Thank you for going back to an “older” release, and all the color theory you always bring. I’m the mom of a baby who is just about to teethe and I vicariously out on makeup through you! I also can’t figure out IGTV 🤣. Also, living for “Madonna” and “Not Great Bob!”
My daughter didn't sleep through the night until around the age of 2, I literally forgot my way to work several times LOL. Sleep deprivation is no joke, god bless ya
i literally bought those eco tools interchangeable brushes because you use them all the time i’m like they have to be good . plus i like what they stand for ofc :)
I have some single shadows from Nabla. I’m over pallets in general. I whittled down my eyeshadow collection to two palettes palettes and my Salt New York large palette with my single shadows and depotted shadows. The Nabla shades I have, I swear we’re created for me. They just perfectly go with my skin tone and undertones. I’m “meh” about the formula. Well I do really like the two topper shades I have. I love that type of texture in general though. I also have one of the highlights and one of the bronzers. I love the formula for those. The bronzer is too orange for me, but I’ve only ever tried one bronzer that wasn’t too orange for me. I have some serious cool tones in my skin.
I have watched you over time and am now totally LOVING your channel. I try to keep my channel watching to a few, really interesting and authentic "content creators"... you, are now one. Your energy, bad ass big brain and the fact that you know that anyone can be fashionable, but not everyone has style...I am just here for it. Am hoping your taking good care of yourself and are feeling better. Also enjoyed that rendition of "Ray of Light". I also love that you're honest about being a parent and pretty much most things. xx
Side by Side has been living rent free in my brain for a long time too. I have a hard time justifying it because I don't wear a ton of cool neutrals and I already Have Miss Divine Rose (which is a lot of cool neutral for me) and Glam (I'm so team Natasha). But I have three small Nabla palettes and I love their formula. I also enjoy their liners (I'm on a liner kick right now. both eye and lip). Oh and their powder cheek formula! Both blush and bronzer. Hourglass, who? Divine.
Thank you for trying this out to enlighten us! I was very curious about this skin tint, so the performance is disappointing, but I’m glad to be your subscriber to get the info in context of your broad experience with other products! You da best 😊
Re: skin filters...I'm not sure what most people use but I just upgraded to the Sony ZV-1 and there is a skin smoothing effect that seems to be default on when you're in movie mode. There are three settings I believe in skin smoothing but it can get pretty intense and totally erases your texture and blemishes, so that's likely something people would use! For me that's a recipe for body dysmorphia so I keep it off but I imagine it's quite a popular feature 🤷♀️
I can definitely relate! I'm sorry this last week was so rough 😟 don't ever feel bad for complaining about normal things that happen when you have a child. We all know you love him with all your heart, but honestly... sometimes it does get frustrating when you can't fix them. My daughter has what is called Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome. She'll have episodes that last 3-5 (sometimes 6-7) days where she's vomiting every 10-30 minutes. We don't sleep at all when it happens (once every month or two) and we always end up in the ER because she can't eat or drink for those 3-5 days. We usually get admitted. It's so hard. She's 7 and has had it since she was 2.5-3 yrs old. She is also basically teething again because she had to have most of her teeth pulled when she was 4, due to being born with basically no enamel on her baby teeth 😢 she also has a speech delay which makes everyone even worse 😭 so believe me, I can definitely relate haha! I'm so happy he's feeling better and you can maybe get back into a normal routine! Sorry for the long message lol Okay, back to the video!
