I've got a feeling most/all of these minis will be given the option to be either standard Rokkit-launching ranged anti-tank specialists OR to be given Tankhammers to make them heavy melee specialists instead (KT normally has specialist roles assigned to each team, so there are certain limits there). I think there will be an updated Datasheet for Tankbustas in 40k, so I'd definitely wait until that is clarified before building them (or just get 2 sets and have 1 melee and 1 ranged squad).😊
Well we got them. The options part gives me hope and you can see some of the slight different options in the very last picture. One of the Orks is holding a spare rocket instead of a clinched fist, the double fist guy is holding a hammer one handed and I see three different heads. Overall I like the sculpts, but I'm still not sure how I feel about the size of the models or the squad. :/ Every other kill team available right now is 10 plus miniatures. Kommandos for example were 10, plus a bomb squig and a grot. For 40K I hope that you can equip them all with rocket launchers (Regardless of how they look) or all with hammers as that just makes life easier. It's going to be very interesting to see how this impacts tankbustas as we know them. I guess we don't have a chance of the unit going to legends now unless the new unit gets a different name.
The new orks are definitely cool! But it’s really cool to have new ratlings they have been missing from 40k for such a long time ! And orks have new fings ta krump
I *love* the new sculpts! These are amazing! I did notice that the Boyz are on 32mm and the Nob is on a 40mm base. It makes me wonder if the Nob is more like a Meganob, or if all Nobz are going to move to 40mm? Remember that Ufthak Blackhawk was released on a 50mm base and a generic Warboss datasheet...
Very differently esthetically from the current / past tankbustas. Like a mix between those and 'ardboyz. Reminds me a bit of what they did with beastsnaggas, who invoke feral orks, cyborks and scarboyz all in one. I'm not gonna get my hopes up, but I think it would be mad cool if you could field these entirely with melee weapons, allowing them to fill that gap the 'ard boyz of old have left.
I'm thinking the 40k rules for these will be one dual kit that builds either Tankbustas, who all have rokkit launchers, or Breaka Boyz, who all have melee weapons, (maybe both can take the tank hammer so the old tankbustas are still legal) with the boss nob being a separate leader, hence the 40mm base on him, and would also have the numbers make sense. The boy with the tank hammer does have a tank tread segment incorporated into his chest armor but its behind his arms and a little hard to make out. I will miss the old leather gear and vehicle scrap but i think the new ones got more than enough of their own thing going on to make up for it, with those rad goggles and all. Bringing the 'ard boy look back with the breaka boyz alongside was a good direction too I think, i reckon the tankhammer will get a lot more appreciation being part of a melee unit than being the odd one out in a ranged one. I think the thing I'm most excited for in this kit is the heads, looking like a lot of fun variety between the 5 main ones shown and the additional 5 variationw they sprinkled in in the reveal video. Very stoked to see the sprues, especially for the nob since the article mentions all the orks have weapon options but they've only shown one version of the nob so far. Also as far as scale it seems like while they're sorta shaped like nobs they're still only as tall as the new boyz and beastsnagga boyz, with only the boss nob being actually nob sized
It'd be So Dumb if they Went to the Effort of Making New Models and no New Rules and they Need to Make New 40K Rules to Support them. The Kommandos you just Covered Got 40K Rules and They're a Kill Team Unit.
@@6StevoWhen they Get Released! As an Ork Fan How Would we Feel if there's an Awesome new Model Set on the Shelf of an Old but Beloved Unit that Desperately Needed an Update, That Was Crying Out in the Void for it but There's No Point in Getting them and Building and Painting them to Put in you're Blossoming Army when they're only Playable with the Crap Old 10th Rules? The New Boss Nob Needs to be Able to Lead them in Mobs of 10 Like Every Other Orky Unit and a Point Drop to Start.
