In the class C world if you want the ability to really get away for some off gridualizational domiciling activity (maybe I can trademark this term) this is great. It’s very compact but still has the creature comforts and small enough for easier city driving. Awesome storage locker too.
@@LetMeCook86 I suppose it depends on your idea of creature comforts. I see a stove burner I can get out of the way when I want to. A convection oven allowing greater storage space. A smaller fridge because I don't need to keep a household worth of food. Tank info is in the description- fresh is 53 gal, and it's a cassette toilet, no grey tank on the RV itself. There is a stove and extra fridge outside. Personally I don't see a need for an oven. Especially with a convection microwave. What do you make in an RV oven?
I bake, baked goods in my oven silly goose. Cassette toilet is not a creature comfort. Enjoy carrying that to the camp restroom or pump out. Enjoy the smell as you pour it! The frig outside is not a comfort, it’s an option for $2K. You want comfort internet? That’s an option for $5300. This is a van, this ain’t no class C. With all the creature comforts, you be well over $250K!
I've heard these called B+, a more accurate description. I want to get a van, it its better for the kind of traveling I like to do. My experience is tent camping and a pop-up, so yeah, this is loaded with creature comforts. A/C, a place to pee that isn't a walk in the dark away, life is good! For now I'm a hotel traveler. Even then, I rarely watch TV or use the internet, and only check email every couple of days. I just can't imagine how much running an oven would heat up an rv that small. I grew up cooking in dutch ovens and grills over the fire. We had a little Coleman camp kitchen- a 3 burner propane stove with wind flaps. It's just a difference in what the end goal is :)

No way in hell I'd pay MSRP for that. 30-40 percent discount or it's a no go for me. But if others are paying MSRP good luck with that discount. Too bad, it's such an awesome rig. Love the generator combined with the huge house battery that powers everything. Being former military redundant systems are a huge plus for me, and the ability to keep the batteries topped off is a huge deal.
@@mgkleym the concern is mold and mildew so the blinds must go even in the down position. As far as a privacy window yes as my camp grounds are on sloped terraces and cell phones with zoom cameras and you know the rest…..
The perfect boondocker. Only limited to water capacity and grey/black disposal. If you are conservative you could easily get through the 14 day stay NFS limit completely off grid with no hookups. I really like the generator and big house battery combo, wish the inverter was in the 3,000 watt range.
@@JoshtheRVNerd That gear garage can hold a grocery store flat or two of drinking water and two weeks worth of 'Barley Pops' no problem. Add a female or two and the 42 gallons of house fresh water will be converted to grey water in 3 days max. That and dumping the cassette toilet a lot in the hole(s) you have to dig. Needy creatures they be! Average dude can boondock, average chick not so much. If you have one who can, keep her at all costs.
We looked at some of these Class C/ Vanlife MHs as we considered some extensive travel in retirement. I was shocked at the pricing in these things!!! I can buy a 2024 F350 diesel and a 34' 5th wheel and come out cheaper than these things. I do love the convenience of having everything so compact, but that compactness comes with a lot of drawbacks. We went from a Class A to a towable back in 2020 because I got tired of maintaining an engine that we only used on occasion. It's one of those different strokes type things.
OMG my husband just went down the path of maybe we look at a class C (and a mini was one of the things he brought up). I threatened to divorce him. I am pretty sure I would need someone to produce bail money to get me out of jail if he forced the issue. We have a Alpine 3220RL and there are times I think it is to tight for space with the two of us and the dogs.
I work for the Forest Service and my district office is not super remote, but we do not have Internet- no cell service I mean obviously we have Wi-Fi in our office building lol anyways I recently found that my Landlady is selling the property that I live on and it looks like due to the housing market and the Very low wage that I am paid that I am being priced out of the housing market. I’ve been watching your videos to get an idea of quality and options. I would love love love something like this. 😊We have a pad at the office that we can rent, which is what I’m going to do, I just don’t have the budget for a new vehicle/trailer but thank you for the information you put out there even though I’m going to have to buy used. It gives me the ability to do a better job when I’m looking.

They should consider an option where they ditch the generator and add 600 amp/hr of lithium where the generator was and also add a supplemental heavy duty alternator to the chassis. Does the 2000 watt inverter run the air conditioner? My 3000 watt has no problem with it whatsoever.
Hey, you are at my home store location where we purchased our Newmar Ventana, it's a great location. This is not something we would buy but it's better than a tent or a tiny, small TT. This is actually a pretty nice small off-road RV.
I really liked this until the wet bath. I'm just not a fan of them. I've never used one, but it just seems like a disaster waiting to happen. Otherwise, I really like the overall fit and finish. The space use is effective. generally good stuff!
Great compact class C, but one thing that bothers me is why's the cab Grey but the rv is white? This is common in this segment but is there a reason the colors of the front and back can't match?

cassette toilets have advantages like being able to empty it directly into a public toilet and flushing it all down but yeah on one that's designed for off grid...well I guess your going to be hunting down outhouse regularly lol
I believe the market is outdoorsy folks. They dump it into porta potties & pit toilets found at trailheads / boat launches. I wouldn't want to do it, but they don't go to pay campgrounds.
Perhaps the towable industry should adopt those aircraft style knobs as well. Neat unit, wish it was a GM instead. Unless it was the camera, those tires were unique. If you ever run across a GM chassis RV, please do a video on that, thank you.
This little Class C has so much potential👍but no comfortable seating “option” for the outdated diner booth dinette for cold rainy days or for an hour in the evening after your partner goes to bed and a tiny barely usable wet bath in a $225,000 MSRP RV is a dealbreaker😩
This is exactly the kind of thing I want. I'll have to wait a few yrs for a used one though. Why are motorized RVs so much more expensive than a towable? I agree with others, get rid of the black tank, put in a composting toilet. Or at most a cassette. The twin beds are a big +, and I love the size of the center bedside table. Is there electric outlets back there? Maybe I missed that. I love the dinette table, and the benches look very comfortable. So often I see vans with a table right up to the seats behind the driver, and those seats straight up, L shaped. So uncomfortable. I've gone back and forth between a trailer and a B or C. A trailer is much more affordable, but as a woman traveling alone I like the security a motorized one gives me- mostly the ability to get to the driver's seat immediately and get out of a situation. Thanks for the tour, I wish you did more of these! And the B vans.
motorized gets spendy fast. You have an entire base chassis and engine, then it goes thru an upfit process, then the rv portion gets built atop it.. looooot of steps and hands in the process
why does Jayco always have that one thing it feels like they skimped on lol...cassette toilet? yeah they have their advantages but it seens kind of weird in such an expensive rig with all those feature. 🤔
Not an off road rig if it's got dualies in back. Get rid off the generator and increase the lithium batteries from 325 to 1,000 amp hours. Get rid of the roof rack and increase solar on the roof. Get rid of a black water tank and covert the toilet to a composting style. Until then you've got an on-road RV.
C.. B+ It’s basically the same C had a modified chassis whereas b+ doesn’t Rv “classes” don’t mean what they used to. I focus more on “do you like or dislike the thing?”
For that price seeing the cabinet doors angled and looking awful, and using those cheap struts that don't even allow the doors to open fully is an automatic no. Shows the quality and attention to detail is just not even close to there and if that is the case on the things you can see I can't even imagine the things you can't.
I was very impressed with this mini class c motorhome with that being said people got to be suckers to spend over $200,000 on a vehicle like that and only get a 2 + 3-year warranty jayco needs to get new terms because that is disgusting sorry Josh the RV nerd with all due respect
