Wow am almost 62 and do between 2min 9 sec and 2min 20 per 500m and think am doing well... however am not going all out... be killer for me to go under 2 min.... per 500m go for 30min.. can't imagine 2h 28min at 1:45 per 500m pace... Was actually on the Canadian national team as a junior. This is another level!!!!
Wow what an effort. This is great to see especially because the techniques people use/suggest are so varied. Hands: above head - above knees Feet: on the balls of feet when hands are at highest point Back: bends around 60-70 degrees (if 90 is horizontal) Movement: 1-butt out, 2-bend back 3-pull down And the setting seems to be at around 7!! spm: ~50! I tried this and except the first 500m it was impossible to keep up with. Although it is significantly different than how i use to pull, I still got my previous best time which is 2000m-7:47. I guess there is no magic formula, you are still limited by your body. I will keep at it though.
I don’t know. They didn’t say it in the video, but it was probably really high, like 10+, because he used a lot of energy from the anaerobic system in that finish
@@xcskiing_universe It would be interesting to know. I am also curious how it compares to lactate value in a real winter race. I don't think it's that high. Never seen any data published.
@@xcskiing_universe I'm using Ski Machine in the gym I visit. It is kinda copy of concept 2 . When I go 2 : 30 / 500m it show usually about 80-100 watt. And when I speed up it is 1 : 55/500m and I guess 120 watt, maybe 140. How did u calculate that 1 : 45 is 300? It's strange by the way that display of concept2 doesn't show watts here
