I'm sticking with the Original, because I love the opening on that and it has brought me compliments and it's still very noticeable. I recently went back to 1 Million and I instantly enjoyed wearing it on my skin. I feel very comfortable wearing the original 1 Million. It doesn't let me down at all. And I call it unique because there aren't many mint fragrances around these days, yes the original contains mint. Bleu De Chanel, the original Le Male all have Mint in their fragrances which in most NEW fragrances is no longer used. The original 1 Million has all the right ingredients for me. I would like to see more modern fragrances using Mint again. The original is a Legend.
I love this one more than the EDT and Elixir. Toss up btw Royal and the Parfum. Royal garnishes me compliments at work even 7-8 hours after application.
@@9ERZALLDAY 3-4 for office. One girl said she could smell it from about 5ft away and that was 2 sprays. I think it is strong perfume and lasts quite a bit, so spray what you can handle.
I have a problem mr. Rebel. I got to try this twice and I’m shocked how much I like it. The opening few min are alright but then it gets chocolatey cardamon and then more sweetness comes in. Some vanilla and some bubble gummy sweetness blends with it and then far dry down the herbs come out. It’s like a less sweet 1 million elixir without the florals mixed with Badboy extreme without the aromatics and not as loud. It’s really really good!
It's opening is very aromatic with the sage and lavender coming thru. It starts getting a little sweeter and resiony. The sage comes in play with the vanilla and smells great. I spray 5 sprays and it lasts all day. First two hours are good then it starts settling down. It's a good mood scent that will grab attention.
I just tried 1ml tester on my skin and forgot I had it on my arm when I went to work, one of my male colleagues said "damn when you walk past me I can smell the perfume and it smells really f*cking good". Note that I had a longsleeve as well, and he could smell it through that. I tried another 1ml when I was at home, and yeah the smell of Royal is utterly addicting for sure. Do I dare use it during warm days though? I've ordered one and patiently waiting
Personally I think this fragrance is underrated. It currently has 3.7 on fragrantica, probably because the opening isn't that great, however deserves to be above 4 easily. Nevertheless, 10 - 20 minutes in, it turns into this sweet aromatic slightly soapy fragrance that is a total banger. This lasts for about 4 hours after which it becomes deep ambery slightly dark and resinous and loses some of those aromatic qualities. This however, only seems to happen if I spray it on my skin, if I spray on my shirt that aromatic soapy punch lasts well into the next day(or more). I still need to fully confirm this but for those that want that initial dry down to last all day(myself included) an easy hack could be to only spray it on your clothes.
Thanks for sharing! I would not go by the ratings of that site. Sure, scents are a 100% subjective thing, but very often whatever ratings are there, they feel off in one way or another 😂 1 million royal is a nice scent!
@@rottenrebels Indeed, I've also noticed quite a few ratings that just didn't make any sense to me. I think a combination of positive and negative hype, snobbery, and people not taking the time to fully experience and analyse fragrances(especially those that don't have great openings which i find is oddly more and more often these days, I think it's the use of cardamom in the top notes) means that quite often there are distorted rating there. Of course it's subjective to some degree but that doesn't explain some really nonsensical ratings. Yes I agree that it is a nice scent and your 8/10 is pretty spot on. I might go as high as 8.2 but that's just splitting hairs at this point.
@@Crypt0n1an I think the sort of distorted ratings are a combination of many things. The best way to use that site is to first and foremost understand and learn what you enjoy in a fragrance and then just use the site and it's info as a light kind of "guidance". Appreciate the feedback, and I agree on 1 million royal being a good scent!! 😁👌👍🙌
@@rottenrebels That is exactly the strategy I use wrt that site, it's mostly to check the note breakdown of new fragrances, read comments and check out the similar fragrances section, to get an idea of the style and see if it worth checking them out. I don't completely disregard the rating because sometimes it is fairly accurate(1/3rd of the time it is within 0.2 +/- ). In any case I've noticed our taste in fragrance is quite similar, keep up the great work!
