I'm giggling as you read the description, 'cause they aren't mentioning the cheesy pirate ship tour boat that is always in this lake! :P It's a beautiful region and I miss the years I spent living with Mount Fuji visible from my apartment door outside Tokyo!
You are quickly becoming one of my favorite content creators! Your looks are always so gorgeous and I feel we have very similar tastes. Definitely going to be picking up this one from nomad!
😮Ohhh it's beautiful!!! I absolutely love the color choices!!! This palette is easy to use for fair skin and I love the choice of undertones. You can easily do simple cool and warm looks that are not super colourful or get creative. Great choices for the blues too... Soft and muted.
The second look was my favorite of the two today. ❤ This color story is really hitting the mark for me. I really enjoy reds with yellows and blues with yellows too.
The Cover of the Fuji Five Lakes Palette is beautiful. I like that they're a charitable company. The blues on you are just gorgeous. The Luminous shadow topper makes the look. Wow. Fantastic 2nd look. I'm not sure which I like better. Both are stunning. Enjoy!❤️❤️🩵💙😘
This color story is slightly reminiscent of Nomad's Whistler Snow Lodge palette, but with lighter, crisper tones. I love the Japanese theme of this Fuji Five Lakes. Both looks came out gorgeous. I appreciate that your beautiful looks are always so different using the same palette :)
This brand does such an amazing job with their themes and color stories 🤩🤩🤩 beautiful looks! The Hudson Valley palette as an Albany/Upstate girl is REALLY calling my name, sad it's discontinued 😢
I love Japan and I’m obsessed with Mount Fuji 🤩 knew I had to have it even before they showed the full color story (recognized it immediately when they shared the first sneak peek). Was very pleased to see the color story is soo pretty 😍
😮❤ You make everything look sooooo pretty! I'm waiting for Nomad to come out with like a purpley goth palette or something with lavender in it without brites or greens. I'm too picky, but I know what I want!
Grateful for the side by side and ratio comparison with Hudson valley. I have skipped on Hudson valley because of the greens/grays (?), will be a similar reason for skipping the Fuji one unfortunately. I have contemplated buying the red singles from Hudson valley. Always on the hunt for the truest red
This is pretty but not for me as the reds and yellows are colors I simply don't wear. But I like the looks you did, I really appreciate seeing colorful looks that are softer. I have watched or skimmed through a lot of the videos already up on this palette and some of the looks are so aggressive. But I am probably in the minority. I really like the soft sparkly pink shade though. Good video.
I'm so torn on this palette. I don't NEED it, but I WANT it. And since I usually de-pan my palettes and don't keep the packaging, that's lost on me. :( But those kind of greyed out blues are stunning... and I might finally try some "warm" looks!
I'm not a "blue" gal, but it does look beautiful on you, Rachel. That HUDSON VALLEY palette is really pretty; any chance it gets restocked for fall????? ❤❤❤
Hoei is pronounced "hoh-eyh", the "eyh" being like the Canadian "eh" or saying the letter "A". Jp vowels in romanized spelling are pronounced like Spanish vowels, if that helps. 🤓 Very fun color story. I can see some color combos that remind me of some Jp fabric prints. But this palette isn't for my undertone. I love blurple, royal, and indigo blues, but not steely blues. Hudson Valley works much better for me. 🍁🌾🍂
This might be my favorite packing by nomad besides the Hudson River palette. It’s beautiful but I don’t wear red eyeshadow it never looks good on me so I’ll pass plus I already have those shades in my collection.😊
I like the packaging but not the colourstory! I think they put a lot of those yellow golds in their palettes which put me off (with maybe the exception of the Haunted USA palette). The blue look tht you did was stunning 💙
Definitely an easy pass. The reds all are too similar and it’s just not really wearable for me. Additionally I have all those shades in places like the old BH Naughty palette etc. The packaging is beautiful. The color story is such a let down.
How do you know if you need glitter glue or not before a shimmer shade? What makes you decide to use it vs just use the shimmer, or shimmer and spray with setting spray?
Good question! I only use spray when I’m using a brush to apply my shimmers, which isn’t often. If a shadow is really emollient, I prefer to not use a glitter primer because it makes the base even more emollient and then I’m prone to creasing. But if the shadow is a little drier/flakier/a standard shimmer, I like to use the glitter primer to either avoid fallout or to make the shimmer pop if it needs it. I hope that explaination helps!
