New Pass Protection Mechanics: EA Sports College Football 25

Full slide everybody blocks gap down leaving rb to pick the end man on the line of scrimmage away from the call. Half slide is 3 man sliding to the will backer (to the left or right of the most middle backer in the defense ) while the other lineman (2 usually, guard and center) go block the tackle and end on the other side, this leaves the rb to block the Mike or next over blitzing threat on the non slide side. Base is basically big on big or back on backer also known as a solid call, meaning the open side guard or center (if uncovered) watches the Mike and double teams if they don’t blitz and picks him up if they do. Empty is only the o line blocking the mdm (most dangerous man while the qb accounts for the 6th rusher (if they blitz) with this protection the most important gaps are protected those being the A and B gap, if blitzed. They all have strengths and weaknesses but that’s the basic run down of the pass pro calls if that makes sense

Lovvvveee the video! But, as an OL coach, I wanted to help with the check release and empty! Check release pertains to the rb. He checks for blitz, no blitz he releases! Empty formation, there is no back in the backfield!

All i know is when i use to play you protect the A gap first, and the back if you have one is on scat meaning he picks up the the worst threat threat from the outside, 3 step drops we was cutting

how the heck are you a football coach? the blocking is terrible. EA can't ever figure it out. the gameplay itself is fun but the blocking ruins alot of moments and the barebones dynasty mode.

I’m sorry man, but this game is just flat out bad. The o line blocking is terrible. Like laughable. Your dbs are brain dead. Pressing the wide receiver is non-existing, like they just don’t press. Even Travis Hunter. Like huh?. This is embarrassing and I couldn’t be more disappointed! I wanted this game to be so good and I just can’t believe they put this out. The introductions are basic af. They don’t get me excited at all to play the game. Last EA sports game I will buy. I’m done!