Smells great but performance and projection is bad had to buy another bottle just to make sure my first bottle wasn’t a bad batch but both have bad performance and projection
I'm a bit meh with this one. I think Elixir is a superior scent so I'm not in any rush to buy Royal. Some of the timings of the new releases are a bit odd. One should expect to see new, fresher scents ie seasonally appropriate, at this point in time. Prada Luna Rossa Ocean EDP and D&G Light Blue Summer Vibes are the ones sparking my interest along with the 2 new Guerlain fragrances. My lastest obsession is Perris Monte Carlo. Do you have any of their fragrances?
That's a very good observation! Perfume houses should indeed be better on releasing scents that are sort of in line with seasons. I would be bored though if all I saw for x amount of months was freshies or heavier scents, etc. 😉 Paco Rabanne overall does not have that many freshies in their "active" line-up of scents. They mostly do other kinds of scents with more depth to them. I think it's like Invictus platinum (that was released spring last year, just ahead of summer) and the OG invictus that are leaning more towards something fresh. Most of their other scents are not that 😊 Appreciate the feedback on the new 1 million Royal!! I've only tried one or two Perris Monte Carlo, so I don't have that much experience of their fragrances.. Can't remember how they smelled like, just that I was not that impressed. 🤷♂️ Which are your favorites?
If you gona jump someone with your homies for talking trash, use this fragrance. It will leave a nice memorable scent trail while you stomp the guy with the homies
It’s gonna take me a few wears to like & enjoy it (whenever I decide to do so). Maybe I’ll try to overspray as you mentioned for the change I want the scent to actually be. But then again I’m a Prive lover still holding on to my last bottle of it & as long as Lucky can be found for $130 & below it will be my go to out of the line.
I got to sample royal a few weeks ago. I don't have any one millions but this is quite nice.. need sample it a few more times before I think about adding to the collection
Is 1 million elixir better smelling than 1 million Parfum? I can’t find where to buy royal at but I’m addicted to the Parfum and would love some peoples opinions on the elixir.
@@user-go6wr3kl6k 😁👍yep! I know my friend I got my bottle since a good time now 😉. I have good memories and even if I am more into niche scent now I really like jean Paul Gaultier fragrances. Always fun and long lasting sexy scent👍
I like the new one! And it has grown on me a bit more since my review. It's so tough to rank them all since they all have their unique thing going on. Privé is without a doubt one of the best. Have you tried the new royal? Thoughts?
Where would you place this one and elixir on the list you did with the other 3? I've only tried the original and parfum and I think the parfum is amazing - but im pretty biased with anything by Quentin Bisch..
This release and notes didn’t really excite me. One of the few I won’t be too upset if I don’t get my nose on. Coach is coming out with a coach green! I need another green to add to the collection. Slightly lacking.
thanks for sharing! I've put quite a dent to it now. Like I mention in the review, there's something quite intoxicating in the dry down when I overspray it. Wish that part of it would be more intense though. It still doesn't blow my mind but I enjoy wearing it 🤪😆 Have a fab weekend!
@@rottenrebels these companies are really just cash grabbing now... It's ridiculous Only scent so far I can say is different to anything I have is the scent magnetic and that's probably because of the bran.. Something I've never smelt before My fingers are crossed for jpg le male elixir and Prada ocean edp ..
Ocean EDP is a good one. I was coming back around and about to pull the trigger on either the EDT or getting 1 million Elixir from Macy’s and heard about the EDP & that it was available. Long story short I bought it & came Tuesday & it is 🔥🔥🔥. Solid 8 easily.
@@blacsheep19 The scent magnetic is another nice one!! Probably one of my absolute favorites in "the scent" lie. Hoping Le Male Elixir will be a good one.. Love what JPG are doing so really hoping it's going to be something amazing.
