I love taking tours when traveling! They are fun and informative too! I came across the Pirates of the Quarter Tour and I was very intrigued? Pirates of the Caribbean of course comes to mind... and I had never heard of pirates in New Orleans... but there had to be something to it, right? Well, sign us up so we can find out!
Let me tell you, this is one of the BEST tours we have ever done! The Captain was extremely entertaining and everything he shared with us had been thoroughly researched. So we learned a lot but had a great time while learning. We most definitely recommend this tour next time you are in New Orleans!!
Something else we had always wanted to do was a walking tour in the Garden District. The houses are so beautiful in this area of the city. We enjoyed seeing and learning about the different architecture... and seeing the celebrity homes! Beautiful section of New Orleans to see on foot.
And after all of the walking, if you need a break, we have a couple of great suggestions for you as well!

Great tours&footage guys! Thanks for the Memories! I lived and worked at one of the huge Casino Resorts in Biloxi lived there for 8 years. Until Hurricane Katrina the eye actually hit Bay st. Louis about 25 miles away from Ocean Springs Ms. Where I lived. The footage on the news never said this. The only reason New Orleans was affected from all the flooding from the hurricane and their levees broke. Otherwise they would not have even been affected. So very sad. We fled to FL. Normally you would head north but not in that particular storm. The only awesome thing that came out of Hurricane Katrina from that point on you were allowed to take your cat and dog to ANY and ALL motels. Prior to Katrina there was only certain motels that would accept your animals !!! Anyhow I would work 16 hr. days also worked at the Coliseum all of the concerts, Mardi Gras balls Etc. So my 3-day weekends we'd always go over to New Orleans or Baton Rouge or Lafayette where you really get the true Cajun experience. Or over to Destin and Sandestin and my favorite Seaside. Tucked away little bitty sign covered by foliage. Has the smallest Post Office in the United States I think?😆 It is truly like walking into a beautiful postcard!😆 so that was pretty much my life style for 8 years. Until Hurricane Katrina hit August 2005. Hadn't been back to New Orleans since . So that's why I said Thanks for the Memories ! 😆Anyway love you guys travel /R.V. videos!!Love all your beautiful footage. Keep On Rocking. And as always safe and happy travels!💗💗💗 sorry comment so long. 😪Please forgive oh I didn't realize you were a Louisiana girl so you of course already know this Katrina info

Yes, Jean Laffite was a pirate...and he was a pirate who helped the Americans win the Battle of New Orleans...I think it is fitting we have his name all over the city.

I know Tia Torres with pitbull’s and parolees has a bar somewhere in the quarters. I wish you guys could visit and put it on your RU-vid. If you come across her tell her the Diane Alvarado from new Caney Texas is her biggest fan.

Ok just wondering. Now that the boys have graduated will they be going to college or will they be traveling with you.? what are their plans. I have read all of the Ann Rice books . Love them.

They only want to travel every now and then with us. Colby wants to become an electrician and Cameron is going to come work with us in the travel business.

Dude... what is it with these guides?! 😂 We run into the SAME problem about every other time we film a tour. "Are you filming? No... don't film me..."
@EECCTravels
@EECCTravels 3 года назад
It comes down to the guide personally as I have used this tour company before and that guide allowed filming. But we made it work and were able to share the info.

Awesome Pirate tour. Really liked the Garden District tour with you describing the houses and architecture. Too bad your tour guide was such a prig and required masks! Over all your chores are still fantastic.

I really enjoyed this video and the Pirate tour looked amazing especially without masks. I am not so impressed with your garden tour guide and this time you needed a mask, very confusing and contradictory. Shoes lost "memory " I believe you have the new "dementia " brand by "Al Zeimer."

They just opened a Lucy's in Foley at OWA. Got to try next time I get down there. BTW if you are still in Gulf Shores check it out. They also have Murder Creek Distillery

Pirate dude seemed awesome. The garden district dude and mask enforcement would be a deal breaker. You’re outside for Pete’s sake!!!!! C’mon man! Just say no to masks
