The strider is pretty much perfect for me. I was always under-aiming for some weird reason on all of my other pads. With the strider I feel like my mouse goes exactly where I want it to. My tracking on apex has gotten drastically better.
saaaame. for some reason, i can only play well on a high speed setup with high DPI no matter the game (in my case, tiger ice superlight + strider). If i use anything else, my tracking and aiming just go down drastically.
Every hybrid pad comparison? Aqua control white, black, strata, EBA, Hayate Otsu, Strider? In term of surface texture(roughness). In order word, the rough feedback from gliding the mouse
radar is one of the smoothest on skin and mouse feet pad i've used. How does the Qingsui compare to radar n terms of smoothness and feel? I bought the rush just a few days ago because Gamesense currently has a great sale going on, but your review of the Qingsui has def peaked my interest
Could you do some top 5/10/X mousepads/mice or comparison videos? When researching mousepads to buy I constantly get to a few that seem very high quality but I always have trouble choosing between them. I feel like while individual reviews do a great job at conveying the general qualities of a pad, the main thing that gets mentioned in relation to other models is the speed. Given the amount of products, many similar to one another, now available in the market, it would be awesome to have a video that in some way goes over the other details that differentiate them, summarizing their strengths and weaknesses, and maybe throws one or two recommendations between the options, while at that. Given your knowledge and skills, it’d certainly be a must watch for me if you ever released a video in that vein! Such a tough call for me to choose between all the great hybrid pads that have been released, such as the EBA, the new AC+ versions and now the LGG Venus, or even more controled pads such as this Qinsui 2, given that I mainly play CS:GO.
the word that comes to my mind when i think of pads like strider is traction/grip or the lack of it (maybe something to do with surface texture?) Its not speed per se which is the issue. it is kind of brisk but nothing out of the ordinary. its just that lack of grip between the mouse/mousefeet and the pad which gives that sense of lack of control. kind of like that skating on ice feeling. there could be pads same speed or faster even but they dont give this sensation because they have a sense of grip/traction between the pad and the mouse which keeps you in control. this is just my experience/opinion. a example could be you could be in a car driving at 150 miles an hour but if the tires and the road have that grip/traction, you don't feel like you cant stop or manoeuvre if need be with some degree of control. its when that grip is not there due to whatever reason weather/road surface, tires. that you know beforehand if I had to make some precise manoeuvring, I am kind of doomed.
Yo Fresh great video! I think a great content series could be pairing pads with specific mice. GProX, Orochi, Starlight, etc... It would also save me time too. Great video! Liking small mice on Strider, also it feels like there may have been a break-in period for me... Can't wait for my grips and skates to get here from LGG for the Orochi I am cloning your setup lol.
Amazing review!! I have a question. Is there a chance of you reviewing the headphones from coolermaster MH751/752? I just can't find a good comparison between this and the hd560s and I would love to see how they compare to those. (can't decide because of the noise that I am constantly surrounded by)
i'm using Endgame MPC450 for a year and needs to find replacement, and i just ordered the strider just now i watch your videos, i hope it suit my taste :)
Thanks for the awesome review, as always! Any observations on how the pads react to temperature and humidity? I live in a tropical climate, so its quite a big factor for me when choosing a pad.
I just got my Artisan Hien, so far its been a pretty fast mousepad. I think i need to "break in" the mousepad to start getting a little more control. Hoping for the best Nice video as always
You always have such in-depth and informative videos about all the products… I can tell how much you care about the people you help advise on the products. Also your knowledge is incredible and I’ve learned so much just from listening to you speak about all the different peripherals. Thank you man, I really appreciate all your effort. I hope you enjoy creating as much as I enjoy viewing 😊
hmmm was considering getting the quinsui 2 but im glad u mentioned that it had more static friction than dynamic friction. I feel like lots of static friction is bad for me bc it makes my aim more jerky. rn I have the xten and I love it sm
I love my Hien very soft, but I want some just a tiny bit more control and MUCH easier to buy. What would you recommend? Also wondering where is the best place to actually get Core and Tiger mouse feet in stock for popular mice? Thanks and keep up the great work!
