New Neopets Mobile Site Review | Neopets in 2021 

I think their main concern should be converting all the maps fully and updating them for modern audiences. The website is so empty now without having visuals of where you’re going and what you’re doing.

Imagine how amazing a full remake with some cash behind it would be. Like just remake the whole site to be slick and modern. All the people like me who played neopets back in the day might come back.

Honestly, I'm mostly just upset the movie theater is probably not gonna get updated for a long time if ever. That was a free meal for your Neopets every day! It was a nice additional part of caretaking that supplemented jelly, omelettes, and whatever other stuff I got from dailies.

personally i hate that we cant see our pets stats while exploring and stuff. i loved the sidebar where we could see our pet everything ab their current status!!

Is it really Neopets if parts of the site weren't forever locked in a perpetual time stasis?

The games room feels so empty and depressing now, used to feel like there were thousands of games to play. Some of my personal faves were Web of Vernax, Imperial Exam, Meerca Chase, Faerie Cloud Racers, Mootix Drop, Meepit Juice Break, and Snowmuncher. It's sad to think I might never be able to play them again. I like the games that are still on the site, Hasee Bounce was really fun, Kass Basher is iconic, and of course Fashion Fever (I am so good at this game, I always get a perfect score). But they don't feel as good to play anymore. Igloo Garage Sale lags so much that when I submit a score, the game thinks I'm cheating so it doesn't give me any points. And I keep forgetting how to switch between the classic and beta versions of the site....I do feel bad for the team, they were probably rushing to make a new Neopets that worked before Flash died. On the bright side, it does look like they're adding some more games now.

I played neopets as a kid and randomly remembered it. I made a new account but with flash dead I can't even watch the tutorial. Guess neopets will have to stay a nostalgic memory for me.

probably a weird thing to notice, but the combo of neopets and the ffx 'silence before the storm' track BLASTED me back to 2003 when i remember so many people had that midi track playing on their petpage 😭 💕

I rejoined today after being a previous member of 17 years(I don’t know my old account log-in Information unfortunately nor the old emails lol). Thought I lucked out hard with getting a pirate eyrie morphing potion just to see they’re easily bought for 2400 neopoints! That use to be one of the pricey brushes lol. My current goal is a baby eyrie and the lab ray set again but I can’t even find a baby paint brush to see how much I’d need to be saving 😂

this video had me getting into neopets again. and i gotta say, turmac roll is janky as all hell. you don't gain nearly as much speed, berry hitboxes are smaller, and its easier to get caught by the stumps. additionally things like jumping off of the tops of hills, bouncing high, coming down and bouncing really don't work and are more difficult to pull off. it was one of my favorite games and its sooo sucky now.

I actually am able to score about 13xx, sometimes 14xx on Kass Basher, resulting in approximately 16xx neopoints per game :D It's one of my main sources of income! But the difficulty reset system is so annoying! Love this review btw!

Yeea I love that you uploaded another video! Im really sad about the games.. oh well we will see where they take the beta version, hopefully it'll live up to our expectations. Since the switch I havent had a lot of motivation to play yet. Maybe it will come with time because when the previous version launched it took me a few years to get used to it tbh.. Anyway thanks for the video it was very informative and fun to watch☺️

loveee the intro haha.. but they should make an app for games only. like, I know that probably costs too much to actually do BUT it would be cool. (it would also be cooler if there was an app for everything though, but I know that's not realistic because of time/money/etc.)

in all seriousness i agree with your thoughts on the beta, i like a lot of things and i dislike a lot of things. Games were never really a bother tho because I never played them. And art gallery is still functional so im happy!! They also unbanned lgbt topics on the forums and theres gonna be a pride day AG on the 12th of feb!

Yay new video! This is definately a very odd transition period for Neopia...im still playing my dailies but other than that I kinda have a "wait and see" attitude about it. Updates like the sdb and gallery links for beta give me hope! I started playing Icepets in the meantime and I LOVE it, you should make a video on it I think you would really like it too!!

Hasee Bounce is literally unplayable on PC, like who thought it'd be a good idea to change the controls from arrow keys / WASD to your cursor?? It kind of makes sense on mobile, though they could've totally just added buttons to move your Hasee left or right.

