Greetings Brother. Your forces are well painted. A little disappointed in your fielding of a daemon. But we field Warp Talons and they are close enough to the things. Looking forward to more content. Kill until killed.
Background noise, he’s also hosting an event there at Element Games for Thanatos so he only has limited time to record the batrep. It was specifically mentioned for those reasons
For narrative purposes I think this operation from the Mordin 50th Rifles would be referred to as "Move to contact." Patrols are just a routine presence mission. If you are going out knowing there is an enemy and prepared to fight but without a good tactical picture of that enemy's force or objectives your "moving to contact." Basically you are learning about the enemy by finding them and shooting at them to see what happens.
I was all in for longer battle reports, and didn't like the earlier short ones, but this was paced perfectly. I may be a convert to shorter battle reports.
When I saw it was Night Lords playing Mordian Glory, I thought, "For sure this guy will play the themed detachment, I will finally get to see Dread Talons.". Its still a well painted army, and a great game.
quick note, in regards to the Master of Executions vs Straken, Straken isn't T4, he's T3, and even if he was then you are meant to use the bodyguard unit's toughness and then allocate the attacks before making a save. That said, still a very entertaining battle!
How fascinating would guardsmen lore have been had they wrote that the Imperium cloned Solar Macharius (perhaps discovered by a warp-lost Gaunt’s Ghost, now returned to the era indomitus), and now he is fighting alongside primarchs and Ursula Creed, as opposed to Solar Leontus
How come the cyclops can investigate signals? They aren't eligible to shoot since they have no guns, and eligibility to shoot is a requirement for signals.
