During the Trump presidency, we saw democracy in action with a supercharged economy with full employment at 33.3% and black unemployment at historically low levels. Even the Wall Street Journal was forced to admit that lower income Americans were receiving a higher percentage of wage increase that upper-class Americans. The non-partisan EIA also reported that during the Trump administration America was independent and the leading supplier of energy. At the end of the Trump presidency we were moving forward with an 8% rate of growth and a 1.4% rate of inflation according to, the bureau of labor records at the time.

@@t.r.campbell6585 First, the economy is not all of Democracy. Trump inherited a good economy. The job creation, small business opening, stock are at historic highs under Biden. And employment at historical lows under Biden. Democracy is more than money. Women truly have a two tier level of freedom depending on where they live. Trump's to consolidate power to himself is against the constitution. (See project 2025 for details.) Trump's 2020 rejection of election result was undemocratic. Trump's consistent on our courts weaken democracy. Trump's willingness to work big to receive a billion dollars in return tax cuts and allowinfmg them to settm the agenda is undemocratic. Trump cult of voters, SC, and Republican part obedient to a man before the constitution is authoritarian. . .

I have yet to see trump supporters who are able to articulate how/why trump is the right guy for the job. It's always "Build the wall"; "immigration" and general hate for anyone who doesn't think like they do. To me, they do not show themselves as rational. Biden supporters, to me, are not enraged or filled with hate. They are better educated and rational. That may be the media that I watch, but I am also a rational, intelligent person. I have watched both sides and one always seems desperate and negative, and it is not the Biden side.

As desirable as it would be to reign in extremisn and lower the the heat of polarization, I haven't seen anything put in place in practical terms besides ridiculous both sideism and cosying up to fascism. That's what Trumpism is! That cannot be the way. By the way, I admired Ali greatly, but politically he wasn't very astute.