Thank you for uploading this, spares me the pain of finding out more and more dissapointments myself. There are absolutely a few pro's to it, just not enough to keep me hooked anymore. Do still believe in TNT being able to make something good, so I'll be only feeding my pets (don't forget to feed your pets ya'll) and patiently wait for the good updates.

I feel like they've had months to think about this and work out a plan, and it's still such a mess :x

OMG so happy you made this! I've also been trying to record a playing Neo video for my channel but deleted every video I recorded because I felt I was complaining too much. I so agree, if they can make our SDB a better experience I WILL YAY!

A problem I had is that I bought some clothes from a shop (and spent quite a bit on them) and then I went to my inventory and they just... weren't there. I checked everywhere; safety deposit box, closet, inventory, and they are nowhere to be found. Feels kinda bad because there's no way for me to get the money back that I spent :/

I just started a new account recently and the games are still awful. Most everything is an invalid session and getting Neopoints without understanding or being able to participate in the economy is like... impossible, seemingly. Kass Basher actually doesn't let me submit scores, meaning I can't keep progress if I do make it to medium or hard. I feel sooo stuck with the game.

When the battledome gets fixed I'll be happy... We are going onto 10 years of it just being utterly unplayable for 2 player. Also the reworked abilities are just absolutely broken.

as someone who never plays the games I had no idea they were that bad! dang that really sucks :c but I definieltey agree that the more ~mobile~ they go the more I get worried b/c I never and probably will never prefer to play on my phone. we'll see I guess!

For Fashion Fever, you have to click at least two items and close the drawer before it'll allow you to send your score. That said, there is an item the game doesn't like, so if you selet it, you'll still get the message (off top of my head, I cannot recall what that item is, but I think it's one of the hats).

I have an ogrin - for customization - when I go to the page, it’s face doesn’t load. So the rest of it does...just no face....I got the cheat golden trophy but on mobile that was a giant pain in the butt. I play on my tablet a lot of the time and don’t have a laptop - all the games I love, I can’t currently play. We have like 5 (6 maybe) games (I understand things aren’t finished being converted and it does take time tho!) so because I cannot play the games I love, I don’t really play them. I love the new menu showing all your pets (we can have 6 pets now? Since when? When I was a kid it was 4 - so that’s a bonus!) but they said they are working on making it so if your pet has a Petpet - the Petpet will be shown too (not sure when that drops tho)

Kass Basher also doesn't retain the difficulties you've unlocked anymore. I reached hard but the next time I played it medium and hard were locked again.

I remember I used to be so good at this one game where you had to run through a house as an Usul and collecting stuff that I actually got a trophy. Now, I can't remember my username.

Not sure if I want to join neopets right now. It was awesome when it was good and I had so many fun memories. I need a plot though to hold my attention and give me a reason to plat those classic games and train my neopets all over again. A plot would get me to join instantly. But since their isn't one and their hasn't been a new one in a very long time, I think I'm better off with the rpg's and games I currently play right now.

It's been years and nothing has changed. Sad

Restocking is nice still, I'm glad barely anything changed with it or else I probably would have quit.

All the games I liked are in the Game Graveyard. I can at least still download the SWFs. Aww... It seems not all of them. :(

They're probably focusing on mobile because a lot of kids don't even own computers anymore, just mobile devices. Which is understandable, they want their main target audience to play rather than veterans. But it still sucks.

Im more interested in the fact that neopets is still thing at all rather than it being with flash or not lol

It means a few games i liked; Shoryu bubbles( where you saved babies with bubbles, the mine game where you had to saved babies, the spelling game where peoples shout words and you let them enter if it's spelled correctly or refuse if they spell it wrong, the fairies bubbles game; they are all gone? That's not fun for the fans of thoses games ;(

I was going to make a comment stating that a full MMORPG Neopets game would be the best bet to update the IP, BUT, I was under the impression that Viacom still owned it. After looking it up and learning it isn't, and is instead owned by a company that itself was bought by a Chinese company.....eeeeeeuuuuggghhhhhyyyeeeaaahhh.....nvm it's doomed.

Invalid session happens when you join a game and leave in a second. Just stay on the game and maybe dress up tor like less than 30 seconds and you shoul be fine
