I have dry skin and I love this foundation actually. The trick is to moisturize the heck out of your skin and use a DAMP beauty blender and it just looks...amazing lol
kamisha gordon Do you use a primer too? Cause I always apply a hydrator, then a moisturizer and then a primer. And I noticed it immediately set into my fine lines. I noticed it start to look much better after applying my setting spray, but still. I don't know what I should do differently.
The coverage on this foundation is CRAZY! SO INTENSE!!! hahaha I literally was like what the hell... is this real xD feels like nothing on the skin. Love you

I have this foundation and it is an amazing foundation. She is right about it not looking like natural skin but if you have oily skin that's okay! I'm a teen so my skin gets VERY oily and the oiler it gets I find the more flawless my foundation looks. Usually my old foundation would have been gone by the end of the school day but with this Marc Jacobs foundation it just looks flawless. I even wore a fresh face of make up to a football game ( I live in an extremely humid climate) and while everyone else was sweating buckets my face was matte. By the end of the night I was kind of dewy. It is worth the price because you use so little. If you don't like FULL coverage just use a sponge to apply and it will thin out.
I'm superrrr combination with larger pores in the center of my face and I hated this foundation so hard. It exaggerated the heck out of my pores and clung to dry spots I didn't even know existed. I guess if you have average pores and super oily skin, you would love this, but I'd rather deal with a less drying foundation and powder/blot. Thanks for your honest review, Laura! :)
I have super oily skin and this foundation works like a dream. I also have rosacea and so much redness that I usually have to do a full face in green concealer before foundation. With the Marc Jacobs, though, I don’t even have to use a single drop of green concealer to have perfect skin.
I have never purchased a Marc Jacobs product before. I have combination/oily skin so I have a hard time finding the perfect foundation. You are flawless
I think it is very similar to the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24hr foundation. I don't know if you have ever tried it, but I've tried both and I personally think the Lancome one is better. I have combo skin and it's great for controlling my oil, but doesn't cling to dry patches, and it also does everything that the Marc Jacobs claims.

If you went ahead and splurged on the coordinating primer... its pump can be placed on the foundation!! Definitely not a good reason to buy the primer if you weren't already interested... but it does work. You of course don't need to use a full pump unless you are doing your entire upper body (which is why I'm assuming the packaging was made with the dotting applicator). However the foundation bottle looks so clean now (and I was wasting product anyway from the overflow mess)! I plan on saving the pump when I re-purchase in the future.
This foundation is hands down the best! It gives me better coverage than Lock it foundation, double wear and becca ultimate coverage creme. A little goes a long way! It's pricey but totally worth it. It doesn't keep you matte so you definitely need to set it! I love it
2 questions, since I see you use this product.. 1.) do you use a primer? which one if you do... 2.) can you use a beauty blender to smooth out/prevent the settling unto fine lines? Thanks!!!
+Carri Kranz since I'm so oily, I use the neutrogena rice primer. I love using the beautyblender with this foundation. Just make sure you use a little at first. A little goes a long way
+Leeleegc88 I would get a sample before you buy. My sephora gives 2 mini containers with each sample. Each container lasts about 3-5 applications depending on the foundation.
I was waiting for you to make this video because I wasn't sure if I should get this foundation. I think I will skip it since I have few dry patches and I don't think it will work for me.
i write SO many reviews on MUA and watch alotta videos on make-up on YT and this is the FIRST video iv seen where every single word said ab a foundation i found FULLY accurate and agree with 100! This is an awesome foundation and with the right primer it is possible to work with dry skin,however it IS so HD and full coverage that like Laura says,it clings a bit looking cakey in spots..BUT after using for so long i tried to find a way to wear this and rid that problem and after a million primers and setting sprays,i found a solution! Bare Minerals original powder!!! yes girls,get your color right,and after ab 15min (as long as you CAN wait anyway)from applying MJs foundation,take a powder brush,BARELY dip into B.Minerals and tap as much off as possible THEN tap onto face in a circular motion and the finish is not only impressive,it takes away that"Im obviously wearing make-up" look! Think I'm crazy,try it! No1 can go wrong w Bare Minerals anyway so get a free sample if your unsure and i swear this is what iv used all summer.Tarte brighter days to moisturize,Benifit cooling water primer along with Too Faced 3in1 Hangover to prime.MJs reMarcable(sometimes I'll mix with Estee Lauders double wear OR YSL radiance awakening foundation) along with Bare Minerals original powder and face is lumi/dewy yet not sweaty at all! I sometimes set with UD de slick..sometimes nothing bc the powder alone does alot! Hope this helps the chicks that love this yet cant wear long bc if the creasing or cakeyness afterwards 😘
so if your going to swatch this foundation don't use but a drop. when i first got it i thought i had to mix 2 colors. i don't....i am the lightest shade. i put to much on my hand and when i tried it on my neck i thought it was going to be to pale... i didn't have the line settling issues that you did and i do have forhead wrinkles. thanks for the video ❤
I am newer to your channel, not too long ago one of your demo's showed your freckles, I was surprised, I never noticed them before. when you did close up today you weren't kidding, it covered your freckles! sucks I have dry skin, so not so sure to purchase. You make me laugh. Typically I don't watch many lighter skinned women on beauty on here as I am a dark skinned lasy but you are really informative and make me laugh. I had the opposite happen with wrinkles, I have dry skin and a few wrinkles on my forehead that foundations usually go into. This foundation doesn't settle into my lines or anything, even after 19 hours of wear and getting rained on New holy grail foundation lol
