Hey for sure! I just remembered this ad, because I was in London and I approached each time I got for take a bus and travel to London (I lived in Sheffield). And I missed this today.
This is so nostalgic...I miss the announcement of district line...The next station is west Ham..this is a district line train to upminster...and suddenly the destination is changed saying..this is the district line train to dagenham east....:)
Man, Hammersmith & City and Circle lines, Paddington, Edgware Road, Baker Street... I stayed near Hammersmith and I heard all those names so frequently during the time I spent in London... they sure bring back memories. Thanks for uploading this :)
Daniela Coimbra erm, it’s not robotic but i know what u mean lol. i really miss the voice on the old district line (d stock) trains which were retired in 2017. it makes me feel very nostalgic just listening to it...
Man, when I went to London in 2017; the underground was real awesome Since I am in a place where Metros don't exist, going through the lines and seeing the stations were just great to me. Wish to come back to London some day.
i was on a 5 day trip to london december 28th 2018 to january 1th 2019 we used the underground (coincidentally this line to Wimbledon the hotel wasat fullham broadway) on our second and third days which were a Saturday and a sunday, these sounds will remain forever in my memories.
The best City and Metro in the world!China and Singapore can brag with their fancy new metros but London Underground has so much character and the biggest reason would be that it’s London! Most interesting and vibrant city I’ve ever lived in! Miss it so much! Only down side is that it’s so expensive these days!😊😊😊
I'm wandering seriously to make a tatto on my back saing "please mind the gap between the train and the platform". I treally has change my life forever
I was in London a month ago and I used the underground there plenty of times :) During nearly every ride I heard a famous line "Mind the gap between the train and the platform" (but I heard it most often on the District Line trains) :)
I believe at i was on a holiday in London with my family, in November 2017. It was my first time in London❤️ I miss that so much. Especially the London Underground🔥🍁
Panel Announcer Charlie Pellett says, “As you exit, please be careful of the gap between the platform and the train”, it used to also feature “Ladies and gentlemen”.
This is Liverpool street...change here for circle, hammersmith and city, jubilee, London overground,TFL Rail and the national rail services...Mind the gap between the train and the platform
Been to London a few times now ,love using the underground, mind the gap is my favourite,I loved the bakerloo line, one of the best reasons to visit London, the tube , brilliant.
On which line? Because according to Automated announcement wiki, there are currently no Phil Sayer's voice could be heard in the Underground. automatedannouncements.wikia.com/wiki/London_Underground_(trains)
I presume I have to go to Paddington to spot all 3 lines I guess? These two trains are randomly distributed on the three lines you had mentioned right?
Well I live deep inside the South West Trains network so I got plenty of Phil Sayer's national rail announcements(except Chiltern Railways), however I got absolutely "no stock" on his London Underground announcements. I do look forward to your list of which 16 stations that his voice could still be heard. Thanks for your help again.
Transparent Lemon . Especially when the bus is actually doing 20 mph already and still accelerating. The problem with constant announcements is they become background noise which people filter out, and can potentially miss the important ones. As a Londoner I wonder why we need to be nannied like this all of the time.
