no. pretty much the worst. An inefficient engine, small battery and weak electric motor. that is stupid. battery size is ok, but they should put in more powerful electric motors and a very efficient gas engine to generate electricity.

@@mishomaisuradze8205 the Prius also has pathetic electric motors. My point is that proper electric motors outperform ANY V8/12/14/16/18...etc. engine. They purposely made it slow, even though it wouldn't have cost much more to make it a lot better.

@@Poxenium No one cares with a full electric set up you would gain a few extra tenths on the 0-60 sprint. 99% of the costumer base for this car prefers the safe range and the beautiful V8.

The hybrid versions are cheaper than the normal versions over here in the Netherlands. They get certain tax benefits and on cars like this taxes are enormous.

Ye but this is not the regular e hybrid.. in Norway the price difference between this and the normal e hybrid is 1 million kronors, or 100k euros.

Yeah here in Finland too. Starting price for Cayenne Turbo Coupe is 278.000€ and for the Turbo S E-Hybrid Coupe is 197.000€

Same here in Ireland. Hybrids and evs pay the same vat unless it’s business vehicle. Annual tax for the old 4.2 diesel was almost €2000 per year and the hybrid is €200 per year.

Reasons to go for the Turbo S E-Hybrid? 1. Significant tax benefits (in most European countries, especially if it's a company car) 2. Future proof against proposed zero-emission zones (again a European thing) 3. You simply have to have the most expensive one 4. You actually enjoy progressive technologies Reasons to go for the coupe? NONE!

This channel is excellent. I usually watch only a few of them (Harry's Garage, Jay Leno, Doug DeMuro, AutoTopNL and this). Nice footage, very informative, just maybe to long for my taste. Thomas is German and all the best cars are from Germany, so this is added value. Germans are masters for cars and technology...

This channel fills in the gap for all the others, AutoTopNL is short vid with acceleration and sound samples, Doug is a likeable weirdo who points out random useful/useless shit, Jay Leno is a legend, and Autogefühl is that channel that goes into every last detail about the car. Simply put, if you're truly looking to buy a vehicle, this is the only place worth coming to check out a review in.

Petricevic & David Lugarov - Yeah - I agree with the channel choices - but for driving enthusiasts and car-nuts, with this channel you also get a great driving part on real roads with good views out ahead, and you get a polite and courteous presenter. Who is close to the auto industry, so you hear a little snippets about the latest trends, technology, things like WLTP, petrol particulate filters/SCR, legislation, EV/PHEV/hybrid/diesel debate, that kind of thing... Cheers. (oh - another great video Thomas, by the way!).

In Austria, the Turbo S is 7500€ cheaper (!) than the normal Turbo.

Great review as always. That acceleration is savage, but I wonder what happens when you drive in pure electrict for a while and the ICE cools down and then you suddenly hammer the throttle and the ICE starts at very high RPMs... Probably it doesn't last very long...

Love the idea of reduced emissions w/in town and urban environments. Here, in the USA, being subject to the big turbo diesel pick-up truck emissions (think industrial era smoke stacks), the exposure to particulate matter is significant. Those seats look really nice, but I'm not sure about the faux suede steering wheel covering. The price point is completely out of my reach, but here's to hoping that the engineering makes its way down into more reasonably priced VW AG offerings.

I'm an electric car only person but I do have a love for my Porsche brand as my 2nd child. However, I would have really liked if they would have given us Nissan's old 24kwh battery to be able to get real practical usage on a daily basis. I chose to love Porsche from afar until they decide to make smarter future-ready choices.

The front caliper is massive. Looks race spec'ed. Anytime Thomas busts out the folding measuring stick, you know he means business.

I'm I the only one to notice that the rear is much lower then the front? Especially when accelerating even though this car has anti tilt system. This car battery must weight a ton. Looks odd to me.

Many thanks for a great Review. Everything a bit gloomy & dark inside that heavyweight Cayenne: prefer a lighter interior! Great Driving Lounge, Thomas, as always. Wow - Germany company car, 1 percent of list price per month - or even half that for a PHEV/EV - quite an expense! Thanks Autogefuhl Team for all the usual detailed information.

Funny how in the Netherlands the Turbo S E-Hybrid is around 12k cheaper than the 'normal' Turbo due to our tax regulations, whilst in Germany it's actually 30k more expensive. Nevertheless, the Turbo S still costs 20k more here, the regular Turbo is even 60k more.

the 80s called, they want their VW Rabbit textiles back, priced 150.000 EUR+. I used to like Porsche, and maybe i still do, but the cost cutting they do nowadays makes you puke, absolutely sick. Those wheels used to close the vents look like Golf ones 2004 and earlier, cheap plastic everywhere, Porsche is getting terrible at quality, still one of the best performances. But i think i would choose Mercedes anytime, or BMW. Audi is not a car. Just my opinion, with regard to Audi....all other aspects in this comment i think i'm right about.

You need to watch more Mercedes/Porsche comparisons. Mercedes are full of electronic nanny overrides, while Porsche still offers you a driver's car.

There is no reason to get this so-called SUV. One of the main reasons for an SUV is cargo space, and the non Coupe' simply has more. We could do with more electric range on the Cayenne. The chalk color is nice, though and I usually hate white.

Only gripe I have is that I wish that you wouldn't do so many coupes, especially for these cars that I'm interested in....have absolutely no interest in any coupes, so, once it's a couple, nothing else matters, i would never buy it. Also, couldn't imagine having this car with fixed panaromic roof as one of Cayenne's best feature is the huge panaromic roof.

@@autogefuehl Yes they have to go for something more Porsche, something unique for them and which distinguish them from the patterns of VW👍 still i have never liked the coupe SUVs everytime i go in the backseats i feel uncomfortable... but apart from that the normal cayenne is probably one of my favorite cars for now the interior is extremely purely perfect and interestingly after i watched your review of the new cayenne and then i went to the new X5 review, the bmw seemed a bit boring because of the greatness of the Porsche. So just the pattern is what i don't like😉👍

Since the 160k Turbo is so cheap why not make a 210k Cayenne and save some tre.. oh sorry burn more rubber. The 0.1 secs speed increase and 300 KG more is a joke.