awwww.... i was hoping the strider wasn't that fast I currently own a white aqua control plus for apex legends thats a track intensive high speed game. Its great for the micro adjustments but just a tad to quick for me at times for flicks. I was thinking of getting the venus for something that can meet that speed for micro adjustments and have just enough friction for flicks when needed. Would you say the venus, or even the dash would be a good step down in speed from the Ac+ white rather than a strider? I do also play some hitscan based games that are slower paced and have been trying the xtrfy Gp4. its great for pace of the games but it does feel a tad fast at times, especially for slower games that are more flick heavy. (same issue im having with the Ac+ white basically). I was thinking the Vaxee pad would also he that solid step down in speed from the gp4 i was looking for. Would you say the vaxee pad is also a good step down in speed compared to the gp4?
I had success with the XTEN, it's just so expensive. I like the Artisan Hien Soft. The lethal gaming gear pads are very good hybrid pads and are coming out soon
How does the Qingsui 2 pro compare versus the QCK Heavy? It definitely seems like the Qingsui 2 Pro is trying to replicate a QCK Heavy with the same thickness and control aspect of it.
I've been using the prime wireless and infinity pad. That's a good combo for some reason. Might be the stock feet on the prime. I feel like I have a TON of control with that combo. Don't much care for the strider but it has excellent quality.
Watching all the reviews of different mousepads, I've narrow it down to, Odin Gravity or Infinity, Fnatic Dash, Razer Strider & the new Lethal Gaming Venus. But don't know which one to pick. I currently have the Steelseries QCK XXL Heavy mousepad, and I desperately need to upgrade after 1 year of use. I mostly play CS:GO, and have the Steelseries Aerox 3 Wireless with Corepad Skatez installed. I like the Aerox 3 cause it fits my small hands.
Would you say the Strider is close to an AC+ black? I have a deskmat size AC+ but I'm looking to downsize (such a chore to clean lol), and the rubber base isn't exactly the best on the AC+. I tried the Xtrfy GP4 but I think I perform better with hybrid pads in Valorant (ease of micro-adjustments are just too good).
I think people should also consider that perhaps it's the mouse they are using that's contributing to stopping issues because skates are made with different materials. I also think that people go overboard when they talk about the roughness of the pad like they had to go see a doctor in a E.R. for third degree burns.
The Qingsui definitely provides waaaay more control for micro movements. Dynamic movements are actually moderately speedy. And smaller movements are suuuuper controlled
Nice review again, thx. Lots of reviewers should do those small circle tests on mousepads with different mice (unfortunately most of them doesn't do). I also always do it because it should be important for most of gamers/graphics imo. Best way to test static friction/precision/stickiness... Anyway, keep it up mate! Peace!
How would you say the Razer Strider compares to the Fnatic Dash? I have a Large Fnatic Dash and was looking to upgrade to a desk mat size however I'm now debating on trying the desk size Strider, great video btw!
Ooh, I'm not really looking for a really abrasive pad, been playing with the AC+ for 2 - 3 months and its been good to me, but the backing sucks and the combination of the rough surface and stitching really does me in comfort wise. All that being said, I aim extremely well with this pad. Maybe the Razer strider is not for me, but I'm itching for that stitchin.
Hey fresh awesome review again man, I enjoy your content👍 - question, I main the artisan zero pad currently and play apex legend with over 1000’s of hours and prefer a slightly more control pad but whilst still needing the speed to flick and 180 etc.. what pad would you think of oh these pads or anything else with a slightly more speed then the zero but will want a bit of control feel? Thanks in advance 🤜🏽🤛🏽
Very nice and informative vid Freshy! Waiting patiently for the venus! The rush pad looks so cool might have to pick one up. 13:30 this whole clip is just nuts love the gameplay clips
Thank you for this review, very nice to see the detail differences. Did you give the Strider more playing time ? Is it still too fast for you with bigger mices? I‘m considering the dash or strider but worried about being too fast on the strider.
