive in PR. You don’t have to bankrupt yourself for content. You be and do you! Maybe I’m a snob but the Glamlite looks cheap. I am so done with lip oils. What’s next, do it yourself lip oil injections sold by cosmetic companies?😀That Gisou looks gross and reminds me of salad oil🤢 I really love the Lethal cosmetics eyeshadows❤️💯Very nice 👍🏻 Wonderful video… thank you💯 I will support the smaller RU-vidrs like yourself because you are down to earth. Where do you see indie brands in 4 or 5 years? Do you think some of the brands that you like will be out of business?
