As a San Francisco dude, I have to say there's just something about the Southwest where you gotta be on your toes 24/7. Compared to the city where there's noises, honking horns, etc that you have to filter out to truly understand your surroundings, the desert is the polar opposite. It's quiet af but trouble lurks in the cuts over there, not to mention more people are carrying poles out there. I spent some time in Tucson, PHX and ABQ. The desert gets down just like we do back home, just looks hella different
