@@endezeichengrimm there is an app called telegram and that's where these scammers want you to go. You know when they ask for money that you are being scammed.
hey guys! how do you place your mics to the cabinets? sm7b and sm57 right? where on the speaker cone do you guys like to put them? I really like your recordings and am trying to do something similar at home, thank you!
I think you can always tell when it's the last video recording of the day. I can't imagine how crazy things would get if these guys ran a QVC style live show.
It was actually the first video of the day... Well, actually the second one. We shot one in the Guitar Gallery of the new Made 2 Measure Les Pauls for the Andertons instagram. :-)
Really enjoyed this vid and didn’t think I’d like these pedals at all. I was wrong. Probably a niche market but there was something deliciously idiosyncratic about all of them (especially the distortion). By the way, a video for a Krautrock inspired rig would be marvelous. Can, Neu, Amon Düül II, Popol Vuh, Faust, etc created some of the maddest music of the 70s. Insane but wonderful.
Great video as usual. Pete was in rare form, as was Lee. I just have to say that if you do not release the outtakes of this video you will be doing a very grievous diservous to your subscribers. WE NEED TO SEE THEM!
Alot of repair shops have all these schematics organised. Internet fora are really strong in digitizing these analog libraries. My dad had like a whole wall with these electronic schematics.
They're about the same size as a couple of their foot switchers, so it's not that unexpected. Those enclosures seem thick enough to survive being run over by a tank.
Don't worry though, didn't Lee say at the beginning that he found things sounded better when it was just the guitar plugged directly into the amp, completely bypassing the pedal board? Smart for a GUITAR STORE to suggest the BEST option is to purchase ONE GUITAR, ONE AMP, and ONE CABLE!
The pedal housings were so huge in the old days because, without a pedalboard heavy enough to keep the pedals in place, the pedals needed to be heavy enough to not scoot around when the player pressed the buttons with the pedals set directly on a stage or floor.
The reason pedals were huge, was because the components were huge. The capacitors were more than twice the size of today, as was various other components.
There was just very little demand for small pedals as most players used very few pedals. Plus pedal boards were generally custom made/DIY, so were built to suit the choice of pedals rather than the other way around like it is today. Plenty of big old pedals are not necessarily heavy, EHX is the most common example.
@@charmandrews yeah, but no one had small enclosures in the very early days of guitar pedals. Perhaps the big, heavy pedals were inspired by the foitpedals used in industry, nothing like a big bulletproof pedal to survive constant use in a factory.
I really enjoy these 2 together. This show has Improved dramatically without That Zany-Chapper. Danish Pete is always-awesome & Lee has really improved on his guitar playing & presentation skills. This has-become: One of my Go-To Gear Shows. oNe LovE from NYC
Was suddenly at a Day on the Green show back in the 70's during that last segment. lol One point worth mentioning was the tone kicked ass when all three were on together.
You guys would love Russ Pahl. Right up y’all’s alley. Super inventive steel player in Nashville and builds a lot of his own guitars and winds his own pickups for them
Gotta love orange, I thought they'd stop the bs after selling a 3 knob amp for $3200 (no cab) but we're back again! this time including a single knob...phase pedal...in orange...and it's 2.5x the price of a phase 90...what a steal!
Orange does distortion really well usually- never played with this pedal but, if it's like their amps- I'm going to like it. The compressor- meh, not that impressed with it tbh. The phaser is cool but- I don't use the effect enough to warrant buying one. I want one of the multi effect modulation pedals that does all of it- flanger, phaser, doubler, etc. Makes it much more economical and takes up way less room, I don't have to worry about supplying power to a bunch of different pedals.
Kraut-rocking (12.00), Noun: German-inspired doom. As in, "Mrs Chodomley-Warner and I shall be absent from high tea this afternoon, Vicar. We're orf Kraut-rocking with Cuthbert and Jeremy".....Anderton's RU-vid gold :)
Thanks for another great video. Would you guys ever consider putting out tabs for some of the riffs you play during these? I need to learn that lick Pete plays around 5:26...
Please release Pete and Lee “uncut” without all the blurred out / blipped out filth. You could even sell it out the back of Andertons on a dodgy bootleg VHS for £20 a pop - we’ll pre-order 10 😉😎
The large size isn't really a problem due to the cable top loading. So you can scrunch them together on the board! But I have a question about the "sustain" pedal. In the US it's $249. But the Orange Kongpressor is only $155. What gives with that? From what I can see, the Kongpressor is a MUCH more capable pedal and it also features optical compression.
@@Newnodrogbob Very good point. That's got to be the difference isn't it? I've looked but can't find any indication of where the Kongpressor is made. The Sustain does seem to be made in the UK.
@@allanflippin2453 I’m completely ignorant of the specs etc. but I’m assuming that’s it. I don’t think these are being marketed as the best bang for your buck. I think they’re going for retro cool novelty, and assuming that folks will pay a premium for that.
The pedals sounded great but this video reminds me of teenage friends going back to one of their parents’ houses stoned off their faces and trying to hold it together during the brief conversation with the adults that goes on just a bit too long. 😂
I have a new pedal idea, one that constant chugs an open note of your choosing w a drop tune and a treadle pedal like a wah but to vary the chug speed instead. This way all the drop tune nu dethmetal kids can just play the fills between the chugs w half the effort!
They all sounded great, though the distortion just sounded like a Rat clone. However, the Phaser had a lot of versatility for a one knober. Univibe to phaser to a Leslie. I bet the JHS show will love to get their hands on these.
I like these pedals. So here is my approach.... I will not by the latest APPLE which will save me 1400 bucks. Then I will buy 3 ORANGE Pedals instead so I have still a plus of 800 bucks which I can invest on a reasonably priced guitar and still end up neutral. Plus the energy bilance will still be better compared to the APPLE product I guess. ...or is this like comparing APPLES to ORANGES ???
Ha, fancy new Orange pedals ... big fancy Orange rig in the corner .... running through a Marshall and Soldano. Great pedals, more to add to the if and when list. Keep up the great videos.
