All three of these cards already have homes in decks of mine. I can't believe that whale is less than $1. I bought 4 extended art versions for about $0.85 each. Once people see how good it is, it wouldn't surprise me if it crept up in price.

I find the whale particularly funny considering all of us were tearing up our whales from Wilds of eldraine..it was the new talrand and now this😂😂

Ive gotta sagas/ enchantress deck that is really looking for amphibian downpour… just imagine any enchantment etb effect plus 4 enchantments. Additionally, enchantress removal at instant speed is hard to come by, and this is some premium removal which is hella nice

I love the whale, they're pretty fair and pretty fun card to drop on the field. It also simple but deep the same time lol

Arena of Glory provides 1 mana you have to essentially tap 2 lands for using it.

It is net neutral on mana compared to just tapping 2 mountains, but it still provides its special hasty mana as RR, so you can spend it on multiple creatures, which is the point.

@@ThePretzelBreadThe actual quote is "Haste...on a land is insane, and it provides 2 mana". The two points were separate and the second point is false, as it really only gives 1 mana the same as any other land. Yes, the main point about haste is true, but that doesn't mean the secondary point isn't false either.

@@ThePretzelBreadAlso considering you need to exert it (and thus effectively go down a mana the next turn), it's actually not even net neutral. It's more like the ability costs 3 overall (2 that turn and 1 the next turn) but only gives 2 back. Think of it like Hearthstone's Overload mechanic.

The arena shouldn't have had the r cost for the exert you losing a turn to exert it. Just seems risky.

It’s haste from a land which is already potentially good. It can come in untapped right away and as Joel points out, can give two creatures haste immediately. That’s really hard to answer for potentially multiple players. And if it just added two and no other cost, it would be just insane.

This set was printed into modern, they’re not gonna print a land that allows a turn 1 ragavan with haste

@@LegoMyachi it's modern it's not a real format anymore. It's just those 8 boomers that play it. It's a dead format like legacy and vintage.

@@captianbacon that’s an extremely tone deaf take. Just because it’s not the most popular doesn’t mean people don’t still play it. It’s also one of the oldest running sanctioned formats, so maybe wizards cares at least a bit. Plus after MH3, modern has an extremely diverse meta.