@@kackie 💜 I am just seeing this! 💜 Thank you so much. As parents we are constantly thinking we're doing something wrong. It gets so stressful at times. I hope all is well with your little one 💜
I love your honesty that's why I come to your channel and all your craziness. The look looks beautiful but I agree with you there are better things out there
Ooh yes, I just bought the Dreamy 2 palette by Nabla, becausr the colours were just speaking to me. Also not one of their newet palettes, but so pretty! I love a nice purple sparkle :)
Bella come sempre, Kackie! Re: skin filters for video...There are post plug-ins like the Magic Bullet suite from Red Giant. If you look up Magic Bullet Cosmo, that’s probably the most plug and play one in my experience. Da Vinci now also has a a whole skin sweetening, eye enhancing magical situation in their pro version that takes a lot of the guess work out, not that you need or would want any of that- just FYI if you’re curious.😘
I was wondering if the fair shade in the skin realist is to dark for me and when i see kackie using the fair shade i am 80% convinced it will be 😔 the usual struggle... I really hope they will extend the shade range lighter and deeper soon 🙏
I‘m a NC10 and bought the fair shade. It is visibly too dark if I really apply a full layer with a sponge/brush. BUT I actually enjoy applying it thinly after my mineral sunscreen because it brings color back to my face and evens it out. So I still enjoy using it, I just can’t use it to its full potential :)
@@gwenaey3703 good to know. I'm NW10 in Mac and Oslo in Nars. Just bought the skin tint off beauty bay (still waiting) and was afraid it'll be too dark
The BEST skin tint of LIFE IMO is the LaMer reparative radiant skin tint spf 30 ( I use fair 02 ) it has the MOST SKINLIKE FINISH after its slight dry down on the skin that I have ever experienced, it’s So easy to apply with your fingers 🙌 or a brush and smoothed over with a sponge... A MUST TRY, paired with CT Hollywood Flawless filter or the LaMer hydrating illuminator&/or their cream+powder highlight duo and any of my fav concealers ( Dior forever skin correct, Koasas (does everything-can they make a longer named ) concealer, NARS creamy radiant, the Shesiedo self refreshing concealer, or the Armani luminous silk/ power fabric concealers ) lightly set with “the powder” in the t-zone and the soft moisture powder spf 30 both from LaMer... a little bronzer either the CT airbrush bronzer, or Hourglass bronzers if I am going for powder and longevity or the RIP tan de Chanel original if going for cream or the Chantecille bronzer gel.... and lately I’ve been sticking with hourglass blushes esp since masks will rub cream right off my face if I use too many and IM A DRY SKIN TYPE & DEHYDRATED the perfect no makeup-makeup base MINIMAL EFFORT and just a couple products.... if I need extra coverage or want to make it more glam I will add a tiny bit of LMs the soft fluid foundation, or GAs luminous silk foundation, or Dior air flash foundation on top of the skin tint to contour&highlight the face subtly before creams and powders (same as listed before) then buff lightly over top of bronzers and blushes- everything ( high planes w/ hourglass ambient light powders my faves are diffused, ethereal& dim light) rest of face w/ either lamer loose, Sisley loose, hourglass loose THAT Pallet and the HINDASH PALLET LOOKED BEAUTIFUL 🤩😳 ON YOU I LOVE BUILDABLE PRODUCTS- and IM NOT A BEGINNER it’s just what I prefer AND I LOVE NATURAL LIGHTING AND DEFINITELY NO FILTERS ‼️💯🤷♀️
The six pans are higher quality-like, Dior quality. The bronzers are beautiful. The highlighters are overrated though; best to get those on sale. The lip liners are amazing.
I came here to see your review of this skin tint and I really cannot see anything bad at the end of the video. You are showing your face, but to me it looks just fine. Other reviewers on RU-vid said that after seven hours the product "disappeared" from their faces, but that it felt comfortable, not heavy, which is my main concern. I have never worn a foundation for seven hours, even Dior which is the best I've ever tried, so I still haven't given up here, haha. In Europe where I live, Urban Decay is much more expensive than Nabla, and Nabla often have sales. The same goes for Colourpop with the shipping + taxes. I have two Nabla's palettes (Poison Garden, the blue shade is not good, but all the rest are nice) and Cutie Coral (excellent). I think I won't be purchasing Side By Side because it is cool toned and too big for me.
I have both the nude side by side and nude cutie. They're both great but I prefer the nude cutie which has cream mattes. Something like that. I love the cutie nude that I got last week.. I definitely would repurchase the nude cutie. I would love a palette with all mattes in it being latex matte.
Your review is so helpful! Was considering trying this but it doesn't seem like a great fit for me. I have the palette though and I love it and it wears well on me despite my oily eyelids, could it be that it doesn't mix well with the foundation that you put on your eyes? Not sure or maybe it just works well for me haha. Loved the look despite the wear!
Can we have full deep review of the palette with swatches and maybe 3 looks pleaseeee I still think about that palette a lot too but I will pay A LOT to get it so I am scared😂
Okay this is so off topic to this video, but I used my Ouai fine hair mask this morning (I just bought it in the Sephora sale) and I was thinking about how you could not smell your ouai shampoo and your husband thought it smelled like moth balls 😂 To me, it smells like an indoor pool at like the YMCA plus a hint of rose. Like hot water and chlorine. Musty, yet clean somehow (somewhat adjacent vibes to moth balls I suppose😜) just thought I would share lol
Good morning! The flowers are so pretty. On the filters, when it comes to the apps I have no idea. On filming cameras, I know that years ago some of the video cameras came with a face filter default set to ON. I remember when Taylor Wynn got a new camera (want to say it was a Cannon) and that happened to her. And the setting was a nightmare to find. Like, why would a company assume you want that setting to default to ON and hide it so it's so hard to turn off?!
Dont worry about coming on here trying to calm I absolutely love your personality and the things you do in your videos it's so relatable I'd probably be doing the same if i recorded myself doing makeup always be yourself 🥰
If singing Ray of Light is not calming, I don't know what is. I know I'm biased because I've listened to Madonna since her first album and because Ray of Light was inspired, in part, by my style of yoga, but still, my BP just dropped 20 points when you started singing.
