"Yes my conspiracy theory has been disproven, but that doesn't mean i don't believe in it" Harstem has the soul of a real conspiracy theorist 🤣 BUT he doesn't believe that killing neutral critters makes you loose the game (karak i think was supposed to be cursed)
@@MultiChrisjb assuming you have a large enough sample size and actually record all outcomes (rather than going by feel, which is subject to biases) 1/6 is still pretty likely and runs of the same number are pretty much expected when rolling a die and lets be real... with how long a game takes, there is no way that individual players have a statistically sufficient sample size
The low amount of new maps in the matchmaker could be intentional: Consider a scenario if a new map has a problem or is broken. Biassing the matchmaker to the old maps limits the damage. It could be risk aversion
this may not be a popular request but I'd like to see you do a no-micro bit. I'm a combat veteran with PTSD and have issues with random hand movements. Playing the game with hotkeys is tolerable but microing units is nearly impossible; it's luck more than anything if i can click on a small unit that i meant to. Would you consider doing a series or some matches with low/no micro - focused on hotkeys and A moves? 🤔
Why is it at 15:45 your opponent responded and their name was Meow, 23:39 has their name Meow everywhere but the score screen at 23:54 has the opponent named SlyCrab???
I feel really smug when you said "I don't know what he's doing" right as I recognize the Terran playing roughly that uThermal timing attack with a mine drop build and he flies in the mines. God I'd be so good as a quarterback if I could do it sitting in an armchair
You can only play maps both players don't have banned. You banned all the old maps, but everyone else banned as many new maps as possible. So there's only a couple maps left to choose from.
That's not what people do tho and Harstem is not the only one with this problem. Even if everyone would have 3 vetoes on the new maps there would still be more new maps left anyway.
7:14 I guess other ppl (the majority of these) are vetoing the new maps. So when you sign with the reverse vetoed, on average you get more old maps. As you will probably queue into someone with the new maps vetoed first.
Because by the time the shield battery is finished ( 5:05 ), you should already be blinking inside the enemy base. Plus if he did build that, Harstem would be missing 2 stalkers at 5:29 and the Immortal is going to survive for longer or even just didn't die at all.
4:12 - I'm convinced that this first game was somebody offracing or something like that. This is the kind of stuff that I'd expect out of somebody offracing and not knowing the matchup honestly.
Sentries should also be allowed to build, warp units, and power buildings only when the shield is activated and the shield duration or usage cut by a few seconds so supplement.... would add a whole new level to toss and usage of the Sentry for cannon rushes and all ins instead of just a warp prism
TvP was never imbalanced to begin with. This patch was just wild. Storm is underrated and the recent gsl matches prove it. If idiot protoss players would actually use their strongest unit they wouldn't lose tvp. This entire patch was silly. Side note: these new maps are awesome.
Either people veto the new maps alot, or they have a hidden system where they ''ease you into'' the new ones by only making you play them every now and then. And maybe remove this after about a month or two
For beating GMs with stupid stuff, I believe there's a previous idea of yours that deserves to be taken further. In one episode you played Zerg and stole an SCV so that you could build a command centre. That was good and all, but how much better would it be if you made a *complete* transition! You start the game as Zerg, then finish the game entirely as Terran/Protoss. The ultimate challenge.
20:04 during thise phase you were talking about your extra base, its better to rotate 1/3 rule from your nat or main to the third depending on teh distance, if you feel secure and all new probes are produced without travel to immediate mining next ot htenexus, this increases how much you mine from all bases as you have no wait, sat time. althoguh you lose 15 seconds at most, its not that far, you end up ahead. IN general the nexus telsl you your probe limit in those areas. SO rather the nrallying form teh father nexus, its better ot transfer adn refill. Quick calculation, its usually liek 6 and 3, which is nice nad 6 , 6 ,6 from the other nexues, since yo utypicall will be getting your 4 gas at some point... but meh, its only going to be like 240 mineral increase.. and at hte risk of a attack destroying the new base, but you did have map control. like zerg a great early base, allows for you to peace out your workers while defending the hatch and rebuilding... Zerg drone management is not as important since you burst build units, whereas I find terran and protoss worker managemetn is key to squeezing out resources faster.
Probably a lot of your opponents have been vetoing new maps, so the game is pushed into site delta since you'll only play on maps not vetoed by either player.
Protoss Storm is now OP. Maru was torched by storm and had no answer. Terrans need to go back the drawing board to figure out how we are going to stop the storm.
Proxy 4 rax, proxy factory cyclone, proxy marauders - this are the T meta. Also expect wonderful build of second gas after 3d Nexus to be back in full strength.
@@scrapbotcommander well the thing with this build is that its about spamming zealots. You spend gas only on first adept, twilight, charge, +1 and robo (for a Prism). This build become very popular when they removed clock on the WM (it used to be always). Back then Zealots had damage from charge, however they also moved more slowly and could be kited by stimmed bio. This used to be seen on most of ladder games and it was really bad state of the game. Oh, if you don't kill T with couple of waves of zealot spam you add 5 gases and Templar Archives and add Archons.
It's choosing maps that you don't want to play on. It doesn't guarantee you'll never play on them, but statistically you should play on them less often. Does that help? Cheers, V
@@vinimagus I'm pretty sure the map is chosen out of the maps that aren't vetoed, and it not possible for both players to vetto more than 6 out o the 9 maps. So you'll never play on the maps you veto, at least in 1 vs 1.
I think most people veto the new maps, so you are more likely to get games on the old map. Only content creators and some pros want the new maps. Everyone else doesn't care enough to learn them yet.