"All I'm gonna say is dat wun uv dem boyz better 'ave a tank-sized kan-opener on da back-end uv dere rokkitlauncha! _WAAAGH!!"_ ~Gobstoppa da Evalastin'
Waaagh! Looking forward to seeing the new Orks when more comes out about them. A nice up-gunned/armoured unit. The unit size is an interesting one at 6 Boyz, and not too sure about the base size (looks to be 40mm) - when given a 40k dataslate I wonder if they'll replace tankbustas all together this ed or will be a different unit with 'tankbustas' going all together next ed? One thing I do hope for though, no fixed weapon load outs!
Yeah I reckon they will be a new option to be fielded as a melee over range tank buster. I’m very mixed in getting them. I’ve got a number of older tank busters and custom built ones. So not sure if I would convert a few of those into these guys. They do look good though and if they do come with a large mix of spare parts then it could tip my hand in getting them.
@@6Stevo it definitely hurt when they dropped the TB squad size down, so got plenty of figures spare to convert up. So a bit of a “win win” if they did give us a new unit to play with.
They're so damn cool!! I'm going to ask for them for Christmas lol. Normally with boxes that are half orks half something else I don't care about the something else but the ratlings are really nice too
Not sure what i make of these honestly, will wait to see their rules and what load out (hopefully loadouts) they get before making my mind up. Good to see us getting new ladz in though, WAAAAAAAAGGHHH!!!
Oh I’m definitely going to wait I can’t really afford all that plus I’m quickly running outta space definitely interested in getting my hands on those new orks though
I've said it elsewhere already and I'll say it again here. Despite the fact that the new models look fantastic, I will be withholding any and all hype for them until I see the full kit and 40k rules. The kit coming out as a Kill Team kit gives me some hope, but that's not stopping GW from doing something stupid anyway.
feckin' hell ! these are nice - I wasn't expecting anything for Orktober and then we get these !! It's time to bid those old resin Tankbustas a fond farewell, I will give a tiny prayer to them today and then play a sad violin tune. Anyone reckon that these Tankbustas will always be this Kill Team box exclusive or will they be sold separately for Ork fans only ?
They look fine, but idk apart from the Ghazghkull model which is incredible i dont think they've managed to re-capture that early 2000's-2018ish era of ork design. Am I wrong 6+ Stevo??
Yeah but the *'500* | Internal Server Error.' message was such a cleaner, more-informative design choice over the usual GW mess of menus and sub-menus, poor search results, and endless pictures of miniatures. I think it was a vast improvement--simple, elegant and well-designed. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I’ll personally wait on getting these Wreckas, cause I don’t really want any of the other stuff in the set despite it all looking good, I just want the Orks cause I don’t play Kill Team anymore since I’ve had some very bad experiences with past editions of Kill Team.
Mixed feelings about this, they look really nice. But it feels my latest work of kit-bashing and priming two squads of tankbusta's was all for nothing. But the new models do look lovely
Off the top of my head I can't remember all of them. But I do know that, if using Legends datasheets, you can join a Big Mek with kff to them. This works nicely with the inv save from shooting and the re-rolls of 1.
Those rokkits either gotta have S12 or Anti-vehicle +4 (or even +5) or else these things are gonna be useless against most armor. Thats been my biggest issue with the current tankbustas. I dont care about the points, but they gotta have something better to be worth the points cost. I wonder if these gitz are also a sign that we might get 'Ardboyz again.
It is also possible these guys aren’t actually Tankbustas, but rather Tankbusta Nobz for 40k. Cause with all that heavy armor, and with the article saying these Boyz are as tough as Space Marines, it’s possible that we’re getting a variant of Tankbustas which I personally wouldn’t be opposed to.
@@6Stevo Thats what Ork players do, make our own. Now I've noticed basing details around their feet .. thats annoying and screws with themed basing. Another disappointing Orktober from Geedub.
Not a fan. They look like bad conversions & the boss is just a reposed latest style Mek. GW should go back to older style Orks IMO. I’d probably chop bits off them & convert nobs.
