Y’all the section where I talked about tele strips somehow got deleted 😩 but basically know the rhythms that mean your patient might be in trouble -Asystole, V-fib, A-fib, SVT etc. Typically most hospitals have someone monitoring the unit but it’s still good to keep an eye on your own.

Yep. I think the cardio thoracic nurses might work in the cath lab. I’m not sure.

Ive been a nurse for >15 years and i will be starting my 1st hospital job (i know.. i know..) since i became a nurse in tele 1. Any advise? Im scared and anxious that im gonna look stupid, i still cant read the ekg rythms and i feel like i wont be able to keep up

Difficult to be the only male nurse so far lol but im on my 3rd week of orientation which is kinda long in my opinion, but im using that to learn the ropes/protocols etc etc. ill be signing up for ecg class soon because i really want to re-learn the pathophysiology/physiology that i learned from school. How about you? Hows the hospital life treating you?

Now you know you’re not useless lol stop beating yourself up. Enjoy being on orientation and learning bc once you are by yourself the crutch is gone. You having experience is half the battle. You got this 💪🏾
