Just a thought, but could there have "originally" been different specializations of people/units that would be rappa, others suppa, other kamari, etc. doing each their own thing, and over time this would have all merged into one type of people: shinobi?
@@AntonyCummins Also, why is it that the "random dudes assigned to today's kamari duty" would be the worst option? Knowledge/confirmation of how it actually was is still knowledge, isn't it? Or is it that you suspect it could be "today's duty lucky draw" for this clan/in this doc, but that there specialized people elsewhere and your doc could not help you find more about it??
Every line regiment has a recce platoon, they are the top blokes in the regiment, specially trained (regimental shinobi) Then there are elite forces Para's and booties they have pathfinders and recce elements, top blokes in the reg/corps, (next level ninja) then special forces have their specialisations, including Special Reconnaissance regiment etc. (Super shinobi) it sort of makes Sense. They may have done the same.