I used it for about it two weeks. It was a big no for me. It’s just too slick and inconsistent for me. Some days I felt insane and others I was just like what is happening. A feeling I don’t get even on the sky pad. I can see why some people would love it though, but just not for me
Do you notice any X/Y difference with the Strider? Because from some surface close ups I've seen it seems to have kind of a vertical line pattern and I heard boardzy felt some difference. I have the MP511 and I can clearly see this asymmetry. I find with the MP511 that when I push down into the pad and slowly move the mouse up and down it's quite sticky but if I move it left and right it's not nearly so. I even rotated the whole pad 90° and moved only in a horizontal manner to rule out the skates but it was the same result. Was wondering if the Strider was similar.
@@FreshReviewsYT I guess it's not a big deal then, it's also not a big deal at all with the MP511 but I do wish Razer went for a slightly larger square size, then it would've been perfect. Regardless, I ordered one a couple days ago and it might actually be my last pad for long time... because I'm broke now :>
@@FreshReviewsYT I prefer speed with just enough stopping power for clean micro adjustments. I guess it comes down to the - Mercury, Infinity or Strider (I already have the Venus on order and I think it will be similar to the Rush). I am happy with the Hien surface but always prefer the Venus style.
@@River1411 super tough call. I was using the strider in valorant and surprisingly going great. I would say the strider is worth a try if you can return it via amazon in case you don’t like it.
If it’s your main pad, the strider might be a bit better, they’re super close. For me personally I played a bit better on the mp511 but the quality is better on the strider
Both great pads. The hien is a bit faster and the padding is more plush to dig into for more control when needed. The hien is more abrasive feeling as well. Overall the dash is more slow feeling as far as static and dynamic friction
@@FreshReviewsYT thanks alot. Btw, your original review of the Orochi V2 made me buy it and sell my g502. Ever since, ive played a total of 2 acts of valorant and im now Plat 2. No CS or tac shooter experience at all.
@@FreshReviewsYT Thank you, I'm very used to the qck but I'm interested in trying something if its slow and got a soft cloth feel as my fingertips are always in contact with the mousepad and anything rough will wear them down over time. The 2 pro sounds better but isn't as easily available in Australia but I'll keep looking into it. Really nice video btw :)
Bro just a simple question. The Xten vs Venus (Lethal Gaming Gear) pad which is preferable for Apex, Warzone & BF2042? I love my Otsu V2. Always looking to up my game is the Xten good for micro adjustments and swipes? I already ordered the Venus 🤣. I want to know if the Xten is better. Thanks for your assistance as always
Both are extremely good. The xten is fantastic when you need additional control. The Venus is faster and doesn’t feel like a control pad, but isn’t “slick” or slippery feeling.
@@FreshReviewsYT How much slower is the Xten vs an Otsu V2? Does micro adjustment feel better on the Xten for u then the Otsu V2? I ask this since I have the Otsu V2 and it will give me a good understanding. Also I found a place to buy the Xten. Just waiting on your recommendation 🤣❤️
@@rameshenzo8249 it’s slower than the otsu v2, but it’s hard to equate by how much in words. I don’t find the otsu to be a control pad. My xten video might help elaborate on the speed of the pad
@@FreshReviewsYT I got the Xten Med. Was lucky to get it from Amazon JP. Since I'm from Asia they do send it to my area. Already nearly sold out. Only 5 left. Now please stop maining new mousepads. My wallet thanks you... I kid! Luv ya man ❤️
@@Red.exe7 it’s tougher and much faster. More consistent and will last much longer. It is somewhat abrasive on the skin and resistant to humidity and liquid.
Really depends if you need more of a controlled pad. Control usually pairs better with tac shooters but it doesn’t necessarily mean the strider can’t work. Just depends how well you can keep that crosshair placement steady
@@cany7910 all personal preference. If I used the strider in valorant I’d probably have to lower my sens a little bit. But, it’s a very consistent pad so It could be good. Will just have a period of time you’ll have to get Adjusted to it with your muscle memory
mousepads are BS i play the same on 15 years old qck vs 7 years zowie vs brand newer ones. i;ve actually broken a few of my records in aim trainers with the 15 years old qck. mouse skates are more important than the mousepad imo.
