Yes I also want to see the new rare beauty foundation. It looks so light on the skin but still a nice amount of coverage. Would love to know how it held up on oily skin.
Love these kind of videos. I like the in depth reviews. Ive bought things with your recommendations and ive loved them. So THANK YOU! Youve saved me money and disappointment.
Can you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE review the new Rare Beauty foundation & concealer with your regular primer/powder.. I NEED to see a review from someone with oily skin!
The foundation makes your skin look sooooo pretty. I'm so surprised it stayed through 100+ degree heat! Thanks for always doing such thorough reviews, I feel like you always go above and beyond!! ❤
I haven't finished watching yet. I just got past day one and I'm freaking sold. I live a couple hours away from Dallas so I know exactly how much you were sweating. If it looks that good after 3 hours in the heat, that's amazing. I am definitely not the type to buy makeup that costs more than even 10 dollars and I'm honestly considering buying that foundation.
I am very impressed by how this foundation stood up to the conditions! It still looked really good and not cakey or patchy or glossy. It didnt look dried out and parched, either, like so many matte foundations. Im sold!
$40 is a lot for a foundation but let me just say, every other NARS foundation line is $47/$49, so it's actually almost $10 cheaper than the others, which is pretty nice.
Finally, someone who doesn’t cake on their foundation in these types of videos!! I like a more natural looking base and can never find anyone who caters to that look! Thank you!
💋LeighAnn, I can always depend on you for the best reviews. I have oily skin and live in the south too. NARS makes so many products I love. Your hair looks beautiful btw even though I know I keep commenting that lol. Continuing to pray for you on your IVF journey and for your family. Continued Blessings and Support. Love&Light💖Carli
Oily Texas girl here. I wish I could be all helpful and give you an awesome suggestion, but I get all of my foundations from your videos. Thank you for the in depth wear test!
I don't wear foundation & havent in years but mainly because I have no clue how to choose the correct color for me but I just love watching your videos!!!! I do appreciate the 3 day wear test because it helps give us a good understanding of what something can or can not do
Hey there! What is your current favorite matte foundation for oily skin? FYI The nars foundation you get 1.5 oz for $40 and ELDW you get 1 oz. You look beautiful by the way!
ALWAYS so happy to see foundation reviews from you. I don't think people understand why as an oily girl I am ALWAYS excited for a "matte" foundation. They just don't know about the convection oven/sauna weather that is south Texas.
I love your wear tests! 💕 I’m actually loving Nars tinted moisturizer right now - it wears more like a medium coverage foundation than a tinted moisturizer - it’s so good!
Always love your foundation reviews! I’ve been here since the dirty princess bun days so I’ve seen a lot of them. Keep bein your adorable self Leighann! ♥️ I’ve so enjoyed being on this ride with you. 😘With love from the mitten state
Kayla Ward Yeah, it depends on the conversion rate but some makeup items are cheaper in the states. Whenever I’m there I always have a list lol. I can’t complain, Australia is awesome in every other way. America can have the cheap makeup 😂
Thanks for the in depth review! I wanted to point out that while $40 for a foundation is a lot, most foundations are only 1 ounce, and this is 1.5 ounces. So it’s actually not a bad price!
I like the multi day wear videos. I personally feel like it takes a few days to know how you really feel about a product. Also I also try to apply as little foundation as possible when applying foundation 😂. Just want enough to even out my skin.
As a healthcare provider who loves makeup but now has to wear a mask 24/7, I need a foundation that can handle changes in the environment, combinatin skin, mask-acne, and sometimes multiple masks at once. This foundation looks promising! price is a little high but if it can solve all my issues, then I'm down! Thanks for the in-depth review
I'm 41 years old and I've never in my life spent more than $15 on a foundation lol.. Maybelline FitMe Matte & Poreless hasn't done me wrong lol.. but if ANYONE could convince me to spend $40 on a foundation it's you. You're one of the very few Youtubbers left who's opinion I 100% trust.
I’m a total oily girl, tryna live her best life in the south, and I LIVE for the it Cosmetics Oil-Free Matte CC cream! I feel like it really helps my skin combat the humidity and heat of the summer, and helps give a little bit of love to my skin with the SPF and serum.
this one really might be worth a try for you! i wish I could say to just get a sample from sephora to try it out but I'm sure that not an option atm. either way, congratulations!! 💙
Leigh Ann, I also think that the shade of this foundation on the first and third day looks better than the shade on the second day. I have not tried this foundation but I like the way it looks on you. Thank you for this review! ❤️
I have pretty oily skin and I really love the revlon candid foundation ... it’s the most beautiful matte but still radiant not dewy finish ... I don’t know if you’ve tried it or exactly how oily your skin is but it wears really good on me ... it’s the foundation I choose to wear to work everyday... you should definitely give it a try if you haven’t yet ... also I really like the catrice hg liquid coverage foundation... I need to try your powder before foundation trick and see if it helps to keep me more matte throughout my work day ... I love your videos so much and I really trust your advice when it comes to anything so that’s why I like when you do makeup reviews 🌼🌼🌼
You should do a wear test if il makiage foundation...I want to see what you make of the online quiz to determine your shade! It worked for me, which was crazy! xx
I'm not even interested in purchasing a foundation but I love your videos so much I HAVE to watch it 😄 (I love that you're so thorough in your reviews, it's like a mini-experiment to me and so much more useful than first impressions 😊)
Thank you!! From another Dallas girl, I’d like to see a follow-up comparing this and 2 more mid/high-end along with 3 drugstore matte waterproof-ish foundations 🔍🔍🔍
As a more oily skinned person, I have really been liking the Sephora Matte Perfection Tinted Moisturizer. It's definitely not full coverage but it looks nice for everyday and wears well.
