@@livamilAVA First it's not your ethnicity wich is good or bad. It's your actions. Second, Ostapenko is not a Ukraine citizen. If you consider her a Ukrainian it means that you don't consider Kudermetova to be a Russian also. She's a Tatar then.
I think she did but she shouldn't have. It's part of the game. Don't play the game if you are worried about getting hit by the damn ball. Go for the head when they give you a drop shot on you.
It happens dude. They are all professional players… Kudermetova was in the WRONG spot because she was sleeping during the point. Ostapenko also put her hands up if to say “hope you’re okay.” Ostapenko is perhaps the most entertaining and engaging player on tour right now.. keep it up Queen ❤
yah I seen in a match one as usual Coco was half asleep returning shots and for some reason she lobbed an easy ball to Iga at the WTA Finals and then for some even further unknown reason just stands still literally on the T so Iga of couse punishes straight into Gauffs face but shes lucky Gauff got the racket up in time
That was low. The least she could have done was put her hand up like most players do. The umpire should have had a word to Ostapenko and possibly told if she does it again she will receive a warning.
what's funniest is that after the ball bounced off her opponent's face back across the net, Ostapenko hits it back again, just in case the point was still going. Ostapenko just wants to win so bad
Okay you're missing the point of the video it's fine to hit someone but you just raise your head and you say I'm sorry you say sorry you got hurt you be a little classy which you know ostapenko obviously is not Fresno tennis players hit the ball at you on purpose but not at their face
@@oscarstory one is all you need to be in tennis royalty forever. One slam is enough to put you into Hall of Fame contention and Wildcards forever. Ask Emma shes falled to almost the 80 hardly even a qualifer rank anymore still gets WCs to the Big League events.
This video is all you need to watch to see what a despicable player Ostapenko is. No apology what so ever for nailing Kudermetova in the face! Truly amazed that she has a fan base at all, all of her on court antics are horrible! Surprised she doesn't get warnings or disqualifications. I see Mom in the stands watching, must be so proud to watch your child act like this. I guess because she's making money Mom stands by her.
i dont see anything wrong with ostapenko- winning is everything - E V E R Y T H I N G - and Jimbo Connors would say' the opponent is trying to steal my pay checq' - and he would be ABSOLUTELY right!
@@andreasmissiroli6915 AMEN! so tired of the flluffy virtue signalling powder puffing of the world these days everyone terrified of being cancelled for the slightest mistake
Ostapenko has a terrible personality if not something worse. Too many issues to solve and she doesnt always win otherwise she`d be no1 and she is not even in the top 20. lol
2:40 hahaha, omg Alize is so adorable. ... We all agree with you babe, but yeah - apparently that is one of the crazy rules of tennis: any time the ball hits the/an opponent, it is point to the other player. who knew tennis was so savage?
I personally do go for body shots in doubles (mostly feet and legs for smashes/volleys and around my opponent's ellbow hight for baseline shots). If I hit, I check on my opponent and I apologize for hits, because it's not my intention to hurt him but to win the point. I apologize for the outcome, not for the decision and I think it's important to make a difference there. Another interesting situation is to go for the bodyshot, if your opponent (already at the net) decides to give you a drop shot. He knows exactly where he'll stand if you reach the ball and what situation he's putting you into. If I can't hit a pass or lob confortably, I do go for the body shot, because he's making me come up with something effective with a distance of maybe 3m between us.
thirdly ... 0:44 confirmed: Ostapenko is ... crazy? or genius and tough as nails. Perhaps that "shot" off Samsonova's jaw bone would have counted had Ostapenko not hit it back
In second last clip Ostapenko swears in Russian. Umpire after getting informed about it by lines umpire: Code Violation: Audible Obscenity ms Ostapenko Ostapenko: I didn't swear. I spoke in Latvian. Umpire: Please. Who you are trying to fool? I know you did swear. Ostapenko: I didn't. Umpire: Please stop. Stop being childish.
usually hanging around the 20s been as high as 16 or something line that close but not in Top 10. She always plays above her rank though..never mind have to edit that she was once as high as World 5!
