I use the Kimbrough #124 HD servo saver on the 4s & 3s Arrma line, works great. You have to do a very slight mod to the #124 saver, you simply cut 2 corners off the saver at around 45 degrees to give clearance. The Kimbrough #124 is cheap but very strong as its made to go on large gas powered cars.
There's a newer version hot racing servo saver without the plastic adapters that strip out. The new version has 23 or 25t aluminum cut directly into the servo saver itself. Its $24 on ebay. It's much much better than the old version with the plastic adapters. Hope this helps, and thanks for the vids
Really like these upgrade videos you do. Really helpful and set by set of you doing them. And you explain why you think of doing it. Just good stuff earl. Happy bashing.
I’ve been through about dozen servos with LMT definitely need a good servo and saver I would throw the RTR ONE in as I upgrade other Rigs , just really hard on servos only one I didn’t fry was 150$ pro tech. You guys can use kimborgh… savers to only 10 bucks good keep a spare’s
hola ,podrias poner subtitulos en Español? me gusta lo que haces, pero no me entero .Dentro de poco voy a adquirir el arrmas outcast 4s y me gustaria saber que modificaciones y mantenimiento haces....saludos desde España (Madrid)
Love your content dude! Your fix it videos helped me alot. Have you had any issues with the straps? I've got 3 I let the kids bash with and they take a beating but I've had a hard time keeping batteries in place and straps holding tight or repeatedly snapping.
Stock servo on my outcast 4s sucked bad also. Put a perfect pass in there but with the 23 tooth coming stock on the v2 I had to get rid of the servo saver and modify an aluminum arm to make it work. Also had to file down the plastic of the mount a little. I was worried about eliminating the saver but that dang perfect pass just takes abuse like no other. Haven’t had a single problem. Had to turn down the servo because it was so fast and strong it was too much for that little rc. Great fix Earl that car will last forever now. Great rc 💯
Earl, have the kraton v2.5 4s, my servo works fine sitting, once i start running, its hard to steer, not sure if its servo or front tires not digging in! Great video thank you.
I notice after 10 minutes of running the steering falls off and looses torque like it’s overheating also the short wheel base needs brake or letting off the trigger to turn or it has a push
Glad I went with a different servo for my build. I also eliminated the servo saver since its the same one I run in my typhon and that one has had major abuse over the years.
