I cannot count the years I watched Ms. Leah featured on many shows on PBS! Her passion for cooking and compassion for community was inspiration to me. My biggest culinary regret is that I didn’t visit Dooky Chase on my one and only visit to New Orleans in FEB 2018
I loved hearing about each one of these people's back stories! The first family generational closeness is aspiring! The last story she is unapologetic she is authentic I love that! I will look for her cookbook! New Orleans is just tradition on the next level. 🎉🎉
Was in NOLA a couple weeks ago. Ate at Cafe du Monde, Commander's Palace, Daisy Dukes, and a few other places. Looking forward to going to Antoine's next year. Good food is an absolute must on a trip. Went to Bern's last year in Tampa, going again later this year.
That food looks amazing but that Chase man is FINE. Lord, I need my smelling salts! Once I saw Toya Boudy’s food I could not get online FAST ENOUGH to see if she had a cookbook! Success!
We have eaten there and I must say it was beyond disappointing. We were seated in a tight corner between what I imagine was a group of businessmen out for dinner. We were inside and it was very loud. Our server seemed very rushed and not at all friendly. I ordered a filet that arrived overdone….Looked like 😮lump of coal. I said nothing as the place was so busy and we had been seated for long time. It took awhile to pay. I could not recommend it. So disappointed and it was not cheap.😢
