Good statement from Roger. I've just the most incredible experience of my life. I'm sure I would as well if I saw a counterpart of myself in a room that changes without warning.
I love the way Chris Pennock plays this scene as Cyrus with the awkward hand gesture after Chris refuses him the address book. Cyrus lived in his mind so his awkward physicality reflects that.
When Barnabas used the i Chiang in 1969 and traveled in parallel time in 1970 is was the most rememberable times on Dark Shadows like your watching for the first time
At least Barnabas, Roger & Quenten witnessed the mysterious room which appears as the other group of Collins families & friends (looked the same but their lives are different) at the moment & then disappears again. Now, Barnabas is "sucked" in & trapped in another time. 😲😲
I think Nancy Barrett finally got the chance to play a character very different in nature from her previous ones. PT Carolyn seems very hard and cold natured.
And that was a great loss for the show. Even with all of the wacky supernatural goings-on on DS, there was always the patrician Roger Collins, with his great aplomb and unfailingly supercilious skepticism to bring a sense of cultured reality to DS. PS While real-time Roger was an occasional, “social” drinker, parallel-time Roger was a full-fledged, blottoed, dipsomaniacal lush, who apparently roamed around Collinwood, spending the day getting wasted. Although both Rogers always displayed an incredibly acerbic wit, which PT Roger directed mercilessly at poor Maggie Collins.
WOW! Two Rogers! That is one creepy room! How did they manage that? Roger is right! Barnabas should be very careful! This is right out of The Twilight Zone!!! Weird, or what? (sorry, that's a mention of Bill Shatner's show) These videos are so cool! Thanks so much for sharing! ~Janet in Canada
