It saved a bit of money. Also I was able to keep the stock suspension settings with have a code pop up on the dash. You could get a code delete but that’s another mod to add. Using the universal bags gives you airbag functionality while keeping your adaptive suspension intact
Looks good. Install looks clean. Not sure I would drill bumper for the purge valve but I can understand needing a solid low mount point. Definitely have the gears turning...
Looks sick! Few questions: So this didn't mess with the adaptive suspension Dodge has? Universal bags, what exactly does that mean is it an option you have when you purchase the system? Also, the condensation valves, do you just literally twist the valves at the intervals you mention? Looking into this for my widebody charger. How much did it run you with install?
What’s up boss. No it does not mess with the adaptive suspension, as the stock strut stays in place. Universal Bags is the brand, instead of buying the airlift bag or strut system and just buy the universal bags and take your springs off and these go right over your strut. The airlift system wires right up to the universal bags. The valves you just push the tip in, like if you release air out of a tire, all the condensation will come out.
Sweet ride. I wish i could hide a whole 4 gal tank and compressors in my small trunk, lol. My spare tire area isnt big enough. I have Airlift suspension on a Camaro 2SS. I've been on air for 3 years now. It was my first mod, and knowing what i know now, I'd buy it again. After air, i can never go back to static. Theres just too many cons with static and too many pros with air.
I did love the bags and on the stock struts it didn’t feel floaty. The 2SS Camaros have a spare? I had a 2SS 1 LE and I don’t think it had a spare. Mine was a 2014, what year is yours
@DavidinHD1 It's a 2013. The first year they upgraded the interior, and the last year before they changed the headlights and taillights. It did not come with a spare, but It still had the spare tire area where the spare would be. Instead, there was a foam disc. At first, I thought the dealer left it out but later learned Chevy didn't bother with a spare tire due to the size of the 4 piston brembos. Instead, there was a compressor and goop. I later bought a spare and a kit off eBay. It's a snug fit, but it works. The kit itself is basically a wheel adapter/spacer that extends the spare wheel away from the caliper and those pesky Rollerskate front brake pads. I hate spacers, but in the event of a flat, I didn't trust onstar, and it would just need to be long enough for me to get it to a tire shop. Thankfully, I haven't had to use it yet.
@DavidinHD1 2013, also best to my knowledge, was the first year they introduced the touch screen head unit/ Chevy MyLink. I wanted all the bells and whistles without those new taillights and headlights. The 2010-2012 models had that old plastic steering wheel, cheap interior, all plastic dashboard, older gauges, and that antiquated head unit. I'm not sure if they had the seat warmers or not, but mine does. It also has the HUD and voice command.
Clean! I needed to see this, I just bought the same set up it looks like you used 90’s for the fittings coming out of the tank? Did they come with the setup?
I would not set the condensation valve around the tires. I have had a few rock guards and even the diffusers get tore up from road debris. Would suck to pop that nipple with a rock.
@@DavidinHD1 Any recommendations now that you are a year in to this system have you made a video? I am about to put on an SKS widebody on and was looking to bag it after.
@jjak75 yeah, if you want a system and keep your adaptive suspension function… they make sure when you get the airlift system you don’t get the bags or struts from them. All you need is the air management system and all the air lines with compressor. The airlift strut tends to cause clunking sounds when going from being aired out to normal drive height when left low for a long period of time. The universal bag combo is great piece. I sold the car and the air lift system separately so I can’t provide a review of it now.
I plan on doing this to my hellcat too and was wondering when you bought the universal bags, did you have to buy the lines/ wires for them separately or does the air lift performance kit come with them?
I've been on the fence for over a month now. Could you post a link to the air bags that you went with please? Great video and this is what I've been looking for as an alternative to the whole Air lift kit.
Thanks bro, this kit is a hybrid between airlift and universal bags. some examples for the kit are below. So it’s an Airlift 3P kit. Don’t get the strut version. Then you need the universal bags. The driving is kinda the same, the lower you drop the car the less body roll it has. I don’t have wheel hop, but that’s mainly because I have drag radials and a diff brace that helps put the power down
Hey man I’m trying to do the same to my WB. For the life of me I can not find the bag over stock suspension that your talking about. Can you point me in the right direction as to where you bought those?

Sweet car super beautiful!!’ Can you send me what you choose for the exact setup on the airlift website? I want that exact setup so I have trunk space. What airline size, manifold type, compressor size, tanks size ect and rims and tire size.
Thank you!! It’s a Airlift 3P system. Bag over strut version… don’t order the one with struts. Universal Bags (air bag company), 1/4inch lines with two Viair compressors. 4 gallon tank
I don’t anymore, are you planning on installing this setup yourself? Cause a lot of times the shop that’s going to install this for you can package it up for you.
@@80HDX I want to say it was 85-90 front and like 60 rear. I don’t remember it’s been a minute since I had the car. But I want to say it was something like that. So it was low enough to drive and not scrape. And I came to a parked stop I would just air it out. When I was going over speed bumps I had it set to 120 all around.
2,500. Kinda expensive where i am at since not to many locations that can do it. So install prices differ to where you are located and shops around. Supply and Demand SMH
@@DavidinHD1 I appreciate the info. I used to have bags on my old 02 Mustang GT but that was a very primitive version that was more like hydros than air ride. I’m debating on whether I want to add long tubes and a cam or switch to air ride. Right now I’m sitting on eibach pro kit springs and a full BMR racing rear suspension. It drives great (minus the squeaks from the bmr bushings) but I scrape everything lol
@@jangoscat3923 well that’s a difficult choice right there, cause headers and a cam well add some performance and sound… but idk man bags are a game changer on these cars!!!
When I was on stock tires I use to run 95 for the front and 75 for the rear. When I changed to the nittos 315 on the rear I bumped it up to 84 in the rear now.
@@numvienthongsuk4684 no I didn’t need too, I was able to get an alignment with no issues. It can go up as high as 135psi which is about 1 inch or so higher than stock
@@numvienthongsuk4684 so idk if you see the video about the bags, so it’s bags of stock strut setup. So suspension is still the same just has the airbags added
@@DavidinHD1 When you were on 75 in the rear you wouldnt bottom out easily? If I do anything under 80 psi I for sure would rub even on the smallest bumps. I too have the same setup as yours.
