yeah, you never defend it at that point, you always make a new base. If you had done that, you can't lose because you had zlots out and you'd just kill workers / deny production
I havent been playing sc2 and I'm kinda of going threw withdrawal as it's been a while since I've cannon rushed. I appreciate you helping me with my addiction.
Harstem every single cast of a PvT: "building an initial zealot is the stupidest thing you could ever do and just a massive waste of 100 minerals" Harstem in his own games: "This zealot is going to mean the world to this build and he is my one true son"
Try this exact strategy and do a 2 base mothership rush please. Make sure to build the mothership from secondary nexus. I send you love, peace and prosperity Harstem
You never told us your name. Your real name. Other people have named you, but you yourself never did. Can you please tell us what your name is? We are having doubts.
Seems like ladder being completely destroyed by cannon rush this days. Also third game's replay should be sent to Spirit with the words: "Your response was wrong! This is correct response to what i did" )
4:59 ignore the 10 and 1's just do the 100s. so 2250 down to 2000=200. +2250 down to 2100=100 so somewhere in the 300-400 gas; ofc that won't be perfect but even stressed its extremely fast and with your pro mind you know what 300-400 gas means, and whether or not it makes a diff if its 300 or 400, and if you you need to calc the 10's ^^
7:37 when in doubt statics are always worth it ;DD rather be down 150min than lose 5-10 probes to some lings. honestly just full wall it for now, or take one probe out and full wall it; you don't need to ever walk anything out.
13:28 just built 2 photons -_- also who cares, so what he killed 200 mineral worth off batteries, just rebuilt them, in the same time you killed like 400min+ gas off him. also your tempest are just chilling for way too long, thats at least 4 corruptors dead if microed better
Dear Captain, which hotkeys do you use and when its important to wall and how is it done right? I am stuck at the gold league beacause i suck at keeping my workers alive against zerglings
So, the way to wall is to put the pylon as far away as possible from the ramp, just so that the edge of the powerfield touches it. That means you can wall with 3 big buildings and can still rewall with big buildings (3x3 buildings like gate, cyber) behind them in case someone tries to break your wall. Also important to not leave diagonals open. If you don't have the building grid enabled, go into the options and do that. Against zerg you should go nexus into cyber and then either chrono twice to pressure with two adepts or you don't chrono at all and just send your first adept to scout while 2 and 3 stay home. This way you can see a lingflood coming. Zerglingspeed finishes at 3:30, so by that point you should be home again and finish your wall with the 2nd gate and one adept blocking the entrance. The other 2 adepts can secure a third base by blocking them inbetween a pylon and the third nexus. If the zerg attacks the adept and it's too many for the adept to take out, you immediately shade the adept backwards and take a probe to wall. If it's only a few lings you make a battery (takes longer to build than a pylon, so it's easier to cancel as you don't want to wall yourself out) or if it's a lot of lings you make a gate/cyber. If you really did shade out right away the adept will always survive and can hit the lings from behind the wall.
Leave room for a battery behind the gap. It takes longer to build than a pylon. Another thing I struggle with is the gap itself. Make sure it can be blocked with just one battery. There are times when the Zerg goes for 11 - pool and 4 lings will be at your Nat when your Cyber Core is not even ready. So make sure you send a probe immediately after you built your first pylon. By the time your probe is in his main, the Spawning Pool is finished. So you already know 4 lings will go straight for your Nat. In that case make use of your Probe. Delay the attack by distracting the Zerglings with the Probe, even if it dies. You buy time. Or, the lings go straight for your Nat neglecting the Probe. In that case, you can build a Forge to complete the wall. The Forge becomes very helpful in so many ways. You can defend with 2-3 fast canons, you can counter with a Canon Rush or simply use it for fast upgrades - huge against a low economy zerg. If your Probe is still alive and he hasn't taken his Nat, then he's probably proxy-hatching you. In this case the Forge is also very useful because Canon range is 7, same is the Spine Crawler. So there is a low chance for the Zerg to allin you successfully. Follow the build with a Gateway - Voidray because the Zerg can't counter the Voidray-battery-canons. Also, the Voidray can stop Overlord drops. The only thing a Voidray isn't good against is proxy-Hatch followed by Queens allin. In that case, a Robo would be more helpful. You can do both if you buy the time. Scouting is extremely important, because of the multi-scenario. A Sentry is a must, for ForceField and Hallucination. GLHF!
Workers should have bonus damage against buildings. Cannonrush is the most unbalanced tactic in SC2. While its fun to watch these games, its frustrating to be cannonrushed by someone with half yours APM and have zero chances.
sometimes i dont get why harstems isnt taking a secret expantion after secussfully cannoned someone, if he would have get like a new nexus some where else faster he would have been really hard ahead. also hat like 3 zealots to defend, then rushing star gate voidsrays and gg, his last opponentent didnt even had a gateway ^^
