I'm so happy with the updated proposal, it's so much more in character than the first version, and they also added so much symbolism to it! The last time he went down on one knee was when he confessed about the orb, and this time he finally gets to have that moment as something positive! Also OF COURSE he'd kiss Tav's hand. Not only because he's a gentleman like that, but also because he probably loves those hands for the sheer reason that the VERY FIRST THING they did to him was to save his life 😭

This is a brilliant take, thank you so much for sharing! 🤗 You're absolutely right, the first grab by Tav's hand, through the orb to the proposal, it fits the picture absolutely perfectly. Personally, I fell in love with him during the orb confession. 🥰 I'm so excited for brand new players who romance Gale and then see this updated proposal as the "real" romance ending for the first time.

You can find a complete guide "Gale's Romance" on the BG3 Wiki. But basically if you trigger his three romance scenes (one per act) and convince him not to go after the Crown of Karsus before/during the third scene. Hope that helps 😊
