Thanks so much for the vid; great job. Had the mid's removed today on my 21 Scat WB. Much better louder exhaust sound. Nice popping burble when you let off the gas, more so in manual letting off the gas at high to moderate RPM. Actually very similar to Borla Atak that was on my 14 Vette Grand Sport and 17 2SS Camaro. Deleting the mid's is so cool and easy at a good muffler shop, took approx an hour, was $300 but this is in LA.
I didn't like all that raspy from straight mid muffler.. I replaced my mid muffler with vibrant 1794 and did the rear resonator delete.. best decision ever!! sounds 10x better than a straight delete.
Jeezze07 I got a 2019 WB SP challenger and I also put 1794 vibrant on mimes sounds great but I didn't do the Rear resonator delete. I'm thinking I should what's your opinion 🤔
@@297modz yeah this will be my 3rd challenger started with a sxt then went to a RT 6speed now it’s time for the big boy! I love these cars! I’m going 6 speed cause it’s a little more engaging in the challenger for sure. The automatics are awesome though and very responsive! Soon it’s gonna be hard to find these as they are going to electric very soon
@@Ripcity06 I completely agree! I'm also on my 3rd chally. Went from SXT to a Scat but didn't had sunroof and bunch of other things i wanted and than widebody came out. And sealed the deal for me!
I was just watching videos to see what changes I want to make to my 2021 shaker scatpack widebody. She's not as loud as my 2018 rt, then I realized this is the local shop I go to. Lol.
I subscribed to your channel man! I drive a 2021 Dodge Charger ScatPack Widebody! I just did a similar video. Resonator delete along with my mid muffler.
Man! Really appreciate that! Definitely my dream achievable car so far! Got something else in plan for hopefully later this year! Adding an other car to the channel!
@@297modz Exactly. I think I told you months ago that we have the same Frostbite Widebody. Only difference mine is a 2020 6-speed. I wanted to make my exhaust sound meaner when I get on it, but I am still on the fence about trading for a Hellcat. Either way, I agree that the Chally 392 could sound a bit more meaner, in a good way!
@@pharoahmonk50 yes yes I remember! I was considering for a hellcat also. But I am leaning to something else. I will actually talk about it in my next video!
I have a 2011 challenger RT 5.7 L I’m looking to get a decent sound and it seems like the mid muffler delete is a great option. Right now my car sounds pretty quiet with this increase the sound? Also I live in New York State and we have an emissions test every year as part of our inspection. Will this interfere with passing the New York State inspection I’m thinking maybe not because the O2 sensors are usually in the catalytic converter‘s which are located upfront. Any helpful information would be great as I’m thinking of doing this to my car. Thanks in advance for your help
Hey there, about regulations for NYC I have no idea. But if you don't want to loud of noice this is you best option. I've heard a few 5.7. It is slightly more quiet than my 6.4. So less issues for your emissions in your area. Besides that is also your cheapest option. Hope that was helpful!
@@297modz thank you so much for the reply I appreciate it I am not in New York City I am in upstate New York probably about 350 miles away from NYC however the inspection regulations are the same throughout the state I don’t think it will interfere because the O2 sensors are in the cats I’m just looking for a better sound appreciate the help
I just ordered a 2022 R/T I would love to do a mid muffler delete....but I live in NY we have car inspection every yr....not sure it would be legal to do....can someone help me out with the answer...,mm
For daily is perfect! Cold start in morning is amazing. Now if you want load exhaust at all times. You would need to remove the rear resonators also. Which I won't do!
Sehhh asina mes! E no ta caro y e ta zona bon! E cold start lo ta master mainta. Vooral den winter lol. Awo bisiña nan ta bay coba mama tur mainta lol.
@@297modz any issues … period. I’ve got a 2022 I bought in January. Scat 392 hemi wide body. Only got 1500 miles on it so far. I like that blue ya got its sharp!
@Jim Neano the check engine light turned 2 times in 1 year. And unplugged the negative side of the battery and all good again. I'm not sure if that may have caused it or the 180° Thermostat but not bad at all.
Did not looked at it that way, and you are kind of right. Give me a few weeks and I'll make a video of some kind of driving and I'll add a microphone close to the exhaust.
@@297modz it was an entertaining video, just not really showing the car all that much, or its amazing sound haha. every video i watch of a mid muffeler delete, they show the techs working on the car, their vlog, their drive there, and then maybe if im lucky 10 seconds of the car's exhaust
