“Five trumpets do the job of one, We all just blockin’ the street! Half the band, isn’t with the band, we all just blockin’ the street! One of us dropped a contact lens, so it’s back to blockin’ the street! We won’t stop blockin’ the street! NEVER STOP BLOCKIN’ THE STREET!” 🎶🎵
You know what? As a new yorker, I get the whole "tourist trap" stuff. But there ain't no denying the funky sounds this brass band be kickin. You can't down the contagious smiles these Bros be giving on all who passes by. Btw, Nola is my nyc of the south. Friendly ppl , good eats and great music. Just stay away from bourbon street. That's their times square.
This was When NOLA Was NOLA , These Leftist Maniacs like Latoya Have Ruined It , She Ain't Even From The State She's A California Liberal Leftist Why She Was Elected Mayor Is Beyond Me , NOLA Has Sunk Into The Cesspool Of Leftist Santuary Shitzholeism ,It's Really Sad
It's so amazing how started with an small group of people behind, dancing and having a great time, suddenly it's a crowd following and groovin'. Thanks for upload this video, here in Brazil I praise those authentic musicians and their amazing music craft!
Saw these guys 10 years ago in a club called the Green Room 4th July 2009, we were not supposed to be anywhere close but a guy saw us and invited us in. Myself and my son will be forever grateful because he was born on 4th July and this was his 21st birthday! We got back to our hotel later and the receptionist was concerned that we were in the wrong place for us but we found the experience great!!
Robert , Thank you for capturing the real musical flavor of New Orleans! I felt like it was there enjoying this great band! A fantastic video! Thank you! Maria B. 😃👏🏻👏🏻🥇🏆 I hope you can make more Videos this Fantastic Band!😃👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks for sharing this video. Nothing like capturing the moment so it lives on forever. I am a new fan of Kinfolk Brass Band especially when they started jamming We Got That Fire, a NOLA brass band standard! And the lady directing traffic had some soulful moves too especially around the 10:53 mark!! Music is the universal language!!!
Thank you for this. It's a gloomy day today in Austin and this was a nice reminder of my times in NOLA. We just pretty much go to see this and then head out to continue our trip to Florida, it's a yearly tradition.
Wow!! This is the first time i checked out this video!! I'm imagining you guys playing inna funeral COMBINED WITH THE COFFIN DANCERS FROM GHANA....really!!! Its gonna be the most awesome funeral ever....try to connect with them..you guys are a pair made in heaven!!
I only saw this because of one of the Cox n' Crendor Animations, to be honest, if this did happen a lot in the year, I would too be somewhat annoyed. But for seeing it the first time, this is awesome!
In the city where my family is from there is the "Glasgow Coma Score" to show how badly beaten around the head you are. There really should be an equivalent "New Orleans Jazz Score" to see how much of your body responds to this fabulous music!!
The roving bands of new orleans. My son got taken by one. Now he plays the drums. I'll never forgive them. Washed over him like a wave. He was screaming my name as the band washed past bourbon. I was holding to a lamp post, fighting the rush as they said I'd be perfect for trombone. New Orleans bands are a growing epidemic in the city. It's slowly becoming more filled with band players than citizens. We all hide when we hear them. It's like zombies but jazzy.
Call this hokey but brass bands do NOT just play down the st. and let people follow 'em and all do their best to jam it out and have a good time in the US except in NOLA.
LOL Thats the beauty of music and New Orleans, who cares about rythm as long as the music touches your soul enough to move your feet. Have a good time and do what you wanna. 😊
love this, but black people brings the meaning to this music, no matter, not trying be funny but white people ain't going understand this , you don't see our black people out at all.
