I wish proshops like this were more common in the US, but I think the market is just too saturated, every gun store has optics stocked along with all other gun accessories.

Another vote for Primary Arms fixed 3X. Excellent and can be used for CQB out to 300+ yards. Also, for non-magnified the Vortex Sparc2 is really good. Looking forward to your review! Thanks!

Hey! Question, do you care about your iron sights not cowitnessing with your optic? I'm looking to buy a larger optic like the Holosun 510c and putting it on ultimak rail, but idk if it's going to cowitness and how I feel about it. Just need another opinion.

I have the Primary Arms micro on my AK with the same Texas Weapon Systems dust cover that you have and I love that site. Long battery life and durable and keeps the weight down. I went from an Eotech 512 to that

I always use a Dual-purpose purpose sight ( Red Dot sight on top and ACOG scope beneath) for my AK rifle when I go to the range. Is perfect for close-quarters, median range, and long-range shooting.

The solar panel on Holosun red dots are legit. First day I got my 403C I didn't even bother putting the battery in, the lights in my house were enough to power it.

I think it's cool that you picked the Sightmark Wolverine for the test, I briefly owned one and was impressed with it. The others are solid as well.

Primary arms has a etched acss dot right I'd get that one no battery needed.

I got a Sightmark for my shotgun, can't wait to try it out, since having iron sites or a ghost ring installed both required $$ and more work, the site and a rail was a cheaper option.

Great video and glad to see you will be able to test these various options some of which I haven't heard of, but would like to see the results of the overseas options like the Russian and Korean options.

I have a Aimpoint Micro H2, 2 MOA on my Vz58 and after a year I can not complain about anything. Several times a fully charged rifle fell from a height of one meter to the concrete floor directly on the optics and did not notice any damage.

I’ve always like the look of a small mini red dot on my AK.

MAC has done a video about the Di optics EG1 and highly recommends it. They look very interesting and durable

Mepro M5 -- As someone who also used EoTech's for awhile, I'd say if you go with Mepro you're not going to have to re-train your eyes since it has a similar window and footprint on your rifle but has advanced features like an auto sleep/wake function and a more common battery (AA is available everywhere). Plus, if you want robust it's hard to ignore what the Israeli armed forces use... Robustness and familiar layout as your old EoTech seems to make it a great fit

I really would like to see some cold weather testing on the sights.

Just go with the 510c if you insist on a red dot. It can run without a battery in super capacitor mode which is charged by the solar panel. That's complete darkness. Along with bright sun Didn't even realize my battery wasn't installed for a solid few days. Currently installef on an attero rail mount on my Hungarian sa85m. Another suggestion is the primary arms 2x. I currently installed on my arsenal slr107. Light weight with enough magnification to hit out to 400 ( with my eyes. 9hole can do 500). And low magnification enough with the acss donut to use for cqb.

I lean toward the Holosun models, but have you looked at a Trijicon MRO? I know some guys that used them on AK's and liked them but I haven't had hands on time with one yet.

look into the holosun 503c or gu. especially coming from an eotech! very similar reticle

holosun all the way. all aimpoint aftermarket parts fit like QD's etc... the 2 moa dot is clear and sharp. it passed all the torture tests like aimpoint did

I have only shot a couple of times with any kind of optic, usually just shoot iron sights. I wouldn't mind trying something out, I just don't have much experience with them. I like the look of that Russian one, and that futuristic sight mark looked nice too.

Really exciting to see all these quality optics coming to market; love aimpoint but they needs some actual competition.

Did you have opportunity to try Aimpoint red dot sights?They are maybe best red dot sight you can buy, they are coming from Sweden.

I put a Vortex 3x Spitfire on my AR. I love it so far. I'm digging the Holosun. The Russian optic seems interesting too.

I was going to get the 1P87 but meprolight foresight D7 seems way to damn good to pass up for around the same price .

Consider battery life. But I'd pick the DI optical for sure. If you went the affordable route I would get a different Holosun. 503 with the acss.

I got a good suggestion to eotech if this is a real problem. 👍 You probably had a burnt out tube. I'd probably go with the Korean DL optical on your end but in America most likely replacing an eotech would be harder outside versus inside with liability.

the Holosun is certainly a good option, but why not a cobra sight, fits the AK really well.

Not surprised with EoTech. Especially after the DOD debocle.

I run an Aimpoint Pro with an RS Regulate mount and it is bombproof. Not the lightest setup, but super robust.

PK1 OBZOR or bust. Jokes, HOLOSUN HS503G, HS403GL or HS403B are very reliable (see torture tests) and have great reticles (503G ACSS - 403B red dot) - also they are less expensive than an aimpoint. You could also go with the Primary Arms MD (microdot).

I'm shopping for a Holosun for my SGL-21.

i have a vomz pilad 1x24, love the looks and fact thats its made in russia. super durable, nice design and buttons. BUT the brightness is just not enough, it gets washed out even shooting under a covered bench position at my local range. for a dusk optic or low light area its amazing. my holosuns have been doing exactly what i need

the Holosun 503c is the one you want, check it out. improved sensors that turns optic on when you touch your riffle. The battery life last forever not to mention the solar panels.