I just purchased the Nars Soft Matte Foundation and so far I like it. I'm in Dallas Texas also and this heat is no joke Lol!! I have been applying the setting powder under and on top of my foundation and that seems to really be working! I think the foundation looks really good on you! Thanks for sharing!
Haven’t even watched the video yet but if you’re recommending this, I’m definitely buying it! Oily girl here too and in the humidity and with a mask sometimes it’s not a pretty picture.
Just clicked on your link and bought it! I had 10.00 off too in my basket so I got it for 30.00! Thanks for the recommendation you’ve never done me wrong ♥️
New subscriber. Came for the Nars review, subscribed for the ivf. I’m not sure your journey and where u are with that yet. As someone who did ivf 5 times with 4 miscarriages I know how hard that could be. We have a beautiful miracle baby girl born 2019. Just wanted to send good vibes, prayers, and positivity!
Loved the three day test. I also loved that you seen if this foundation could take a punch. I live in Kansas and the heat can kill a foundation quick so I’m impressed. But like you the price makes me balk a little. I have a hard time paying that much but this one seems worth it.
Leighann no one has ever done a video for woman who really cant wear liquid foundation. I have oily skin and bigger pores and have never been able to wear liquid foundation! Ive tried many kinds and mant times. It always looks awful! So im hoping i can count on you to do some powder foundations and other suggestions. Please and thank you! Love you so much!!
So happy for this in depth review! I've been wanting to replace my double wear because it's just too heavy sometimes. Would also like to point out that you get 0.5oz more in the nars than you do in the double wear!
Dewy is not for me either. I was watching a chemist talking about make up. I think her name is Angie Burg. She said mica is oil soluable. I was like one more reason to not try dewy products. My oil would just dissolve that stuff and break it up. Makes sense when I say my oil comes through and eats foundation. It literally might be! I really want to try this foundation! Even though $40 is expensive. But it's an oz and a half of product.
Oily skin and Texas heat here (Austin has had really high humidity, but not like Houston). L'oreal Fresh Ware and Revlon Colorstay are the only things that stick to my skin from the drugstore 🍪
Was waiting on this from your vlog!!! I also live in Dallas and have oily skin. Although I’m still working from home, I am super interested in trying this!
One thing you should consider about the price is that with this NARS you get 1.5 oz vs 1 oz of most other foundations including the double wear. So it’s actually a really good value! (45 ml vs 30 ml)
..Rewatching older videos because I’m bored but unrelated question, could you look into doing a all day wear test wearing a full face of Catrice makeup? It’s SUPER affordable and I would love your opinion on it. Especially the one minute face perfector
Revlon Colorstay foundation for combo/oily skin is my current favorite! I have a lot of dark spots from acne and it covers them really well - it goes on nicely and is buildable for any trouble areas. I don't use primer and rarely use powder (doesn't seem to respond great to my skin idk) but I don't find that I get that oily by end of day with this foundation
I don't like dewy either, and I'm a normal skin type. I don't own a highlighter, nor will I ever. I like to keep it matte!!😉 Love this, and all your videos Leigh Ann💜
I have no interest in this foundation, I'm so dry like the desert, but I watch anything you make!! I saw another review of this and it's getting great reviews. My all time favorite foundation is Nars sheer glow.
Leighann I absolutely agree with your opinions on this foundation.. Especially for how it wears in our Texas heat. I love love this foundation and like you I wish the price point was a little better / less. Still sending prayers to you and the family 💖🤗
Amazing review! I’m excited to try this one out. $40 is a lot for a foundation, but you do get 1.5 oz of product, so really it’s only about $27/oz, which is more of a mid range price point 🙂
I love multiple day wear tests because when I do wear foundation I dont want to have to baby it every single time, I want to see what it looks like against naps, doggie cuddles, sweat etc. Its more realistic that way.
Yaaaas to the no dewy look! Thought - I wonder if the increased breaking down was because you used less product than Day 1? You've almost got me convinced I need this product, lol. I would be interested in seeing a side by side wear test of this one and Estee Lauder or i think someone mentioned Revlon ColorStay.
You asked on IG which foundation we want reviewed and I was going to comment with this one 😂. Would love to see your thoughts on the Rare beauty one. So far everyone seems to love it
