@@debsmith7861it really wasn’t bad. Vikings were running out the clock for the entire second half and were playing conservatively (for instance the two times they got to 4th and inches and could have easily gone for the first down but punted bc to be safe and preserve the lead).

Well the Vikings have needed a qb who can run the ball for years. It opens up the field so much. It’s a win win in both sides

@@moamin8 Ok, but they also fell to 1-4 first. And 2 of those 3 wins you just mentioned were against last place teams. If you were to lose a true top 10 QB for any team, their season is essentially over. The Vikes got Dobbs for a bag of footballs, he had to learn the offense on the fly, and somehow they haven’t taken a step back at all on offense. If anything, you could probably say they look better now, AND they don’t even have their WR1 or WR2. The fact of the matter is, the NFL has evolved. Kirk is a pure pocket passer, and he’s a fine QB. But being able to have a modern QB, who can dodge pressure, buy time, and take off is such a weapon. I don’t see how this team could even consider going back to Kirk if this success continues. Just imagine when KOC gets to pick their own guy to develop, and has time to learn the offense.

Don't get my hopes up. I am a long-suffering Vikings fan. 1975. Drew Pearson. NFC conference game. Pearson pushed off Nate Wright. It should have been offensive pass interference.

I missed the game because I was working, but I thought the same thing watching this! Some quarterbacks have plays called for them to run (think: Vick - inevitably reckless at the end of the day), but others just know how to scramble, like Cunningham and Dobbs. I hope it continues to be that way!
